- In this video we go ahead and install a 2017+ FK8 Honda Civic Type-R Titanium Turbocharger Inlet Pipe Kit. Chad from PRL hooked us up with a good deal on this clearance item inlet pipe. We take her for some rips and even give it some Hondata Anti-Lag. This car also has a flex fuel kit installed running E30, a PRL Catless downpipe, stage 1 intake and is tuned on Hondata.

Always amazing content!! I bought my 19 Type R new last April! I have had some health problems and haven’t been able to get out a a whole lot!! I have Only 2,800 but have enjoyed every mile!! I bought aftermarket 18” wheels and tires and tinted windows!! I plan on keeping it 100% stock as far as power mods!! But I do love seein the power you guys and many people online make with mods!! @@Uberlight2 I own a Kia stinger and a few other toys. My son had an accord coupe V6. Doing the downpipes on that with 3 people it took 5.5 hours. No space to work and prob the worst bolt locations, you have to do half of it blind to boot 😂😂😂😂

If he gets a Milltek Non Resonated you would still have the raw sound but more refined good turbo sound from the milltek as well.
Thinking about getting this but I have the stock air box! It’s says in the website that I need to get the intake as well for it to fit! But will the housing fit the stock air box ?

The heat wrap is personal preference honestly. The titanium inlet tube doesn’t absorb heat nearly as much as the stock aluminum piece. Additionally if you add a turbo blanket you will cut down on a lot of heat as well. This inlet tube paired with the PRL intercooler will reduce intake temps so much over stock the added benefit from heat wrap would be negligible when compared with stock. Besides, that inlet pipe looks too nice to hide lol.

I have the PRL HVI and it sounds amazing. I’ve been wanting to buy the inlet tube but every time I try to buy it it’s out of stock 🤦🏻♂️ Along with being a larger diameter, the titanium doesn’t absorb heat as fast as the stock aluminum one does. I have the PRL intercooler and charge pipe kit as well. It’s all really quality stuff. I have a catless DP On order. As soon as I get the DP I’m going with Ktuner (my preference). Nice ride and great videos man. I love seeing people so their own work I do my own work also.

The wear on the turbo can most likely be the anti lag and 2 step.

@@Uberlight2 if you sit and really think about how anti-lag systems work, it's not hard to see why it causes damage to a turbo.
You're basically causing the combustion to happen when the exhaust valves are open. All that heat and fuel is being burnt up inside the turbo to force it spool. Most turbos are not designed to handle that type of heat and pressure
I think if I bought this car I would keep the exhaust stock. I feel like the drone is too loud with these aftermarket exhaust but that's just me. I do like the grumbling of the downpipe and the bigger charge pipes

The turbo and intake sounds great but that exhaust needs help or your tune is not correct .. something is off for sure. But once it’s buttoned up and running right. I’m sure she sounds amazing and will run amazing✌️+❤️

I would get in the habit of disconnecting your battery before you start unplugging things. Especially on newer vehicles, your asking for issues if you accidentally short something even if you think it’s not hot, most sensors have a 12v constant that’s always hot

As long as its tuned accordingly. An engine is just a big air pump... air comes in and goes out. Thats it.
Turbo spool sounds nice but the exhaust isn’t very productive, a lost of power. Needs some back pressure
A turbo car does not need backpreasure - an NA engine needs exhaust scavenging but thats up to the header....after the header you dont need anything
