Also i do agree with you that women should be more independent. I'm tired of watching countless men sacrifice their life in war just to save women and children but we live in a society where men have to be more independent while women don't have to be that much independent unless she's a mother.
Here is why men have to be more independent.
1. If a parent kick their daughter(which is unlikely), the daughter can easily report to the police and sent her back but if the parent kick their son their son can't report to the police because the police will say something like 'be a man'.
2. Men can't be unemployed and use his wife's money even if she is rich while women can enjoy spending their husband money.
3. Divorced men have to pay his ex wives in court(which is most likely because of female privileges)
4. In some undeveloped countries, men have to go to prison if his wife did a crime.

And even though it's only a percentage, with almost 8 billion people that one slice of the population still adds up to a LOT of guys, especially if they're all concentrating on just one girl.
