This is probably my favourite flight review I've seen from you, mainly because I like the Boeing 787, and that the route you travelled on, the food on the plane, the friendly staff, and the key features seen in the business class seat! You've covered this very well! I hope to see more!
The king has returned! And this was well worth the wait! This was actually much better than what I was expecting, the food looked good and for a domestic product it would be outstanding but I'm not so sure if I could say the same about international, but still a great meal. I did really like though the crew, they seemed so nice and friendly. I've always had that with QF cabin crews. Anyway great video Rory and can't wait for your future videos!

Great detailed video of your flight Rory. Wish we had have flown that aircraft to Darwin when we flew last month out of Canberra instead of the Alliance Embraer we had which was much smaller and didn't have entertainment screens. Can't wait to be flying the Qantas B787 in a couple of weeks when we fly Business class to LA :-).

Nice to see you could get a seat because after six weeks of waiting hours for the phone to be answered on numerous calls to customer service and being told it would be fixed but wasn't and the promised callbacks not coming either we still do not have tickets or conformation for our flights to LAX in two weeks time using our Qantas pass. Here is a good one, the customer service operator in FIJI says her changes that will fix it will be sent to the ticketing office in NEW ZEALAND but it will take FIVE DAYS. QANTAS THE NATIONAL CARRIER? A TOTAL MYTH!!
That goat curry looks amazing… heck, all the food in that Qantas Club does. And walking through a duty-free lounge without being able to buy anything would kill me… I need my cheap Johnnie Walker Black Label haha! All in all, another great video
Excellent video Rory. I’ve been looking forward to it since I saw your instagram story on the day that you travelled. I’ll miss the 787s when they stop flying here to Darwin. Most nights I hear QF1 & QF9 depart to LHR if they’re using Runway 29. I look forward to my turn on a 787 one day!
Very nice review of Qantas and your experiences. It's up there with Wingin'IT, another TH-camr that does frequent travels, and reviews of flights and his travel experiences at all levels of flying - economy/coach, business, first.
Looks like you had a good flight with Qantas. That airline's biggest problem is inconsistency with service quality. I've had good flights, and woeful flights with our national airline. Been like that for the last 15 of the past 35 years I've flown with them. Over the last decade I've tried to avoid Qantas. The UAE carriers offer a far better service to Europe. Who's best for AUS-USA? Probably Air NZ if you're not in a rush.
Thanks for the review Rory. I can't imagine flying 16 and a half hours in cattle class to Darwin from London non-stop. I think deep vein thrombosis would be a real risk for passengers. Business class only for me I'm afraid. Darwin to Sydney is a long flight within Australia like Brisbane to Perth. Glad you could lie flat.
I did QF 8 …. DFW - Sydney business class last month on 787. American allowed us access to the DFW Admiral’s lounge for our four hour wait for the 11:30 pm departure! QANTAS is THE BEST ON THE PLANET!!

Such a long time Rory. Where've you been? I'd be disappointed if in these past few months you've been to places other than Sydney and we've not seen it.
I think Rory speaks very clearly and he is easy to listen to and for him to localise his pronunciation would make him sound fake. We all love Rory the way he is, pleasant, honest, informative and easily understood.

Is it still possible to book a seat on the domestic sector in either direction? Wont come up on the QF website for some reason.
