Awesome video! It helped me a lot with my install. I had the same issue with the cobra pipe not lining up with the silver PRL bracket. Go to 4:35 in the video. You need to take off the black hanging OEM bracket that screws into the bottom half of air box. There is another 10mm screw that bolts that piece to the frame of the car. Everything will line up perfectly afterward. Take it off when you do your next oil change.
I Will have to look at that next time I get under the car!! But honestly I just drilled out a new hole on the bracket and now everything lined up aha. But thanks! It was a struggle so yeah aha I got mad and just made a new hole
Nice vid, man. Good clear shots of how it all should go together. That bracket was a pain, I found just hand tightening all the screws was the solution, along with putting that bolt in for that bracket 1st, then the lower ones. Still had to use some muscle to get all of them in. That sound is great when you let off, I think that's the wastegate opening up like a blow off valve.
Things fit differently in the Coupe version of the 10th gen civic! I had mad trouble finding an Si intake that fits perfectly, one of Injens fit but it's mostly a closed short ram, the heat shield blocks the sound but keeps it colder.
the holes do not line up! I had to install mine slightly different, one bolt on the bottom on the car frame to the cobra piece and one bolt on the top frame and the cobra piece, then fitting in the tubes was hell but I made it work and everything is snug. took me awhile but I got it done and sounds great! *to be clear I used all 3 bolts on the cobra piece but the brackets connected to the frame only one bolt for bottom bracket and one bolt top bracket. pita!!!!! lol

I have an exact video on that aha. Top 5 mods for the civic. I suggest Intake definitely. Exhaust system. Lower Suspension. Side Markers, Front Lip. Intake and exhaust should not require a tune. Unless you go for a Race Intake then that requires a tune. The Street version intakes don’t require a tune.

Got this recently and I noticed the bracket doesn't fit on mine as well. I am curious though as to what PRL told you about that and how the CAI behaved when it wasn't bolted to that bracket, I am thinking of doing the same would appreciate the feedback.
So I drilled a new hole to match up to it ahahah. There is a bracket on the bottom that holds the stock intake resonator box. That had to be removed to let the intake line up perfectly so that to PRL bracket lines up. But PRL told me if it was possible to get more pics but I got tired of waiting and just drilled a new hole 😂
Have you ever thought about putting the Red HFP front bumper chin lip on or would that be too much red? Can't decide whether to accent garnishes or which looks better everyone does variations that I can't compare to lol

If I have this professionally installed (since I'm not comfortable doing it myself) what's the best way to clean the filter without taking everything apart?
You’d have to open up the bottom part where the fog light is and just bend the plastic down, super easy to do too. Just like I did in the video. I didn’t even remove the bumper, I just unbolted the bottom plastics and it gives enough space to work with
I’ve read that they are not necessary on GDI engines. They are more beneficial on Port fuel injected engines. You can run one but it won’t be that beneficial.
Yeah so I myself, I just drilled a new hole on that bracket that matched up perfectly 😅 But I actually had to remove the bottom black bracket that’s for the stock air box. That was getting in the way I didn’t know this until way later. Some comments here say that. Just remove that bottom black bracket that’s attached to the subframe. Then bam should all line up
The Race version needs a tune. Without it you’ll have a Christmas tree lit up on your dash and your car will not be at full power. It’ll be limited due to all the lights on. With the street version no tune is required.
No I did not, I believe that is only done for the Civics in Canada and UK I believe. PRL sells the conversion to make it go on the left side of the engine bay.

Gotta leave the bracket bolts by the filter loose. Then attach that bracket to the Cai first and then bolt it to the frame. Took me a minute to get it right too
I tried all that and it still wouldn’t line up for me. I had to put a lot of pressure to almost line it up but I couldn’t do it. So I just drilled out a new hole and it’s all good now aha
If your car is lowered, I’d try to turn the wheel all the way to the right, and remove the fender liner where the intake is. It may be a tight area to work with but I was able to remove it like that 2x when I had it. No jacking up the car
I had just drilled out a new hole lol, turns out I forgot to remove something but oh well it’s all secure now. And I’ve already cleaned it twice. Clean it during oil changes, car is already up in the air, just move the plastic out of the way , same way I had installed it.
Not street legal! But PRL is working on making the street version be CARB legal for Cali , I’m in SoCal and so far no issues at all and I’ve been pulled over twice now

This one doesn’t have a CARB sticker. It is required in California but many people get away with it until maybe smog time. But, PRL is supposedly working on making the street version CARB legal

I removed my bumper for the fog lights and it’s literally back to normal

i had just made a new hole aha, but apparently I forgot to remove a bracket at the bottom connected to the frame, it was in the way

Mine is 2020 too with the sensors, I had no issues with that at all , you shouldn’t have any issues with it bro 🤔

I’ve read that they are not necessary on GDI engines. They are more beneficial on Port fuel injected engines. You can run one but it won’t be that beneficial.

All my dash lights came on after installing with my previous tune
nw im using prl cobra cold air intake, its can cause any damage to the car engine

Unless you fully submerge it , nope. Plus, for the winter this can be converted into a short Ram which is a plus .

Around 2 hrs honestly. It couldn’t been like 1 and 30 minutes but that bracket made me lag it
