No, you climate control in the 98 is completely different than 99-00. I have another video on how to install a double din into a 96-98 civic. Check that one out.
What’s the largest size screen that would fit for 99 HB civic ? Online I saw some 9-11” that say it fits but it would probably block the climate controls or AC vents I’m guessing.
I have a 9inch screen and it does not get in the way of the climate controls whatsoever, the screen is more to the right so it does not interact with the controls

Might not see this but the blue plug you put into the car mine doesn’t have it 😂 car got broken into and that’s how I bought it ,would I just hav to get a matar one again and then sodder each wire? Then doctor steps? If anyone can help let me know!
So that blue plug is an aftermarket adapter that you buy so you don't have to cut up the harness in your car. In your case, it sounds like your plug that goes into the radio was cut off and you only have the wires left. If I were you, I would pick out the radio that you want to install and use the harness that comes with the radio and wire it directly into the cars wiring harness. Hope this helps!

You must have a 96-98 with the different climate controls. I have a video on how to do that as well.

I don't believe you can. Usually the bigger name brands don't let you do stuff like that because it's "unsafe".

My harness for the car is missing still has cables but no harness^

Would this work with a full 2-din head unit? Or did you choose the sony specifically because of the 1-din back?
It’ll work with the full din. I chose this radio because I had it in previous vehicles and just transferred it to this car.
