I think this isn't a weird thought. I wouldn't expect the last human born also being the last one to die. If conditions are so bad that humans go extinct, I expect the ones that are bit tougher should already have some life experience. In extreme bad life conditions, I would expect that children and elders die first. Children because they don't have enough experience yet to care for themselves to survive.

It's not as complicated as you think
But what about life on earth? Earth is a terrestrial planet, and it has life, and you don't know what life would be like if it was a gas giant.
@@ImNotJay7 You should have framed the question a little better. Gas giants can't have life on them only terrestrial planet's can because of geothermal energy. But if you asked what if earth turned into gas giant then it would be a different case

@@ImNotJay7 ok so let's say that Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune were terrestrial planet's as dense as earth. Because of their large size the gravity will reach up to 10g or maybe more which will crush them from inside and they will be extremely unstable
