I own a '99 Malibu.....the screw behind the handle is a star screw.

Thanks for the video - very helpful to see each step. I'm slow and removal and installation took me 20 minutes a side. The corner trim behind the mirror - the small retaining tabs broke when I pulled it off so a bit of gasket sealant held it back in place as I reassembled everything. Otherwise it was a piece of cake.

I have a 2003 Malibu base model and it does not have power windows. It has a handle to crank to roll the window up or down. how would I remove this or would it not be necessary to remove to take off the driver door panel? I'm trying to install new front speakers. Thanks for the Vid though!

I have a malibu that has roll up windows and they are really annoying and I want to switch them to power windows but I dont think I can do that tho.....

You may want to ask the dealer to see if the factory harness has a plug to plug the door harness right into it. You would also need different door panels, switches, window regulators ETC. If could get pretty involved. You might want to see if you can find the parts in a car in a salvage yard. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
