First off, this is a great tutorial, but unless you have access to a JDM/EDM stereo fascia with intact A/C vents; DON'T DO THIS. USDM vents DO NOT FIT. No plan to. It is surface rust so not concerned. My previous EKs have had it too. Pretty much every 90s Japanese car will have that on the dash support.
What's audio quality like with that headunit? Notice a drop off compared to standard single din
Hey mate, the audio quality is better than factory. The joying headunit has a built in amplifier which is quite good. That said, i am not audio fanatic! But can confirm it is better than stock
Can anyone tell me if the back window glass off a 96 00 civic sedan would fit the civic coupe?
I cannot confirm but i have had a sedan before and the tailgate does not look compatible with the coupe. Sorry mate
@@JCYT when you say tailgate you seem to be referring to the other 2 door civic which is the del sol (it’s a hatch back) Mine is the 2 door coupe EJ7. Thanks anyway
Number part of the dash?
Do you have a link for the harness?
Hey mate
The part number is in the description. If you're in australia, they are readily available from supercheap repco
Do you find it difficult to operate the climate control unit? I noticed in some other videos that the moving lever from cold to hot gets more stiff maybe because the cable is stretched. Has this been the same for you or does it operate as normal?
Hi mate
It is not difficult but firmer than factory. It is definitely firmer in other videos as they have not cut and modified the cable. So take note the way i modified the cable and you won't have a problem. The slider controls the opening of a valve between the heaterbox and the cylinder head. Hope this helps!
This is a great video!
Thank you!
Will a 10.1 inch screen for the 9” bezel?
Hey mate
No the only screen which will fit is the 9 inch contoured sides one. The dimensions are in the link
Can it work with a camera for reverse on a Manual civic?
It will work just need to get the trigger from the reverse light I believe.
@@JCYT Thanks
Where can I get it? I have a 2000 honda civic
Hey mate
Check the direct links in the description
First off, this is a great tutorial, but unless you have access to a JDM/EDM stereo fascia with intact A/C vents; DON'T DO THIS. USDM vents DO NOT FIT. You will wind up with 2 ugly, gaping holes in your dash, that is going to cost you a minimum of $150 to fill them with the proper sized and imported AC Vents. I just UNDID my 9 inch headunit and ac relocation for a stock set up with a true single din android stereo, and it looks 1,000 times better.
Hey great vid
Can this work on the ek3?
Sorry this is probably more specific to JDM models
Awesome bro! Thank you!!!
Enjoy mate!
Que hago si he cortado demasiado el tirador del clima?😅😅😂😔
hahaha buy a new cable!
Link to the fascia
Is your speedometer stock? I’ve been trying to locate one for a minute
Do you need the iso harness ?
Are you going to do a new head unit on the fd?
Hey mate, I have!
I did this a year ago - feel free to check it out: th-cam.com/video/8sfMfSNOafQ/w-d-xo.html
This was also a Joying unit - 8 inch model
WOW. Amazing !
Thanks mate!
Bro ,, very good video and thanks to your information ❤
You're welcome!
Are those dekagrams?
Yes they are!
Wow dude thats badass.. nice..
Thanks dude!
Where does a person source that fascia?
I'd love to get my hands on that!
Hey mate
Check the link in the video description!
Where do you buy these from
check the description for a list of parts. i am based in Australia though.
Does it work on a usdm?
Hey mate
I don't see why it wouldn't, but you will need to source JDM fascia centre vents
Do they have the climate control on the side of the centre vent for 99-00
