One of my coworkers has a hyundai veloster with an ebay muffler on it and it's so loud it's ridiculous, I understand where you're coming from but if you do your research and spend enough it's one of the best car mods
Clean interior, probably the most legit improvements I’ve ever heard. It really does make you feel better when you get into a vehicle that you enjoy driving.
I just really deep cleaned my car for the first time since I got it and i felt like i was driving it for the first time again. Can't explain it but it's just a thing.
So many people need to hear this. Worry about the foundation before throwing mods at it. Spend your money making sure everything is well maintained and clean first. Respect the vehicle for what it is.
The most I can tolerate my car being dirty is having some dust on the dash and soil on the carpets when it's the rainy season or during a week where I'm active on my mountain bike. I absolutely despise food debris in my car that turns into mold and stains. This isn't being a germophobe, this is being a hygienic normal human being.

This video is so on point. - Clean Interior -The difference between someone who enjoys driving and someone who goes from point a to b. - Yonaka Exhaust - Had to replay my OEM due to rust. Went with this option. Its PERFECT. I cant recommend enough.
I've always told people my favorite mod in my 93 hatch is the Momo steering wheel. It changes the feel completely. But a clean interior is important in any car. Great video
coil overs are good but lowering the car when its not meant to isnt it will put lots of stress on bushings and ball joints etc, the added spring rate from the coil overs is most likely enough to keep the light weight chassis from rolling more than stock so if you want it to be more reliable and sporty id recommend stock ride height and if you want less body roll just put in a bigger roll bar and some polyurethane bushings too edit:also speed bumps or steep driveways will be a pain in the ass with a low car
4 years later.... I did most of those things to my 7th gen. The car is CLEAN, and clean. I keep my interior SPOTLESS!!! Getting into a clean car that after 22 years still has a faint "new car" smell is a thing of joy. But what I really like about my under-powerd car is it's RELIABILITY!!! My civic looks like new from the dealer "plus". The right tires, and so on. Stock, but nicer. I even added chrome rings around the gauges, which look like they belong there to begin with. It took the "cheapness" away with a more Acura feel. But above all, in 22 years since I bought it, it has not given me a single problem. And here I still love watching other people's civic videos. These cars grow on you. I'm still thinking of getting a 90's civic JUST to play with and have fun.... ironically I'm 60, but I'm not defined by what I drive. I HAVE owned European cars, which were endless money pits, even had several rotaries. Those were amazing! I miss my RX-2! But I needed a rock reliable car and eventually got my first Accord. There was no going back. Simple, reliable, fun to drive. ALL my cars were stick, of course! 👍 Cheers from an "old" honda lover.

Agreed! I think in a way the D series Civics are fun to drive BECAUSE they are underpowered. I have a D17A2 powered 05 Civic and a K24A2 swapped 04 Civic (both 5 speed sedans) and I love the power of the K24, especially the low end torque. It's nice to be able to keep the RPM really low and not have to downshift all the time. However, I also like that I can really push the D17 Civic on the streets and floor it all the time without exceeding safe and legal speeds. Being able to drive it like I stole it without breaking any laws and still get 40+ MPG is great!

Love your civic channel. Big fan. This channel literally inspired me to buy a Honda civic. Short story I got my 1998 Honda Civic EX at the beginning of 2020 for $4000 flat from an old couple who had this car garage kept for almost 8 years. The seller did say he kept good care of the car and drove it twice a month and did regular maintenance. I personally thought the price was so-so, but the best thing about buying my civic was the fact that it only had 65K Original Miles with no forms of rust but little dings there & there, and the interior was in pristine condition.
You've got good taste man! Great content. Appreciate how you recommend upgrades while keeping the looks subtle. Your car is probably one of the cleanest Hondas I've seen.
I’m glad to see kids are still enjoying those 90s Civics. The new ones are kinda big, but they come with decent parts, nice interiors and you don’t have to try to replace everything in the car to make it livable.
I had the original Spoon sports street muffler.. They dont sound noisy like the ricers use.. It just sounds good.. Deep rich sound, and not too loud. Made difference to your acceleration too.. Unfortunately i crashed my civic. 😭
I like the twin loop cause it was only like 100 and I loved the sound cause everyone else just has fart cans on their hondas this actually had some class to it but I sold the car due to having a kid now I'm building my 2018 civic hatch and love it wanna do something with the exaust soon
Id say just 1. make it handle good, change old bushings, swap to sportier suspension. 2. Wheels and tires make difference, but Id rather go for lower tire profile than width, as that improves steering response. Tire quality makes huge difference here. 3. Shorter final drive 4. make it sound better 5. Remove any unnecessary weight And its not just about the slow cars, you can pretty much make everything fun to drive, as long as you want to put some money into it. Most of the times these mods ruin comfort though.
I have followed AlldayAnthony for years. Here is my opinion. 1. Coilovers- Truhearts are great 2. Seats- I installed GSR leather seats 3. Yonaka Exhaust -2.5 inch. It doesnt drone on the highway as loud 4. I hated aftermarket headunits BUT I have a Sony headunit with bluetooth 5. Clean Interior is a must
Hot air intake is a must in a slow Honda. Bwahhhhhhh I had an Injen on my 09’ Accord i4. I was hitting vtec all day long. I bought it with 30k miles and drove it to 240k miles. I still hit vtec the day I sold it.
NUMBER 6: Add a rear sway bar! A rear sway bar will help mitigate the understeer characteristics of these cars. If you have a coupe you will have to get Civic sedan or Integra rear control arms (or aftermarket ones) to accept bolts for the sway bar.
Thank you for posting this!!!! I bought a 2000 Honda Accord and I am wanting to make it a fun daily driver. Your list is probably one of the best lists I’ve seen for Honda fans! I do plan on putting an exhaust and an intake on my Accord, but it’s not gonna be anything too crazy. I do wish I would have bought a Honda sooner. But I will say it’s fun driving one!
Love your car! Hey, I would disconnect that airbag. Airbags are designed for a specific model and won't work well in another. Things like the volume of the airbag, the speed of actuation and the shape of it are carefully designed taking into account the interior design of the car: the seating position, the steering wheel position, seatbelts, etc. Putting another car's airbag in your car can be as dangerous (or even more dangerous) than not having an airbag at all. I ended up liking this video more than I expected to. I definitely agree with all of it; especially keeping a clean car. You ever consider upgrading your gauges for a different color like white or silver?
My favorite mod for making my underpowered Hondas more fun to drive is turbocharging them. Nothing else compares. Second would be suspension and performance tires (17x10 with 255 treadwidth on my current build). After that is a built motor so you can use however much power you want. I could have 2000whp and it is still underpowered. You always want more. Lol.
I agree and like your taste in driver experience. Hopefully you keep that car around for a while. Most of modern vehicles today no matter what brand, make & model is all part of Planned Obsolescence.
I have a 2004 Civic EX manual with a jdm d17a. Yea, D-Series. Yes engine is from Japan. Anyways, I searched for Honda Civic 04 mods on youtube and you were the second result. Im glad that ive stumbled into your channel!! Cheers
Except it isn't. This is a total RICE car. Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement. The only thing he did for performance was lower it and put bigger wheels and tires on. I will admit its a nice looking Honda. However for me. I don't care about looks. How does having a nice looking car have anything to do with driving? Get this it doesn't. Can i mount this car in my living room? If I did that how would I "drive" it? You know it is possible to have a nice and clean car but also tune it so its how you say more fun to drive. You don't ever have to put a fart can on it.
Nicholas Sabrowsky Some people don’t care about looks and that’s totally fine. I like nice looking things. I’ve been in tons of ugly fast cars, while they are fun it’s just a different approach to what makes that person happy. A clean good looking car makes me happy.
ChurkaBurkaDurr WV is West Virginia? I was thinking of moving over there someday but I only drive lowered Honda’s & wasn’t aware of the driveways ur talking about😱
#1 cold air intake .gives it a very noticeable sound difference and makes it fun to drive. #2 a cutback exhaust not loud #3 lower #4 realize you really like the small difference the exhaust and intake gave and decide to do a kswap .. #5 after that kswap ...put a bus length on 90% of the mustangs in town
This guy gets it. Screw all the flashy/noisy mods and just focus on the driving experience for once! A lost art.

cant wait to add all the mods to my 98 civic build. lots to come over in my channel
I ended up liking this video more than I expected to. I definitely agree with all of it; especially keeping a clean car. You ever consider upgrading your gauges for a different color like white or silver?
intake shouldve been on the list, hearing the car respond to your input is soo fun
I would love to have that ap1 s2000 steering wheel!! For my 2000 Civic DX
One of my favorite things on my car!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY Heck yeah!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY can you explain the process for getting the airbag to work on that steering wheel
It won’t work
My favorite mod for making my underpowered Hondas more fun to drive is turbocharging them. Nothing else compares. Second would be suspension and performance tires (17x10 with 255 treadwidth on my current build). After that is a built motor so you can use however much power you want. I could have 2000whp and it is still underpowered. You always want more. Lol.
For some reason, you sounded like ChrisFix😂 any new videos that were expecting soon?
So true
i got a momo on mine and it makes an incredible difference
also got bucket seats
“have seats like you’re mother never did” you didn’t have to call me out bro 😂
I agree and like your taste in driver experience. Hopefully you keep that car around for a while. Most of modern vehicles today no matter what brand, make & model is all part of Planned Obsolescence.
1:42 OG MUSCLE VS TUNER
Haha yep!
finally someone who drives a clean and performance oriented honda
My favorite is the (clean car) my friends cars are filthy. And i have to clean my car after them every time... Some ppl are just pigs
I’m just subscribed for the clean interior, trust me, ur car make the real difference
damn i peeped the TurBro diss 😂
Haha they know what good and bad taste is
when they made that vid it wad for shits and giggles
I have a 2004 Civic EX manual with a jdm d17a.
Yea, D-Series. Yes engine is from Japan.
Anyways, I searched for Honda Civic 04 mods on youtube and you were the second result. Im glad that ive stumbled into your channel!! Cheers
This video should be titled as "5 things to avoid being a ricer"
Haha I’m sure it could have been
Except it isn't.
These coupe civics look amazing. I still love them, they were quite popular in Brazil when I was young
Alll I gotta say that’s what she said 😇😂🤦🏽♂️🙏🏽🏁
The interior of my civic is great. I got the fastback, came with half leather half fabric bucket seats from factory. They're bloody lush
Hard to lower your car when you live in WV. Every driveway or somewhere u pull into, being low you aint making it 😂😂
ChurkaBurkaDurr WV is West Virginia? I was thinking of moving over there someday but I only drive lowered Honda’s & wasn’t aware of the driveways ur talking about😱
air bag it 😉
#1 cold air intake .gives it a very noticeable sound difference and makes it fun to drive.
#2 a cutback exhaust not loud
#3 lower
#4 realize you really like the small difference the exhaust and intake gave and decide to do a kswap ..
#5 after that kswap ...put a bus length on 90% of the mustangs in town
Somebody’s used gf 💀
I thought I was the only one that heard 😂
Man, I loved your video, finally a reasonably made video meant for real life people.
Like if honda will forever be your brand 👍🏽
Why people hate on them so bad Vtecs have so much potential they fucking smoke lambos for fucks sake
I love cars like this because you can actually have a fun rip through three gears without being 4x over the limit like most modern cars lol
Im going to really try to get one of these . I personally LOVE the 90s civic coupe
Getting a Honda soon and working on the build
This car was popular when I was in high school. Can't believe someone still drives it.
Great video. I remember Chrisfix videos now. Keeping a car clean is the hardest thing. But it sure makes a big difference
Just picked up a 99 Civic SI. Lot different drive than my Hemi 1500 truck. MUCH better mpg. Much easier to park.. So far so good.
I noticed how clean your interior was right off the bat! Nice video!
