I just noticed, Elita is the only main bot in TF ONE who doesnt have any built-in weapons. She just Karate'd her way thru the movie and just stole a riffle from an enemy when she needed firepower.
Seeing how the weapons manifested from the bots' desire for combative tools per their situation, personalities & build, i'd say Elita One's lack of guns came from her deliberate intention of NOT wanting guns & only willing to compromise by using someone else's if the situation absolutely called for it. She'd shown herself to be a very hands-on person & very willing to get physical during conflicts after all. That went in complete contrast to D-16, who materialized bigger & meaner guns due to his desire for greater firepower, capacity for destruction, & just outright bloodlust for domination.
It's hilarious that Scarlett Johansson, who played Black Widow, voiced Elita-1 and Elita-1 defeated Airachnid, a spider-themed femme fatale enforcer of Sentinel Prime.
I recently rewatched her G1 episode and it still impresses me how it was written. Outside of the relationship connections with Prime's team, the whole episode could have had them as any other cybertronian group. The female Autobots were not helpless damsels to be rescued, nor were the male Autobots suddenly bumbling morons to make Elita's team look better. That is the kind of well balanced writing you don't see anymore. Plus, Starscream's taunt of "How cute. The girls have come to rescue their boyfriends!" Still makes me laugh.
I think it's really funny how the episode established Powerglide being in a relationship with Firestar, then the very next episode has him falling in love with a human.

Absolutely 100%. Elita is one of my favorite characters from the franchise and I am so glad she’s getting the spotlight she deserves. I truly hope she continues to have the spotlight in the future.
If Transformers Animated came out today, the social media backlash to Elita-1 and Blackarachnia being the same character would have been immense. Thank goodness it came out when it did.

Because of that, she became more villainous almost massacring humans when she used Sari's all spark key to cure herself and tricking Wasp into becoming a Predacon and in the 4th season, she was planned to be the main villain creating even more Predacons. It would be jarring that this incarnation of Elita would be villain especially after the past decade of her depictions.
@@toledochristianmatthew9919 Eh, given Blackarachnia is introduced and characterized before and far more than her time as Elita-1 (and TFA’s Elita-1 isn’t very similar to the original beyond the basic “close associate of Optimus before he came to Earth” detail), I don’t think it matters much either way. She’s an incarnation of Blackarachnia first and foremost, with the Elita-1 aspect just being part of her backstory and effectively a homage to moreso than an adaptation of the original character. Transformers is no stranger to reusing names for characters who bear only tangential resemblance to their original incarnations, and TFA’s Elita isn’t much different. Then again, considering how rigid Hasbro is with character names and personalities now (and the vocal displeasure TF fans at any given time have shown towards deviating too far from past incarnations), I’m very likely to be wrong.
I'm honestly so happy Elita took back her spotlight as the figure head for the female transformers, i love arcee and windblade, but it was always sad to see Elita get sidelined so often, especially since she's Optimus's lover no less. I was also ecstatic to see her in Earthspark, though i have yet to learn if her and OP in that series have the same romance as their G1 selves
IDW was very dissapointing making her a completely different Character Not even linked to Optimus . Seriously i Wish WE can See strong compassionate elita one with Optimus Prime.... Without her getting killed for five Minutes for "shock" value.

Ariel and Elita-1 were conceived by two different Screenwriters. Elita-1 was conceived by Beth Bornstein, and Ariel was conceived by David Wise. Sunbow Productions linked the two characters together.

The way they did transformers one really showed a lot of love and care on the legacy that these transforming robots. Plus hearing Chris Hemsworth voice a young Optimus prime a.k.a. Orion pax and Scarlett Johansson doing the voice of his love interest elita one is just icing on the cake hearing the two voices of the avengers in this animated movie. As a Transformers fan since G1 and the 90’s era, this movie makes me really happy to see Elita One get more focused and action. Scarlet Johansson fits perfectly for the character like she did with Black widow. I hope our favorite female Autobot lives longer in surviving the upcoming Autobot-Decepticon Civil War in future sequels. The only animated show where Elita one I know alive with Optimus Prime is in Earthspark. None of us want Orion/Optimus to suffered like he is in Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy Netflix series.

Eilta-1 has rightly lived up to her name in being the number 1 most elite female Autobot who has accomplish a feat nobody else ever has or ever will, she has captured Optimus Prime's heart.
I think Skybound is definitely my favorite version of Elita-1. I love how she became bitter over Optimus and the other Autobots who escaped to Earth, and how she'll do anything to make the war end and find meaning for all of the death that she'd seen across the millions of years she'd been fighting, even if it means using Shockwave's methods, and losing what makes her an Autobot.
An amazing rise from obscurity for her, overtaking even Arcee and Windblade to become the face of the female Autobots. Now we need something similar for the Decepticons, like Slipstream or Strika.
Arcee, Windblade and Elita sharing the position of "the girl of the team". Hope next time any of them appear, they won't be the only female and therefore "the girl".
I'll say that Elita has eased the the roles that Arcee and Windblade had fill for longest time. Though to me it's head-scratching odd that TF One Elita's Studio Series toy is coming but she's not getting Prime Changer toy, but I'll say that Scarlett Johansson was perfect choice for Elita in TF One.
Glad to see Elita FINALLY getting her shine. Of course, we know now that Arcee was created by Sunbow first, as they were working on the Movie around the time Season 1 was originally airing, but most of us were introduced to Elita and her band of female Autobots first through Season 2. As far as we knew back then, Elita was the first female Autobot lead character. It's kinda foul how quite a bit of her appearances in various media had her as far removed from her characterization in her first appearance as possible, even having her a cold and merciless or downright villainous. I'm glad recent appearances have her portrayed more heroic like she was in her Season 2 debut.
I'm very happy that Elita-One became so prominent in recent years, cause this character should have been more inportant than it really was. While she was invision as one time character, her being first (debuted) female transformer and have ties to Optimus Prime, alone gives her some much stand out, even more than Arcee. Idk, who at Hasbro suddenly decided Elita should be more prominent, but I want to thank that guy. The only thing that I wouldnt' say is a issue, but an observation, that Elita became more prominent, around the same time Windblade apperances became less frequent.
One thing that I like which is consistent between Elitas, is that she is the other half of Optimus While he is the stoic kind leader, she is a more proactive and aggressive bot, and when both meet they can keep each other safe and in check
I'm glad that Elita's getting some more prominence - the Skybound comic's doing a really interesting spin on her original concept - but man, it sucks that her arc in One is the Wyldstyle/Trinity story. "Ambitious woman learns that it's best to put herself under the leadership of a less-competent man".
Well it’s pretty hard to do anything else in a story revolving around the rise of Prime and the fall of Megatron, it’s either that or she dies to become motivation.

I remember playing Elita-1 on the playground when Gen-1 was still airing. It seems a little weird that, as a boy (and a cis, straight boy at that), she was often my go-to character, but the one-shot character on par with Optimus was just too mesmerizing. I don't think I've enjoyed any depiction of her since until Earthspark. Easily one of my favorite characters, even back during the pre-2000s.
I’d completely forgotten about the live action version. Maybe it’s for the best. 🤔 A buddy of mine almost gave himself an ulcer just trying to make sense of the movie’s timeline in a count of characters appearances and disappearances. Still never realized it took that long for her to get a toy.
For a character that only appeared twice in the first Transformers cartoon series. Then to have pretty much been forgotten about. The character has had a superstar rise in toys and related media. With a vast amount of fans liking the character and in turn helping to keep that popularity alive.
I wish that in TFOne, cogless Elita was called Ariel (or Eriel, or whatever she's called now), maybe even spelled RE-1 or R3-L (can be pronounced Ariel). Anyway, when she got a cog she could have changed her name to Elita-1. Missed opportunity to honor her origins and give another toy to be sold.

I know you briefly mention the POTP figure, which can act as the torso of a combiner, but there’s an interesting bit about the lore of that figure (if you don’t mind me addenduming your already great video). As of now, the Power of the Primes figure is Elita-1’s only Voyager Class figure, and this is for good reason. This figure has 2 different combined modes: “Elita-Infin1te”, who can be formed from any bots as her limbs, and “Orthia”, who is composed entirely of specific female autobots. Orthia is also canonically called “The Shield of Solus”, created by Solus Prime herself to carry on her legacy, and create powerful artifacts in her absence. If you needed further connection that POTP Elita-1 has latent Prime abilities, it seems that this was Hasbro’s hopes as well. There was a “Who’s Your Prime” vote for the POTP line, with Arcee being one of the choices. We obviously never saw Arcee as a Prime, but they definitely were open to the possibility of Arcee becoming a prime. And who would come out in the second wave of POTP? Elita-1, with a combined mode wielding the literal Power of (A) Prime. If Arcee HAD won the vote though, Design Manager John Warner stated that Arcee’s Prime name would have been “Arcana Magnus”… and isn’t that interesting? That they had a name picked already? And Arcana from arcane, Magnus both like Ultra Magnus, but also the Magnus Hammer. Arcane Hammer sounds to me like a reference to Solus Prime! Perhaps Orthia and Arcana Magnus aren’t too different

I kind of like how elita-1 is now being betrayed as Optimus Second in command because now we have a consistent first lieutenant that the auto bots always have rather than it just depending on which ever series you’re watching because the Decepticons have a first lieutenant we know him we love him it’s been consistent for the past few years but now the auto bots have their own first lieutenant.
While it's great to see another long obscure character get some spotlight, I do wish more versions of her would use her origin as an ordinary bot that was rebuilt into a war machine just like Optimus. Most versions tend to either briefly mention her pre-war days, or say she had always been Elita-One. Which is a shame because there's some really good story potential to explore both Optimus and Elita's transformations both physically and mentally.
Elita-1 is one of my favourite Female Autobots, Thanks to both War for Cybertron Trilogy and ScarJo voicing Elita in Transformers One. 💖👍 Imagine Elita-1 meeting Party Wallop in a Transformers x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic crossover by IDW Comics, because growing up as a kid Scarlett was a fan of TMNT and her favourite was Raphael.
Conceptually speaking Arcee was the first female Transformer to had been designed, but Elita-1 was the first female Transformer to make the debut of female Transformers. As such, I was really disappointed that Elita-1 had only one appearance in G1 and then Arcee was the only one who was always shown. Elita-1 and her crew really deserved to have been shown more... And I fear that her and her crew either met their end by Shockwave off camera, or by Unicron's attack on the 80s movie that also ended Shockwave.
The amount of casual Transformers fans that were shocked to learn Elita and Arcee were two different characters when the first trailer of TFONE came out was extremely funny
Whenever there's a continuation of TFA, my wish is for Blackarachnia to be cured and reverted back to Elita One by the end. I imagine TFA S4 being conclusive by tying up all the loose ends the show abruptly ended on.

One of the only things that really bothers me about TFO is that her character wasn't named Ariel before gaining her transformation cog. Optimus was Orion Pax, Megatron was D-16, Bumblebee was B-127, and Elita-1 was...... Elita-1? Would have been nice for her to have a 'complete' upgrade like the others.

As a Transformers fan since G1 and the 90’s era, this movie makes me really happy to see Elita One get more focused and action. Scarlet Johansson fits perfectly for the character like she did with Black widow.
I hope our favorite female Autobot lives longer in surviving the upcoming Autobot-Decepticon Civil War in future sequels. The only animated show where Elita one I know alive with Optimus Prime is in Earthspark. None of us want Orion/Optimus to suffered like he is in Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy Netflix series.

Eilta-1 has rightly lived up to her name in being the number 1 most elite female Autobot who has accomplish a feat nobody else ever has or ever will, she has captured Optimus Prime's heart.

I think Skybound is definitely my favorite version of Elita-1. I love how she became bitter over Optimus and the other Autobots who escaped to Earth, and how she'll do anything to make the war end and find meaning for all of the death that she'd seen across the millions of years she'd been fighting, even if it means using Shockwave's methods, and losing what makes her an Autobot.
An amazing rise from obscurity for her, overtaking even Arcee and Windblade to become the face of the female Autobots. Now we need something similar for the Decepticons, like Slipstream or Strika.

I'll say that Elita has eased the the roles that Arcee and Windblade had fill for longest time.
Though to me it's head-scratching odd that TF One Elita's Studio Series toy is coming but she's not getting Prime Changer toy, but I'll say that Scarlett Johansson was perfect choice for Elita in TF One.
Taking a look at TFwikis article, Elita only has that 1 rock em sock em figure and the SS figure. Blokees and yolopark had to pick up Hasbro's slack.
Glad to see Elita FINALLY getting her shine. Of course, we know now that Arcee was created by Sunbow first, as they were working on the Movie around the time Season 1 was originally airing, but most of us were introduced to Elita and her band of female Autobots first through Season 2. As far as we knew back then, Elita was the first female Autobot lead character.
It's kinda foul how quite a bit of her appearances in various media had her as far removed from her characterization in her first appearance as possible, even having her a cold and merciless or downright villainous. I'm glad recent appearances have her portrayed more heroic like she was in her Season 2 debut.
I'm very happy that Elita-One became so prominent in recent years, cause this character should have been more inportant than it really was. While she was invision as one time character, her being first (debuted) female transformer and have ties to Optimus Prime, alone gives her some much stand out, even more than Arcee. Idk, who at Hasbro suddenly decided Elita should be more prominent, but I want to thank that guy.
The only thing that I wouldnt' say is a issue, but an observation, that Elita became more prominent, around the same time Windblade apperances became less frequent.
One thing that I like which is consistent between Elitas, is that she is the other half of Optimus
While he is the stoic kind leader, she is a more proactive and aggressive bot, and when both meet they can keep each other safe and in check
I'm glad that Elita's getting some more prominence - the Skybound comic's doing a really interesting spin on her original concept - but man, it sucks that her arc in One is the Wyldstyle/Trinity story. "Ambitious woman learns that it's best to put herself under the leadership of a less-competent man".
Well it’s pretty hard to do anything else in a story revolving around the rise of Prime and the fall of Megatron, it’s either that or she dies to become motivation.

I dont Like the skybound Version its Like idw all over again they try to hard to make her gritty and brutal so that she comes Off AS strong but they Always forget one Thing she was Always describe to have the Same unshaken morals Just Like Prime so If Prime IS Like the dad of the Autobots elita is the Mom of the Autobots i Wish WE would See that way more her compassion and morality. Thats at least one Thing they kinda get right in TFO.

I remember playing Elita-1 on the playground when Gen-1 was still airing. It seems a little weird that, as a boy (and a cis, straight boy at that), she was often my go-to character, but the one-shot character on par with Optimus was just too mesmerizing. I don't think I've enjoyed any depiction of her since until Earthspark. Easily one of my favorite characters, even back during the pre-2000s.
If the Decepticons big 4 are Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave and Shockwave

For a character that only appeared twice in the first Transformers cartoon series. Then to have pretty much been forgotten about. The character has had a superstar rise in toys and related media. With a vast amount of fans liking the character and in turn helping to keep that popularity alive.

I wish that in TFOne, cogless Elita was called Ariel (or Eriel, or whatever she's called now), maybe even spelled RE-1 or R3-L (can be pronounced Ariel).

I know you briefly mention the POTP figure, which can act as the torso of a combiner, but there’s an interesting bit about the lore of that figure (if you don’t mind me addenduming your already great video).
As of now, the Power of the Primes figure is Elita-1’s only Voyager Class figure, and this is for good reason. This figure has 2 different combined modes: “Elita-Infin1te”, who can be formed from any bots as her limbs, and “Orthia”, who is composed entirely of specific female autobots. Orthia is also canonically called “The Shield of Solus”, created by Solus Prime herself to carry on her legacy, and create powerful artifacts in her absence.
If you needed further connection that POTP Elita-1 has latent Prime abilities, it seems that this was Hasbro’s hopes as well. There was a “Who’s Your Prime” vote for the POTP line, with Arcee being one of the choices. We obviously never saw Arcee as a Prime, but they definitely were open to the possibility of Arcee becoming a prime. And who would come out in the second wave of POTP? Elita-1, with a combined mode wielding the literal Power of (A) Prime.
If Arcee HAD won the vote though, Design Manager John Warner stated that Arcee’s Prime name would have been “Arcana Magnus”… and isn’t that interesting? That they had a name picked already? And Arcana from arcane, Magnus both like Ultra Magnus, but also the Magnus Hammer. Arcane Hammer sounds to me like a reference to Solus Prime! Perhaps Orthia and Arcana Magnus aren’t too different

I kind of like how elita-1 is now being betrayed as Optimus Second in command because now we have a consistent first lieutenant that the auto bots always have rather than it just depending on which ever series you’re watching because the Decepticons have a first lieutenant we know him we love him it’s been consistent for the past few years but now the auto bots have their own first lieutenant.
While it's great to see another long obscure character get some spotlight, I do wish more versions of her would use her origin as an ordinary bot that was rebuilt into a war machine just like Optimus. Most versions tend to either briefly mention her pre-war days, or say she had always been Elita-One. Which is a shame because there's some really good story potential to explore both Optimus and Elita's transformations both physically and mentally.

Conceptually speaking Arcee was the first female Transformer to had been designed, but Elita-1 was the first female Transformer to make the debut of female Transformers. As such, I was really disappointed that Elita-1 had only one appearance in G1 and then Arcee was the only one who was always shown. Elita-1 and her crew really deserved to have been shown more... And I fear that her and her crew either met their end by Shockwave off camera, or by Unicron's attack on the 80s movie that also ended Shockwave.
Thanks to TFOne, Elita has became my favorite female Transformer character of all in the franchise 🫡🩷

Whenever there's a continuation of TFA, my wish is for Blackarachnia to be cured and reverted back to Elita One by the end. I imagine TFA S4 being conclusive by tying up all the loose ends the show abruptly ended on.

One of the only things that really bothers me about TFO is that her character wasn't named Ariel before gaining her transformation cog. Optimus was Orion Pax, Megatron was D-16, Bumblebee was B-127, and Elita-1 was...... Elita-1? Would have been nice for her to have a 'complete' upgrade like the others.

Actually, Takara made an "Ariel" figure, based on the Energon Arcee mold.
Here's hoping the rest of Elitas' team from the 80s get some time to shine. Mainly Moonracer, Firestar, Lancer and Greenlight.
It's been nice to see Elita get her due but I hate that there's a "go-to female Autobot" at all when there are so many unsung roboladies who deserve their time to shine. It really rubs in how disposable they are that Windblade got sidelined once Hasbro realized how much mileage they could get out of another G1 character.
