Transformers Prime, helping to usher in a new era for Transformers fans, past, present, and future with its cinematic style the likes we haven't seen since Beast Wars....and that's just Prime
It’s been over 10 years since transformers prime ended but the animation still looks good to this day. The animators put a lot of effort into it. A nice improvement from beast wars.
The biggest tell that transformers prime is an older cgi animated show is the lack of background characters and the sparse environment. Everything looks great but there are times where there's just not enough things on screen to make it realistic.
Transformers Prime did look great but I don’t think it’s fair to compare it to Beast Wars. Beast Wars came out in 1996! TP came out in 2010…14 YEARS later. The technology from the 90’s to early 2000’s had greatly improved. It’s not a fair comparison in my opinion, for the time…Beast Wars look great and better than a lot of other cartoons back then. It’s simply was a different time
Out of all the Transformers shows I've seen, this is definitely among the best. The biggest standouts for me were their portrayal of Starscream, the backstories for Arcee, Optimus and Megatron, and everything involving Knockout.
I look at Starscream as the biggest problem in TFP, actually. It's pathetic he's the only Decepticon to get a confirmed kill on an Autobot we were supposed to care about, and tragically, he effectively got away with it. Because whenever he was very close to finally being killed off, he always cheated death...
@@Jimboliah3985 Shockwave and Airachnid have confirmed kills as well. Jack is Arcee's third partner there, with Shockwave and Airachnid each killing one of them. Shockwave also kills one of the Dinobots if you expand from the series.
Nobody would really give a crap when Tailgate got killed by Airachnid. And as for Shockwave, I don't read the comic books or ancillary media. Cliffjumper being killed by Starscream hits much differently because, like I said, we were actually supposed to care about CJ since he was hyped up as a main character, only to be thrown under the bus. Besides, pretty sus how most deaths were Decepticon bruisers, right?
This show is my favourite Transformers show I’m so glad it was apart of my childhood, I still remember when me and my friend would watch all the episodes together those were the days.
The slowmo shot of Optimus and Megatron fighting side by side was the most epic moment. One of the most saddest moments was when Ratchet heard of the destruction of the omega lock. And don't let me start with Optimus sacrifice at the end.
There was supposed to be an additional scene at the end of the movie where they were going to cameo the human characters with Ratchet returning to earth to report about Optimus' death, it was just never finished though they did show the storyboards for it
I remember feeling disappointed that Transformers Animated had to die for this show to exist. But seeing the comments, it's clear that it brought a lot of people into the fandom.
TFP had some big ideas, but also big issues. The abrupt death of Breakdown was unsatisfactory, especially given the hinted plot line of divided loyalties between Megatron and Starscream. But overall, the cast was really stellar.
I had been jumping for joy after having completed War For Cybertron and roughly by that time the teaser came out for Prime. I remember thinking "ehh animation looks good but the character designs seem off a bit with no noses, bigger eyebrows etc" Believe me when I say that after the 5 part opening arc Darkness Rising ended I was BLOWN AWAY by what Transformers Prime was doing as a show. Once it ended with Predacons Rising and Optimus sacrificing himself to restore life I cried alot of tears because it was the first TF show I watched from beginning to end. It had its behind the scenes flaws sure and some episodes now seem rather inconsequential but above all Transformers Prime remains one of the points in the franchise that I will never get bored of or forget for as long as I live. Its that good.
It's nice seeing this after a lot of Prime disdain I've seen online recently. Is this show perfect? No, and I can definitely recognize some of the issues as I've gotten older, but this show will still have a special place in my heart, no matter how many complaints I see.
I know some disdain comes from how it is hyped up as the number 1 best show in the franchise as if competition doesn’t exist. People hyping the show up like that attracts people who think otherwise. Personally I prefer transformers cybertron as my number 1, I try not to lambaste Prime but I will admit, the rhetoric I mentioned above does get to me sometimes
@@Xeno-The-WandererThat’s definitely a big part of it. Prime is a good show, but a lot of people act like it’s perfection and criticizing it is a sin. It’s okay to acknowledge that it’s flawed and that there were better Transformers shows.
I remembered this show got disdain as the show was airing. Every episode was full of hate. I agree with the previous comments that it partly due to Transformers Animated fans were upset that their show got abruptly canceled and didn't have the planned 4th season, then this show came in to replace that There are shows that get hate as they're airing but ended up very beloved over the years. I remember people hating on Code Geass when it premiered on Adult Swim and calling it bottom of the barrel, and yet it ended up becoming one of the most beloved animes. I remembered Avatar was hated when it aired, but ended up as beloved show.
As someone who had the privilege of growing up with both shows I see them both as s-tier shows. Also when you really think about it the two are kind of opposites to each other. Animated sought to pay homage to everything that came before it while prime laid the groundwork for everything after it. plus when you really get down to it, there are only like two other shows in the whole franchise that are on the same level of quality as Tfp.
My twins were born in 2007. Even though I showed my son the G1 cartoons and Animated, he considers TF Prime “His” G1. He loved the show the best and the figures. We have the entire line. Including all the cool Predacons and Star Pirate figures who were conceptualized (but never-realized) Season 4.
I understand that Beast Wars and Animated are a ton of people’s favorites and nowadays Prime is looked at as “overrated” but I really don’t care. I love this show! It’s the first Transformers series I watched as it released so it has a huge spot in my heart. Also it has TFP Arcee so by law I have to love the show. Great video as always!
Ironically these days I'd actually consider TFA to be more "overrated" than TFP since TFA had its fair share of problems as well (extremely poor treatment of female characters barring Sari Sumdac, underusing many characters esp. the Dinobots who were totally worthless in the show, running out of ideas for Starscream by S3, repeating the winning formula they had for S1 Megatron in S2 and S3 but made lamer, etc.)
@@juanyusee8197 Not to mention that the finale is kinda a mess, partially due to season 4 being cancelled, but even if it wasn't it's a pair of particularly rough episodes.
While _Beast Wars_ introduced mature, serialised, character-focused narrative into the U.S. _Transformers_ media with _Beast Machines_ marrying it with high philosophical thoughts and _War for Cybertron_ and _Fall of Cybertron_ can boast magnificent visuals and scrupulous worldbuilding, _Prime_ brought those 2 high points together, creating, in my opinion, the best take on _Transformers_ as an intellectual property yet.
Yoo same like back then I was in the 5th grade heading into middle school when season 3 was airing and concluded wit the tie in movie also fun fact tge hub used to have thier own lil website where you could play the tf prime computer game too way way back
You know Chris, I like that you acknowledged the fact that Transformers Prime is beloved by a new generation of fans aka the kids who the animated show was primarily targeted at. That earns my respect to you man. I was a 7 year old kid(boy)who watched Transformers Prime ever since it aired on TV and loved it. Sometimes I would watch it with my older brother. TF Prime was pretty much the first TF cartoon I was able to watch from the beginning to end. I did watch TF Animated when I was a kid, but I was only able to watch some episodes of it.
The season 3 episode "Thirst", were Knockout and Star Scream work together to clean up a mess of Decepticon turned Terrorcons they created, is probably both the best and most definitely my favorite episode of the series. I LOVED it when those two conspired to work together in the show.
Wasn't expecting to see this at all today. As someone who grew up with TFP (alongside the 2007 film) and loves tge series to death, this is an absolute treat.
I remember finding this one Netflix one day and thinking "ok what the heck is this" and watching the first episode and thought "holy shit this is awesome" I also remember thinking man the guy voicing megatron is incredible" and I looked at the cast and saw it was Frank and it blew my mind. His approach to Megatron was very much like Mark Hamills Joker. It got 1000 times more menacing as the years went by.
TFP is easily my favorite TF cartoon with TFA being close behind. I love both TFP's story and characters as well as character designs for cybertronians that are so different from usual G1 inspired designs that we tend to see these days.
Though I didn't see this show until a few years after it finished airing, 'Prime' was not only my entry into the world of the Transformers, but the show also proved heavily influential on my writing and art. Hands down, 'Prime' isn't just the greatest Transformers cartoon ever: for all its troubles, it's one of the greatest animated series of all time.
Transformers Prime was my G1. I saw a couple of episodes of Cybertron and Animated, but never really paid attention to things like continuity until Prime started airing. I like to think Prime set the modern standard for Transformers stories going forward.
I have a soft spot on my heart for this series It could have been better? Oh yes, absolutely Nonetheless, it introduced many concepts that pop-up here and there once in a while Even more importantly, the series was full of charismatic and memorable characters (Like Arcee, Knock Out, Agent Fowler and more) In the end, it’s hard to imagine where we would be today without the Aligned Continuity and this series
Transformers Prime is the peak of the Transformers franchise, it’s the best made cartoon, has the best stories, direction, characterisations, action etc. What’s crazy is if you read about the behind the scenes stuff with TF Prime, it’s a miracle this show came out as good as it did, with the budget cuts, story arcs being abandoned, characters being written off, and Hasbro abruptly ending the show. Ultimately the show went out of a high, I do love the ending of Predacons Rising, but I feel this show could’ve gone on for 6 or 7 more seasons.
Nah Beast wars for life! (In all seriosness im glad u enjoy it so much i just personnaly dont think it deserves the title of „BEST TF SHOW EVER“ is it up there, yes, is it at the top, no. But hey u do u)
@@NebLlebThe animation is the only part I would say is objectively better in Prime. Everything else is subjective, and frankly I’m finding a lot of it depends on when you became a Transformers fan.
Nah, it's bottom, worst tf cartoon. Action is dull, always same in every episode. Animation and graphics is bad, but everyone is think it's good because they didn't saw any 3d tf cartoons after 2005 and other 3d cartoons in general(like clone wars 2008 or tmnt 2012). Don't even know how to shortly say something about story. I think best thing is to quote creators themselves: "you won't see how characters grow, transform"(from behind the scenes broadcast 3 days before Prime premiere). And, personal, 4 season of tf animated was cancelled because of Prime.
@AIFT_Staff I can understand disliking it but I wouldn't jump to saying it's the worst. To this very day, Energon is still the worst show. Prime Wars was the only thing that came close.
I love how they managed to take the Superhero silouthes from Animated, & the "believable Tech details" from the Bayformers & made them work better than either also, it will forever amuse me that the show basically ends up with Megatron going "WHY NOBODY TOLD ME OPPRESSION WAS BAD?! that's it the Decepticons are dissolved, everybody go home!"
I think it's even funnier when you remember his backstory in Aligned. Robo-Satan zapping him caused him more pain and a worse feeling of oppression than the Council's Caste System apparently ever did. Frankly, it makes sense. Robo-Satan and all, but Unicron zapping Megatron into switching sides is certainly a lot less nuanced when you consider Megatron's original motivation.
Transformers Prime is one of my all-time favorite shows and I’ve got all three seasons on DVD. Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Arcee and Bulkhead are my favorite Transformers and I’ve got their toys.
I remember trying to watch episodes of Seasons 2 and 3 at school before and after classes. I was in middle school at the time, and I did my best to check them out on Monday mornings on TH-cam. Transformers Prime, without a doubt, became the biggest influence for me as a Transformers fan, even more so than the movies. I may get back to writing my own audio drama series entitled Transformers Chronicles at some point, which is an adaptation of the Prime cartoon, but with different faces and a crossover with Power Rangers. Thanks for making a basics vid on my personal favorite Transformers show, Chris! And thanks to Dom for sponsoring it on Patreon!
I'm very fond of Transformers: Prime. I haven't seen it all the way through, but the action and look of the series has got me hooked. In my Transformers roleplay, I've even reimagined G1 style versions of Prime Knockout, Dreadwing and Skyquake with new alt modes.
For some reason when i was a kid i thought transformers prime was a sequel to transformers 2007 and i got confused and saying stuff like "why is megatron Alive again?", "where is ironhide and sam?", "why is ratchet not green?"
Funnily enough the Japanese dub of animated did make it in continuity with the movies, but I don’t believe the same happened to Prime, they just took out most of the serious.
You’re the reason you are the goddamn reason!😂 the reason why executives make up the stupid stories about some audiences might not understand. So they change up the show or remove characters to lessen the confusion.

Plus knowing Frank Welker was returning to voice Soundwave...I WAS HOOKED!!!! Its brilliance, that's all I can say about Transformers Prime: Pure unadulterated brilliance!
I remember watching as a kid and the Rock Bottom episode sticking with me. Just the sheer helplessness of Bulkhead and Miko and the menacing aura of Starscream, I was terrified lol

My favourite TF show. Unfortunately the start of my favourite, Cliffjumper, getting offed as soon as the scene rolls, but I have hope soon he'll get his time to shine without dying! I still have his TFP toy. Thank you for another great episode!
This show was awesome not just bc its nostalgic but its just really epic. Is it perfect nah but it does enough well to hold up now that im older. Darkness rising and the orion pax arc will forever be one of my favorite TF stories
Bro facts yk everytime I hear the theme song it just now brings back memories of my late childhood where I was watching it falling in love wit the show back when I was like 10 or 11 years old
And yet even still, it could have been so much better. The first season was quite solid, but the planning just became a mess as behind the scenes clashes took place and budgets ballooned out of control.
My earliest memory of the show was watching the sword fight between Optimus and Megatron in season 2 and watching Prime lose his sword. More than a year ago I finally watched the whole series, and that was one of my best experiences to date.
This show was PEAK Transformers. I wish we got more. The Autobots grow in numbers. We get to see their full plans for the kids, MECH, and they got to make their whole multi-property and have MASK, GI-Joe, and everything else. It would’ve been great. Really my only complaint was linking the WFC games to it. It just doesn’t work. There’s a lot of holes that can’t be reconciled. They can have the same background lore but they should be different spin-off universe.
Me seeing random episodes in the morning TV during Prime's original airtime and thinking "Huh, a slightly more ambitious Transformers-cartoon huh? I wonder what that's like" led me to watching the entire thing, then checking the other cartoons, then reading the back then running IDW comics, then buying some toys, then playing Devastation on the PlayStation... And now, over 10 years later, with the hype from Transformers One, I'm back in the mood for this franchise and rewatching all of Prime on my DVD boxsets. While not the best cartoon in the franchise IMO it's still one of my favourites and a precious first show! Thanks for this neat look into it! ✨
Sir, you are mis-stating a fact here. Unicron wasn't buried IN the Earth: Unicron WAS the Earth. In that, all of the materials that make up the Earth formed around Unicron's sleeping body. Also, the main reason that the Transformers fought so hard to keep the guy from fully waking up - which obviously didn't completely succeed, given he was able to possess Megatron's body (Renamed "Galvatron" because of the upgrades Unicron gave him.) - was because Uniicron wanted to end the whole human race - not to mention all other life that had spawned on his body - because of his hatred for all life, since it was his brother - Primus, a.k.a. Cybertron - who loved life & the creating of it. On top of which, the series ended with Megatron - having been freed from Unicron's control - disbanding the Decepticons all together, because of his experiencing "true oppression." This would later be tied into both Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015) AND EarthSpark.
One thing I find interesting is that while the Unit-E project has floundered, the fact that Renegade Games's Power Rangers, GI Joe and Transformers games are all interconnected and compatible kinda functions as a followup to that idea.
Hell yes this show was my jam back in the day, its like the Clone Wars of the TF franchise, its character depictions are my go to default/definitive versions.
5:37 a fanfiction was also created to do that too, but one more person was added into it a techno organic, who does not know she wants a techno organic
Lol I convinced my mom to watch it with me years after I had first seen it. Her describing Ratchet as a teddy bear and Starscream as a rat was very funny. Also she would keep saying she couldn't believe this was a kid show with all the violence. She still ended up liking it.
Fun fact: "Beast Hunters" was the title "Beast Machines" was originally developed under. The title was rejected back in 1999, but was revived as the sub-title of Transformers Prime's third season. It just goes to show how Hasbro never discard any ideas that could be put to use later.
This show got me into Transformers and originally made me a fan, that and Rescue Bots (which I remember thinking was so cool that it was technically in the same continuity). I remember Wheeljack being my favorite character in the show, and it’ll probably always be the best in my opinion.
Considering how hellish the production of this show was, they did an amazing job with it and I can’t imagine how much better it would have been if the crew was given more time and freedom with it. It could have not only been the best Transformers cartoon, but the best cartoon ever
Additionally, Arcee’s voice actress Sumalee Montano went on to guest for 2 episodes of Critical Role’s Mighty Nein series, playing the firbolg druid Nila, searching for her kidnapped son & husband, alongside the Mighty Nein looking for their 3 taken friends, and seeking vengeance for a fallen one. She’s a delightful contrast to the chaos of the group, and really helps slow things down & keep things from being too dark, with 4/7 usual party members dead or gone. A wildly different role than Arcee, and so, so good.
She has a willfully filled list of roles From being in ghost of Tsushima to katana in Beware batman and even in most recent yakuza games she’s definitely not an unknown actor
I loved this show so much, it had legitimately good character writing. I adored this version of Starsceam+Optimus+Megatron. The Beast Wars esk twist also hit all the right notes.
13:08 My expanded headcanon (called the "Robertverse) is conceptually similar to the abandoned Unit: E project. 14:46 And it connects to both Duane's work on Carmen Sandiego & a version of Earthspark (I even mentioned this to Nicole on Twitter one time).
I remember the earliest episode I watched of the show was airachnids introduction episode, and being only like 13/14 years old, I was genuinely disturbed at how dark this transformers show was. Even my Dad who's been a big fan of the series since the 80s was a little shocked, but this shows writing, artstyle, and characters were so deep thar it kept us watching for years. It's still my favorite favorite transformers show, and airachnid and soundwave are some of my favorite characters in transformers so seeing BOTH in TF ONE was so exciting! Hope to see more down the road
Best thing about the show where the deaths they were shocking I mean watch the human factor episode Silas kills his own team! And what they did to breakdown was diabolical easily one of the most gruesome kills in transformers
If u think breakdowns death was one of the most gruesome deaths in tf u clearly know nothing about the comics. Also none of the autobots (except mister false stakes mccliff) die at any point?
15:39 Most would consider this show as peak Transformers television (should I mention about the fan film, Galvatron's Revenge)? Most would also somewhat agree with me that actors Steve Blum & Sumalee Montano are the voices that we associate with both Arcee & Starscream respectively.
I never watched _Prime_ back when it was airing. I had to binge watch on several different platforms to finally finish the entire series, and to this day, is probably one of my top 5 Transformers media to date
This made me think of The Hub as a channel as a whole where they showed old school transformers and other shows too. I loved that channel and prime was just awesome. I started watching transformers with beast wars. Then eventually armada. But prime got me back to loving transformers after a long break.
I agree with the fact that Prime is what the Bay films could only ever hope to be! It’s my favorite Transformers show as well, followed by Animated and then Beast Wars and G1 (of course)!

I can’t say enough great things about this show. The absolute nostalgia I get from revisiting episodes. I miss the Hub network overall, the commercials were so much fun. I miss watching new episodes Fridays after school and sometimes on Saturdays during the summer. The design choices, voice acting, action, story and characterizations of each character were FANTASTIC. As a kid I never understood why S3 was so much shorter than the first 2 seasons, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The S2 finale with Prime’s hand sticking out from the rubble left me emotionally scarred forever 😂 I even told my parents about it and they had no idea what I was talking about Transformers Prime will always be my absolute favorite TF series even as an adult. I wish all 3 seasons were on Netflix. The nostalgia is strong with this one

@@AzraelThanatos Shockwave never killed any Dinobot, if you mean Sludge the comics confirm he's alive he was just put in stasis lock during FOC.
There was supposed to be an additional scene at the end of the movie where they were going to cameo the human characters with Ratchet returning to earth to report about Optimus' death, it was just never finished though they did show the storyboards for it
prime remains my favorite transformers show, and the only one ive watched back to front 6 times over the years. Such an awesome and well told story
As someone who didn’t watch the show in its original run, your videos have made me want to seek it out. Cheers!
you won't regret it, my dude
It’s pretty easy to find on TH-cam.
I wish I was u I wish I could forget the show and experience it all over again
Netflix has season 1 while Tubi has seasons 2 and 3.
I remember feeling disappointed that Transformers Animated had to die for this show to exist. But seeing the comments, it's clear that it brought a lot of people into the fandom.
Both are good series in their own way.
@@jesusromanpadro3853 I agree, no shade to Prime, I just liked Animated
I like animated and prime but i like prime better
This was my childhood 9 years old sitting in front of the TV
I still get goosebumps when bumblebee stabs Megatron and speaks for the very first time
That scene will forever be iconic
That was a beautiful moment
I get chills hearing that line to this day the whole "you took my voice, you will never rob anyone, of anything, ever again" fuckin chills man
This show had one of the greatest musical themes in transformers history
Yeah no cap that theme holds alot of nostalgia for me
4:15 The iconic theme song (in a soothing manner) was used on Calm's "History of the Transformers" story.
It's nice seeing this after a lot of Prime disdain I've seen online recently. Is this show perfect? No, and I can definitely recognize some of the issues as I've gotten older, but this show will still have a special place in my heart, no matter how many complaints I see.
I think the reason it got flak, because TFA didn’t get another new season
I agree with the previous comments that it partly due to Transformers Animated fans were upset that their show got abruptly canceled and didn't have the planned 4th season, then this show came in to replace that
There are shows that get hate as they're airing but ended up very beloved over the years.
@@ThyBigCheddarI’ve never heard anyone say that before. Personally I loved the finale. What was it that didn’t work for you?
While _Beast Wars_ introduced mature, serialised, character-focused narrative into the U.S. _Transformers_ media with _Beast Machines_ marrying it with high philosophical thoughts and _War for Cybertron_ and _Fall of Cybertron_ can boast magnificent visuals and scrupulous worldbuilding, _Prime_ brought those 2 high points together, creating, in my opinion, the best take on _Transformers_ as an intellectual property yet.
At least in the US The UK already had mature story telling in the UK marvel run.
I agree
Prime doesn't have "high philosophical thoughts" at all lmao. It's not that mature either it's just really epic
This series made my 2013-15 time every day
Its an honour i wintnessed this masterpiece

Prime is literally one of my top favorite Transformers shows and always will be. I watched and rewatched it multiple times.
Thank you so much for including our Transformers costuming group ConsPlay Superior!! Cheers from Starscream, Knockout, and Soundwave! 💜 14:43
I remember finding this one Netflix one day and thinking "ok what the heck is this" and watching the first episode and thought "holy shit this is awesome"
I also remember thinking man the guy voicing megatron is incredible" and I looked at the cast and saw it was Frank and it blew my mind.
His approach to Megatron was very much like Mark Hamills Joker. It got 1000 times more menacing as the years went by.
ever since watching prime the line "BULKHEAD! I NEEDED THAT!" lives forever rent free in my head
Prime certainly left its mark on the franchise
Transformers Prime was my G1. I saw a couple of episodes of Cybertron and Animated, but never really paid attention to things like continuity until Prime started airing. I like to think Prime set the modern standard for Transformers stories going forward.
I have a soft spot on my heart for this series
It could have been better? Oh yes, absolutely
Nonetheless, it introduced many concepts that pop-up here and there once in a while
Even more importantly, the series was full of charismatic and memorable characters (Like Arcee, Knock Out, Agent Fowler and more)
In the end, it’s hard to imagine where we would be today without the Aligned Continuity and this series
@@LEGONERD06 Can't we both just get along? I love Beast Wars: Transformers too, but objectively, Prime is better. I love both things!
I love how they managed to take the Superhero silouthes from Animated, & the "believable Tech details" from the Bayformers & made them work better than either
also, it will forever amuse me that the show basically ends up with Megatron going "WHY NOBODY TOLD ME OPPRESSION WAS BAD?! that's it the Decepticons are dissolved, everybody go home!"
Battleship sank my Transformers. Thanks Rhianna.
I'm very fond of Transformers: Prime. I haven't seen it all the way through, but the action and look of the series has got me hooked. In my Transformers roleplay, I've even reimagined G1 style versions of Prime Knockout, Dreadwing and Skyquake with new alt modes.
1:45 I consider this my personal holy grail of Transformers, if there's some way this can be either leaked or accessed online.
It's on Tubi

For some reason when i was a kid i thought transformers prime was a sequel to transformers 2007 and i got confused and saying stuff like "why is megatron Alive again?", "where is ironhide and sam?", "why is ratchet not green?"
Funnily enough the Japanese dub of animated did make it in continuity with the movies, but I don’t believe the same happened to Prime, they just took out most of the serious.
You’re the reason you are the goddamn reason!😂 the reason why executives make up the stupid stories about some audiences might not understand. So they change up the show or remove characters to lessen the confusion.
@@Hotrodimusprime even as a kid, even I knew tf prime wasn't connected to the films as i thought the films being live action and the show being animated (along with the events of the show being different) was pretty self explanatory to other kids that prime and the movies weren't connected.

This series took me by storm when it first came out. My brother and I would spend hours rewatching previous episodes while waiting for new ones during childhood.
Man this series had me on the edge of my seat near each finale! From Unicorns reveal and resurrection, the Autobots base destruction with Primes death( again!😂), Predakings & The Predacons reveal and the battle of Bumble Bee and Megatron! Just to name a few!
My favourite TF show. Unfortunately the start of my favourite, Cliffjumper, getting offed as soon as the scene rolls, but I have hope soon he'll get his time to shine without dying! I still have his TFP toy. Thank you for another great episode!
So basically, bayverse "give me your face" prime is the reason why we got tfp in the first place? Thats pretty cool.
This show was awesome not just bc its nostalgic but its just really epic. Is it perfect nah but it does enough well to hold up now that im older. Darkness rising and the orion pax arc will forever be one of my favorite TF stories
Transformers Prime is my all time favourite Transformers animated show.
Probably the best TF show to be ever conceived. Brings back memories.
Bro facts yk everytime I hear the theme song it just now brings back memories of my late childhood where I was watching it falling in love wit the show back when I was like 10 or 11 years old
Transformers animated has entered the chat
Oh yes! This was THE Transformers show when I was a kid. God, I loved this show and still do to this day.
One of my favorite Transformers Shows, ever
Beast Wars Ravage: DECEPTICONS FOREVER!
One thing I find interesting is that while the Unit-E project has floundered, the fact that Renegade Games's Power Rangers, GI Joe and Transformers games are all interconnected and compatible kinda functions as a followup to that idea.

More Knockout, please. In all media. He should join the big 4 (Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave) whenever the Decepticons are reimagined.
I really needed this video. I am old school fan and Never had the time to watch the whole Prime series.
This show got me into Transformers and originally made me a fan, that and Rescue Bots (which I remember thinking was so cool that it was technically in the same continuity). I remember Wheeljack being my favorite character in the show, and it’ll probably always be the best in my opinion.
It's amazing the series turned out the way it did with all the crazy stuff going on in the background.
I really hope future episodes of the Basic talk more on various Transformers Series.
She has a willfully filled list of roles
From being in ghost of Tsushima to katana in Beware batman and even in most recent yakuza games she’s definitely not an unknown actor
Even though it’s been 10 years the animation still holds up to this day!
This was Incredible Masterpiece for Transformers Prime My All Time Favorite Show in The Transformers Franchise.
This was the Transformers i grew up on. So glad to finally see a Basics episode on it.
Best thing about the show where the deaths they were shocking
I mean watch the human factor episode Silas kills his own team!
And what they did to breakdown was diabolical easily one of the most gruesome kills in transformers
If u think breakdowns death was one of the most gruesome deaths in tf u clearly know nothing about the comics. Also none of the autobots (except mister false stakes mccliff) die at any point?
True! I didn't expect to Breakdown broken into pieces either!!!😢
Breakdown got a breakdown 💀
Thank you Brian Goldner for helping and Perfecting the Transformers brand
After Beast Wars, this or Animated would be my favourite TF series.
15:39 Most would consider this show as peak Transformers television (should I mention about the fan film, Galvatron's Revenge)?
Most would also somewhat agree with me that actors Steve Blum & Sumalee Montano are the voices that we associate with both Arcee & Starscream respectively.
the Rock being Cliffjumper is super funny considering now he has the contract clause in all his movies that his characters “can’t loose”
Thanks a lot Chris!

Transformers prime was my introduction to the transformers franchise, i remmber falling in love with transfomers after that, the stoic noble hero in optimus the evil in megatron the beast of predaking all these unique interesting characters made a beautiful genuinely enjoyable show.
The S2 finale with Prime’s hand sticking out from the rubble left me emotionally scarred forever 😂 I even told my parents about it and they had no idea what I was talking about
Transformers Prime will always be my absolute favorite TF series even as an adult. I wish all 3 seasons were on Netflix. The nostalgia is strong with this one
My favorite versions of Ultra Magnus and Shockwave!
"Did you know the writers killed Cliffjumper because Dwyane Johnson was too expensi-" No, no they didn't.
And if you thought about it for a moment, you'd realise how little sense that makes.
Cliffjumper was in the show? I thought that was red Bumblebee
There's no way anyone actually believes that, right? I'm rather stupid and don't know a whole lot about production, but even I know how dumb that would be.
@PlayerZeroStart there's a certain youtuber I've heard state it as fact several times on their videos. And I see the occasional comment in the wild on youtube and facebook.
Not a huge amount, but enough for it to become a pet peeve of mine.
while yes it's stupid to believe that. but also cliffjumper is the only autobot that died on screen and then stayed dead. he showed up first couple mins of the first episode before his death. in my opinion the show failed to show there would be any stakes because no one else died.

Great video on the basics on Transformers Prime, my friend! This is indeed one of the best Transformers franchise of all time! Also, my favorite character in TFP is Predaking and the Predacons because he and his kind are the most deadliest and fantastic cybertronian dragons in Transformers history.
