As a disabled person I get embarrassed by my home, it is presentable but a little messy, but I do struggle with a lot. Also struggle financially. Carpets etc. It’s 100 times better than the hoarders homes. I try my best, I still try and do what I can.
It’s completely different. Struggling but trying, is not being filthy because you’re lazy. I have a disability, but fortunately, it doesn’t affect my ability to get around, well…unless I’ve had a seizure, then it can be a bit difficult, but you understand my point. I’m sure you do just fine. 🌹
Please do keep in mind the comments are more roasting David for his shitty personality and how rude he is to Glen. Plus his total lack of self awareness. Disabled people who genuinely can’t do these things for themselves don’t have a choice and aren’t given enough support by society generally. I think it’s also just that a lot of people on the show like David don’t appreciate anything the cleaning people are doing for them and are totally ungrateful. If you’re humble and appreciative of people who help clean for you then I think people would look a lot more favourably towards you than someone like David.
Glenn is such a sweetheart he really tried to change David, but David is so stubborn and pretentious. You can see in the end how much Glenn was frustruated by his behaviour.

David considered bottling the throw up in a nifty container to sit as a memorabilia item from his show appearance but the camera crew fought hard to keep David from doing so, thus causing David to have another bruised rib.
15-room-hotel and so many books? David could turn one or two rooms into a proper library, with nice bookshelves that display all of his books. Each room could have a theme/topic - one for his African collections, next for his mannequins. He could be a collector, not a hoarder, if he'd be able to organize his belongings and keep it clean. Sadly, he'll probably never be able to acknowledge that all of his possessions will be in a horrendous state if he keeps storing them in this disorganized and filthy way. 😕
The people whose homes are cleaned very often say thank you! I don't know which episodes you've watched, but at least in the British ones, they nearly always express gratitude! Americans don't always, and often whine and cry afterward, not liking that they had to part with so many of their (vile, filthy, rodent feces covered) items. This is an old episode, around 10 or 11 years old---I remember seeing it several years ago, and it was old then---so very likely the dirty people have made their environments even worse, especially during 2020.
As a collector of many things myself I wanna scream at David. Proper collectors would never treat their stuff like he does. We make space for them, we clean them and we actually look after not stuff not just chuck it on the side, let it get ruined and have a go at anybody who dares question the mess. His books looked so unloved! His kitchen made me itch and his "collections" are just treated like it's junk.
Honestly this makes me feel so much better about my house. 😂 my house is deffo not as clean as the occ’s but it’s deffo no where near the hoarders lol. Clean and tidy is all that’s needed 😊
Zahra’s daughter seems like a really understanding and empathetic girl, she understands that her moms behavior isn’t normal. I hope Zahra have got help today❤
I am glad Zahra did not do Jo's bedroom. The adults can clean their own mess up. The youngest son's room cleaned and organized made him so happy. The boy's wanted their friends over to play. Before they could not. Now they can. Well done. I noticed the kitchen and bathroom weren't included in the cleaning. Probably for good reasons. I'm curious how Zahra could work in banking. She couldn't possibly handle money all day. Dollar bills and coins are filthy. Starting her own cleaning company was a good idea. Remember, showroom perfect will never be achieved. Most people do not live in showroom homes. Their homes are comfortable living spaces.
Hard to say but Jo is a complete disaster. Millions of mums in the world can keep up with housework and kids and dayjobs. She just seem extremely lazy and careless... I feel sorry for those two lovely boys they see things very clearly on their mum's behaviour.
Can we just appreciate how far Tuesday has come throughout this series? I used to roll my eyes into the back of my head with some of her reactions. I was genuinely proud for her, hopefully traveling helps her face her fears more.
Wish shed hug her mum, i think she kept hinting at it for a reason bless her. That woman is sadly deprived of warmth that comes from physical affection
David is still very deep in denial. I'm surprised he did allow so much to be done. He's just like every other hoarder I've seen in tons of videos. Being super annoying and rude towards the helping person with sarcastic comments and making excuses for not even trying. He doesn't seem to be so physically ill as to not being able to swipe a table or put a pan in the dishwasher. He will be back to the old situation in no time and even worse if he's not willing to accept his illness and do therapy
Considering that this episode is around ten or 11 years old, he's already been living this same way for at least a full decade again. He's narcissistic, and only his way will ever be good enough for him, no matter that he's a boneheaded filth-meister.
Wow, what a challenging environment for a cleanup! Seeing such extreme conditions tackled is always intriguing. It’s much like the deep cleans I manage. Though every situation is unique, the end goal of creating a healthier, cleaner space is the same. 😊
I feel like Glen really stayed strong which was very much needed with David. I will admit though, I am impressed that David hired a cleaner :) That's a great start to getting the whole house done and kept clean. Great job all in all for both cases!
The cleaners don't get paid for doing this; at least, not according to what I saw in an interview several years ago. They do it because they "get to" be on camera, and because they really do believe they can somehow help someone dirty change to being clean. These are all old episodes, too, no new ones having been made in at least 8 years, so David is probably either dead by now, or nearly buried in his vile hoard.
@@kittymeow90 a professional cleaner will clean .. they won't get rid of piles of junk so unless he gets rid of if himself no cleaner will go in and do what Glen did There there to clean x
Yep, I watch this and How Clean is Your House and Hoarders to get in the mood to clean. My late husband laughed at me watching these shows and talking about stuff they do and coming home with disinfectant wipes that I saw someone using. Later, he admitted he loved the disinfectant wipes. I keep some in every room to make cleaning up a mess quick.
True collectors look after their items-keep them clean, display them to appreciate them or store them appropriately to preserve their value. When I moved from a flat to a single room I didn’t have room for everything so I kept my collectibles in their original boxes (if they came with them) and stored them neatly in cupboards and the loft until I moved to a bigger place again to be able to display them. Even if you don’t have them on view you can stack things up neatly or store in plastic tubs to prevent damage from dust and damp. Burying apparently valuable pieces underneath endless clutter and dirt does not make you a collector, that’s hoarding. The antique fridge could not be appreciated as it was just left to rot. If things are truly precious you take care of them.
@@keeleyruane69 you thake it out of context. What does the other one learn from being obsessed about something like that? They both need to learn to let go a bit.
I simply love this show, so inspiring to see the cleaners live their lives up to such a clean standard yet relieving to see the messy people’s home lol
The people who clean excessively are actually diagnosed as OCC, at least here in the States. Britain might have a different way of diagnosing, but yes, OCD can include hoarding at different levels.
When she said “ready to go” I think the blond me lady was the breath of fresh air she needed. I love how the two lads worked together aswell the personalities together are class! Right off to clean as I now feel better about my life 😅
I am glad that David has a cleaner in to help him keep on top of things. I am amazed the amount of work that was done in a couple of days on both properties.
In almost 58 years of TV watching I've decided this is my favorite show of all time. I live in America and Hope the producers make more shows year after year!!!
This isn't a new episode at all---it's from 10 or 11 years ago. As far as I know, and I look for them all the time, there have been no new episodes or shows made of any kind of hoarding, or cleaning, or the combination, in at least 8 years.
Interesting video to watch. The single man living in the old B&B was fascinating to watch. He actually voiced that he had better things to do than clean his property. Yet he reported that his health has deteriorated. Hardly surprising given how he was living. None of us really enjoy cleaning but we enjoy living in a clean property. It's like stopping smoking - if you're not fully committed with stopping smoking then you'll never achieve this. The man clearly had a lot of valuable items. Why not part with some of these - sell them and enjoy a better quality of life and travel. Can't take things with you when you die. He clearly stated that he was not a hoarder and yet he had accumulated so much over the years. The family living in the cluttered house was frustrating to watch - she clearly didn't want to part with anything. The parents should ask the children if they wanted to keep items. I can assure you that they would say 'yes' or 'no' quicker than what the parents would. Children grow-up quickly and seldom have any use for the toys they once treasured. It's the parents who wanted to hold on to things. It's hard but sometimes the best approach is to discard and throw out most things and then start again.
David is delusional! He needs to snap out of it. He acts like a child. There is collecting and then there is Hoarding and like it or not if things are not organized then it's just a tip.

I really enjoy seeing each individual’s story. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Your honesty and bravery is beyond commendable! *Love, light and blessings on blessings to you and to ALL* 🤍✨
Collectors value their items and curate their collection to reflect what they are most passionate about. As an ex hoarder I used to keep things because I was emotionally attached to them regardless of value or if they reflected my current identity. I decided not to collect things anymore and try to only keep what I use. I don’t see Glen as a collector because he isn’t concerned about the condition of the items, just that they are in his possession, which is a sign of hoarding.
This episode is quite old---I watched it three years ago, and it was at least five years old then---but yeah, the slobs very likely went right back to slobbery. They don't change their attitudes just because a kindhearted person came in and cleaned up their filth for them, so 2020 was probably a "bit" overwhelming in those vile messes.

isabelle white never is a very negative thing to say, you don’t know him nor his future.. it may look that way at the moment but some people have moments where everything does click and their lives change, no matter how late. it’s a nice thought and we should hope that he lives a better life for himself. good energy could be the thing that helps him 😁 (also these were filmed years ago who knows the status of these people now)
@@aoki556 . You are right: neither of us knows him. But in this 40-min clip - in my opinion, he is passionate about hoarding which he calls 'collecting'. There was also very little acknowledgement that he could/should introduce a modicum of routine cleaning.
isabelle white your opinion is one thing, and you’re very entitled to it of course, but saying ‘never’ is acting like it’s a fact and I don’t vibe with that
Mom: Youre going to be just like me when you grow up
5 year old daughter: But I dont WANT TO BE A LUNATIC
That part killed me😂😂😂😂😂

Aww 😂 She was such an eloquent little lass though - so sweet!
I love that kid! But I'd rather have her as a mum than the scruffy lazy one
she is a icon isn't she xx
Hoarder: I raced cars, boats planes....
Glen: Right!
😂😂
You forgot law degree, archeologist circus ...b.s artist, knob jockey
Look at him…he’s never raced ANYWHERE! lol. What a wholly unattractive character he is.
Kkkkkkk
I was looking for this comment! 😂👏🏻 (And if I hadn’t found it, I would’ve commented it myself!) #zerofucks 🤣🤣
the length of his nails... oh my
I wonder why this David guy has even got involved in the programme because he really has no interest in sorting out his horrendous mess, he really doesn't want to change at all. I don't think I'd even bother with him to be honest.
Glen is a gem of a person may God bless him
Really Your Kidding FFS
I agree, love Glen.. he had a lot of patience to deal with David's attitude and fifthy pigsty.. Glen is an absolute gem 💎
Does anyone else find it enormously sad that Lesley has made her daughter into her OCD-buddy? She clearly loves the attention, and it's so upsetting to see Tuesday shutting down in the bar when Lesley is sniping at her about never hugging- she calls her own daughter "that"! So sad...
Yes ! I think it's child abuse, it's meant to be a home .can't sit on the darn lounge.
I honestly have to skip every time I see them. It's too upsetting to see what she's done to Tuesday
Ocd buddy 😂
It has been a long time. I hope Tuesday left and found life without her mother‘s anxiety as background noise.
As a disabled person I get embarrassed by my home, it is presentable but a little messy, but I do struggle with a lot. Also struggle financially. Carpets etc. It’s 100 times better than the hoarders homes. I try my best, I still try and do what I can.
Hey don’t worry and certainly don’t be embarrassed you are doing your best, these people don’t even try.
Are you on disability with the Social Security? You can get a caregiver to come help. My husband had SS and he qualified for a caregiver. Good luck 🍀
Vast difference between being disabled and lazy!
British people are so polite yet so blunt at the same time.
It’s a gift lol.
Hey! you’re confusing the English with the French who say it exactly how it is and often not politely while the English are stiff upper lipped and don’t let you into what they’re really thinking often not complaining when they should and putting up with a whole load of what they shouldn’t!!!
@@carolynaitken7632 I beg to differ. Unlike the OCD people in this video, we would never say things like "bloody hell your house is FILTHY", rather "I'm so sorry for you to live here..."
@@mariejacquelin9837 well that’s your prerogative.

Omg! That husband asked the cleaning lady where he should put his own stuff. Lmao.... Its your house Its your stuff dude! She has never even been to your home before this show. She is not your replacement wife. Oh man... That moment had me rolling.
The parents behaved like overgrown kids hahaha tats y thy couldn't keep thier house clean
If he has 15 rooms, he could decorate them thematically.
True, but he'd have to get off his fat lazy arse to do that!!!!!😮😮😲
it‘s a wonder he finds the time to put trousers on honestly
David may not be in great health but he's also bone idle, Those fridges finished me, even the removal guy threw up.
What does bone idle mean?
@@3skin556 lazy
@@3skin556 it’s an old English term. Not used as much these days, unfortunately.
David considered bottling the throw up in a nifty container to sit as a memorabilia item from his show appearance but the camera crew fought hard to keep David from doing so, thus causing David to have another bruised rib.
With this show, I'm learning to eat my dinner before viewing. David's fridge had me throwing my rockmelon in the bin, bugger it.
Tbh I think David is a compulsive liar. I don't believe he really did all those things he claims he did.
He could have had his "experiences" online...... 😅
Glen did an outstanding job. It was impossible to clean all those clutter.
Omg first time ever in this show a cleaner got flowers and presents for free cleaning. Also they said thank you which is very rare in this show.
I loved Jo and Zarah, Jo didn’t make excuses she just got on with it and was very thankful to Zarah which you don’t see in a lot of other episodes
Hoarding makes my skin crawl!
Both ends of the spectrum of cleanliness are mentally ill but I know who I'd rather be or live with.
"I don't wanna be a lunatic"🤣
That precious girl gave me life with her comments! 🤣🤣🤣
Bless her little heart haha 😊

So cute and hilarious she is lol

Honestly this makes me feel so much better about my house. 😂 my house is deffo not as clean as the occ’s but it’s deffo no where near the hoarders lol. Clean and tidy is all that’s needed 😊
I loved the daughter "I don't want to be a lunatic".....priceless, out of the mouths of kids.
she's such a joker isn't she xx ill tell her u love her iconic moments xxx
Kids can be brutally honest sometimes LOL
Zahra’s daughter seems like a really understanding and empathetic girl, she understands that her moms behavior isn’t normal. I hope Zahra have got help today❤
I am very clean and neat but I love cooking! I find it so sad he cannot enjoy a beautiful, healthy meal :(
What an intelligent little girl.
Poor Glen !! That would of been immensely overwhelming
@@Katyus14 precisely, I felt for the boys - they are too lovely.
I absolutely lost it with the daughter. "I'm definitely not turning into you. I don't want to be a lunatic!"

I have never heard of "buffles," but it IS baffling, yes.
Okay I'm a messy person, and I'm not even ashamed of it anymore. BUT when he said that I felt a little bit of shame for a minute. :D
I’m so glad the group was able to enjoy a drink in the pub. Good on all of you! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Obsessed with Glenn’s honesty! More like him please
the real man here is the cameras man. respect
@@jb6712 filth meister!! 🤣
It said at the end of the show that he now has a cleaner.
The writers make those ones up (I worked at tv), it’s a standard format for reality shows.
Wow, what a challenging environment for a cleanup! Seeing such extreme conditions tackled is always intriguing. It’s much like the deep cleans I manage. Though every situation is unique, the end goal of creating a healthier, cleaner space is the same. 😊
I definitely don’t like David and his condescending way ,
At least he could try .
Arrogant git
So much anger in his tone of voice
And then when his friend came over he was somewhat nice to Glen
There's a lot of shame in Davids actions and words, I feel like.
The regular 'cleaners' have come such a long way, I'm so proud of them!
@@jb6712 You misunderstood, David hired a professional cleaner after Glen left.
@@kittymeow90 a professional cleaner will clean .. they won't get rid of piles of junk so unless he gets rid of if himself no cleaner will go in and do what Glen did

Feeling an overwhelming urge to go clean something 🤣
The exact reason I watch these. Love cleaning just use these as motivation. 🤣🤣
Me too
Yep, I watch this and How Clean is Your House and Hoarders to get in the mood to clean. My late husband laughed at me watching these shows and talking about stuff they do and coming home with disinfectant wipes that I saw someone using. Later, he admitted he loved the disinfectant wipes. I keep some in every room to make cleaning up a mess quick.
I feel an overwhelming urge to go into these houses and mess shit up 😁
Exactly! We all keep stuff we don’t need. Why is that? Purge it all 👍
David: “I don’t want to get into armchair psychiatry”
Me: “oh you don’t have a degree in that too?”
No one here to hear my zingers
im here to listen to ur zingers sonia
It was a great zinger. Keep them coming, lovey.
David's impressing no one with his bs..dont believe a word David says
So this guy David supposedly wants help but he is actually not willing to change a single thing of all that mess. Excuses over excuses over excuses...
You don't need to have OCD or be obsessed with cleaning to understand how these people live is disgusting.
I think its so they can learn from each other ☺️
well thats not the point
@@laurahoogsteden6542 and what exactly could Glenn learn from someone who keeps rotting bacon in a soiled 1950s fridge?
@@keeleyruane69 you thake it out of context. What does the other one learn from being obsessed about something like that? They both need to learn to let go a bit.
David will not keep up with keeping it clean. It will be back to what it was soon.
I think I smelled that deep freeze through my phone because I was gagging too. 😢
I actually held my nose when they opened that chest freezer 😆😂🙃😝
Why would they even open it?!?!?!
I did the same
Haha 😂
I think David is really proud of his place now, despite not really wanting anything to change.
Due to his own lack of self-esteem, it was very hard for David to have the appropriate level of respect for David--or humility, for that matter.
I simply love this show, so inspiring to see the cleaners live their lives up to such a clean standard yet relieving to see the messy people’s home lol
The funny thing is Ocd can also manifest itself as Hoarding right?
Yes it can
And if you have ocd and adhd...its pretty messed up
The people who clean excessively are actually diagnosed as OCC, at least here in the States. Britain might have a different way of diagnosing, but yes, OCD can include hoarding at different levels.
Obsessive Compulsive Hoarding and Obsessive Compulsive Cleaning are under the category of OCD. But one person can’t be both at the same time.
Zara's daughter read her 😂 'I don't want to be a lunatic' You are like a robot' my goodness. I love her. 😂
only one person and only four days , impossible to clean these type of filthy houses
When she said “ready to go” I think the blond me lady was the breath of fresh air she needed.
I love how the two lads worked together aswell the personalities together are class!
Right off to clean as I now feel better about my life 😅
I sorry but the woman's daughter is literally so cute sassy
This mother-daughter relationship needs a great push. I believe the OCD is merely a symptom.
push? maybe u just need a bath
No, it's a disorder
Tuesday and Lesley are the BEST!!! I struggle with so many of the same fears and you two keep me laughing!! You are both absolutely wonderful 🥰
All of the participants are great! I really enjoy seeing each individual’s story.
Thank you for sharing your lives with us. Your honesty and bravery is beyond commendable!
*Love, light and blessings on blessings to you and to ALL* 🤍✨
I love the combo of OCD cleaners assisting hoaders. It's therapeutic at least for me. 😊
Maybe the difference between collecting and hoarding is organization and neat displays of your collection?
I would say it is that collectors mostly keep stuff that actually makes has some value.
I would say that an hour cleaning every day is enough...I mean, living in a tidy and clean house makes all the difference
Thats it! Give Zarahs daughter a medal. Very smart young lady. 😆
It is so discouraging when you are trying to help and the other person does not want you to throw anything away...
I can only imagine how these people have been during COVID-19 😂
Happy because people actually started washing hands and wearin masks
Yep, thought that right away! Nine bottle of bleach to clean.
Hayley has a youtube channel, "Hayley's Help."
This episode is quite old---I watched it three years ago, and it was at least five years old then---but yeah, the slobs very likely went right back to slobbery. They don't change their attitudes just because a kindhearted person came in and cleaned up their filth for them, so 2020 was probably a "bit" overwhelming in those vile messes.
woulda been the safest people to be around in a pandemic
Leslie might be a bit nuts but she is adorable 😆💖 that sip from the sparkly wine for the first time in years warmed my heart!
