How did you wire the auxiliary switch to start your car? I also have a push button start and am wanting to manual swap by Jetta. Or is there a fix to allow the push button start to work as it should.
I just isolated the starter 12v wire from the harness and ran it to a momentary switch with a relay and fuse. I think the reason my factory push button start disnt work was cus I couldn't do all the coding with my autel. Everything else worked. Cruise control and the gauge cluster even showed what gear you were in
Whats the reason of pin 5 going to the pin4 on brake light switch? Im currently trying to wire this thing correctly only difference i have is i don't have that wired to pin4. It doesn't wanna turn over at all. Is your car push to start ?
Yeah it is. I did tons of research but it seems alot of the info on the swaps ive found have a keyd ignition. I coded away with ease with an autel and still couldnt get it to start with the button. I gave up and ended up outting a trigger wire to a button on the inside. Still have to press the key button to power up the car then an aux push button to send power to the starter
@WhatTheDuckAuto if my post ever gets approved, we might find someone that knows how to fix it. I don't mind the button for now, but would be nice if it worked as it should.
@dzsuz1 absolutely. Was thinking the same. Not many people have done this swap as most just bought a manual or upgraded to audi or mk7 but i bought the car for 4,000 bucks and it was a dsg after 3 dsg failures i sourced a 02q. What clutch did you end up going with
This is really good though, you are the only person showing this that i could find
Instead of connecting to brake light switch, you can connect to fuse f22, its the same thing you just don't need to spilce that cable .
thank for confirm this...
hey!! great video!! thank you so much bro !!
No problem!!
If yall don't have the depin tool, just take a something you can grind down to the size needed.
When will you do the reverse light switch 😂
How did you connect your speed sensor from the Dsg connector

Got it thank you, so if I do all the coding with vcds (Volkswagen’s software) it should hopefully work, but if not that’ll be helpful
@mattkrahn9307 that's what I'm thinking. I followed a guy do his s3 on I here . And it was similar but different.

@WhatTheDuckAuto great, I had a feeling it's not going to simple as I thought lol was pin 4 just the power to the clutch position sensor?
@dzsuz1 i grounded it but its supposed to got to t52c/30 in the j519 connector under dash
@@WhatTheDuckAutodoes this work mk5 tsi
I'm installing the button lol if you are in mk6 owners group in you take a look 😂 it works 💪
I did the same thing bro. I coded everything right and couldnt get it to start with the factory push button

@WhatTheDuckAuto VW Performance Clutch Kit - Sachs Performance KIT-883082001422KT2 holds about 400 lb-ft, hopefully it's gonna be good. I'm apr stage 2 tuned.
Yea..after 2 dsg..I gave up as well.
@@WhatTheDuckAuto did you get around to wire the reverse light switch?
