      Rob I could try to master this piece, but even with a heroic effort I would not come close to what this gifted lady has achieved. Nothing wrong with gifts, you still need to work hard to bring them to fruition.

      pseudopetrus no such thing as gifts in music. As wrong as it may seem, you can get to this girls level if you do her practise regime for as long as she has. I would’ve agreed with you when I was only playing for a year, but as I progress, I feel myself get better than I ever thought.

Think about how many hours she has spent mastering her talent, how close she is to that music she is playing, and how you get to witness up close. The only thing better would be to be in the room sitting 5 feet from her, and the only thing better than that would to actually be her, playing the music.

      There are several very young pianists now with fantastic capabilities. I like this by MIss Poon but I saw also a versdion by Umi Garrett at 13 years ( the third movement of this Sonata) and I like it even more, the style of Umi is really amazing. YOu can watch the version on INternet.

      @@phantomaq My opinion is absolutely another. Tiffany Poon's play is full of emotions, yet clear and accurate. Umi Garrets simply plays quickly, but without emotions and clearness. There are hundreds such a pianist. After discovering Miss Poon's magic, I listened 20-30 others and became sure: Tiffany Poon IS THE BRIGHTEST STAR on the piano sky. Never, neither in the past nor in the present, could anybody shiver my back [with piano] as well, as her play.

    • @phantomaq
      @phantomaq 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PETRIK_Lajos I understand your point. But it is a question of preference, for you, Poon is better, but for me, Umi is better, there is nothing you can say that can make me change my mind. Even if you were an expert, you are not the owner of truth. I am sure many other people also prefer Umi. Tiffany is very good, but for many people, other players are better, and you can not change that. Every eprson has right to prefer other players, dont you think? For example, in your mind maybe TP is the best in the world or of all times, but most international experts say the best is Yuja Wang. For others, it is Valentina L. and for others, it is Lang Lang. Others say that Lang makes a lot of mistakes. It is personal preference. Maybe for many people Marilyn Monroe was the most beautiful actress, but for me, others like Jaqueline Bisset (in pictures of her at 25 years) or Jenniffer Connelly at 22 years, were much more beautiful. Just personal opinion. Every person has an opinion, and for me, Umi Garrett is the best, and something in her personality is more magnetic. I prefer her style. Also, Laetitia Hahn is great but I have not watched her to play this piece.

      @Kirishima No, it's not as hard as Chopin's Ballade no.1 in G minor, or his Winter Wind, or Liszt's La Campanella or his Hungarian Rhapsody no2. But Moonlight Sonata mvt 3, is still pretty difficult. So you can't really say "it's not that hard".
