Huge amount of work in 1 year! Epic rust repair, hard to believe a 1999 car can get that bad. Cool job on the hood too. Very inspiring build.

Seriously impressive restoration. If I saw that shell I would say its a lost cause but you turned it into something amazing. This is far more impressive than builds that throw a bunch of expensive parts into a new car.

By the wheels and seats, I thought it was an Ek4. Then I saw the rear drums and then I saw the single jingle. My man, not everyone can show so much love and good work ethic to a "mere" EK hatch that's not an Ek4 or Ek9! Hats off.

Congrats on a really good rebuild. Your knowledge is amazing and you have the patience of Job. I would have given up after seeing all the rust. You are very meticulous in your work. Your work on the valves and pistons and shoring up the leaks proves that. I love what you did with the install of the tablet and the rearranging of the climate control system.
This rebuild hits close to home because my first Honda was a 96, 3 door Civic hatchback, DX model. Your videos are informative and a pleasure to watch. I thoroughly enjoyed binging the entire Civic rebuild series.

Had an accident last Oct.24th and my daily w204 was a write off. Have no choice but to make my 1998 ek hatch same as d16y7 5speed manual to run just a to b. Need a ton of body work like this bc it was neglected by previous owner. Dont hv alot of money and space to work this really helps me alot restorating it.

🙏🙏 I got a cheap welder off eBay that runs gas and flux core wire. I've only used the flux core wire. Doing the civic was my first time welding . Just start you'll soon figure it out 😬😬

Beautiful work on bringing the civic back to life. I have an ek hatch also imported feom German, was very clean and all original. I just had it repainted and did a f20b swap by myself. When you do it yourself, therws a connection with the car
