I am a teacher and my channel will show you how to metal detect for beginners all the way through advanced techniques for metal detectorists. I am the owner of a Minelab Safari Metal Detector, a Garrett AT Pro (at pro metal detector youtube), a WOT coil and I can teach you how to recover the deepest of targets with a metal detector. My metal detecting finds include many gold and platinum rings and early American coins as well as British Colonial coins and Spanish Colonial Coins. Metal detecting is a hobby that millions of people around the world do. All you need to try is a metal detector some batteries, a digging tool and some patience. My first metal detector cost 30 dollars at BJ's and I dug enough signals to buy my first "real" metal detector with the change that I found with the 30 dollar toy model. I decided to start Metal detecting on TH-cam because I feel the need to teach what I know. It has been a life changing activity for me and I want to share what I know. It is my hope that Metal Detecting NYC can become one of the biggest metal detecting youtube channels. My beach instructional videos include (or will include soon) , "metal detecting dry sand", (choosing a) "metal detecting sand scoop" and "surf hunting". On land, I use the website historic aerials to survey the history of a site so that I can continue metal detecting old homesites and other places with a lot of history. Merrill, you may have already tried this. I have a similar area as Dead Horse Bay here in Wheeling WV on the Ohio River where the old trash is washing out of the bank. I use my Equinox with the small 5" coil to snipe out the good signals. First I remove what surface metal I see, then I go over the area with the 5" coil. Works very well and I believe would be worth a try. Thanks for the entertaining videos and happy hunting. Stark

I don't understand why there was no wrap-up. I can see your main goal is silver and ice cream, but if I recall total clad was also in that equation. Don't be in such a rush to eat your prize. The way your going, filling your silver box should be a breeze. 200 days, there'll be more ice cream to come.

Man, I cant believe how amazing the target separation is on that Equinox. I just got an AT Pro and it cant do anything like that. Coins is really all I care about digging too, thinking I should a bought an EQ instead 🙄

If it's a public park which you have a permit for I would definitely be going back to hunt it some more. Maybe could've asked him for his ID and talked to his supervisor to see why he thinks he has the authority to kick you out of a public park when you're doing nothing wrong.

I LOVE cherry Garcia! I have to say though Haagen Dazs Cherry Vanilla is next level......it’s just so hard to find.....it’s like finding silver!

1. Don’t rub the silver coins!!! 2. PLEASE fill in your holes better! It doesn’t look good for the hobby when you leave a mess like that and then people have a bad image of detectorists, leading to more places getting shut down. Please don’t ruin the hobby for everyone else.
