Ingredients:
• 2 medium eggs
• 100 g of sugar (1/2 cup)
• 80 ml oil (1/3 cup)
• 50 g of soft butter 4 tbsp
• zest of one lemon
• 10 g baking powder (1 teaspoon)
• 360 g of flour (2+ 1/2 cups)
• 1 apple
• juice of half a lemon (about 20 ml)
• 40 g of sugar (2 tablespoons)
The cream :
• 400 ml of milk (2 cups)
• 1 yolk
• 62 g of sugar (5 tablespoons)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 4 tablespoons of corn starch
• 200 ml whipping cream
Bake for 25 mins oven temperature 355F

I made this , to the recipe , the custard just flowed straight out into a big mess . Tastes ok but definitely not a cake , more like custard pie thing you need to eat it out of bowl .

I had the same problem .I trued even adding more eggs and corn starch .left it in the oven for over 1 hour still wasn't like hers
