This Engwe M20 review dives deep into the truth about this electric bike and what you can actually expect in terms of range, top speed, acceleration, hill climbing, and brakes. The Engwe M20 is a solid performer with an emphasis on style. The dual headlights give the Engwe M20 a unique look. The short seat has pros and cons, but full suspension on this moped style electric bike is always welcomed. Engwe M20 dual battery ebike is an option, but not required. It appears easy to modify the controller on this ebike to get more speed compared to other modes ebikes.

I just saw some other review of this bike today earlier. I mentioned how lackluster the 20 amp controller provided power. But I can see how if a person really liked this bikes looks that it does have potential. Switch out that rear tire and motor for a 1,500 to 3,000 watt motor and get the 40-50 amp controller. That frame space has plenty of room for a nice 60 or 72 V battery .. Brakes to hydraulic is an easy upgrade too. You would think full twist would be easier to modulate power ..

Buy a new bike then replace all the main components with other new parts that may or may not work together properly at considerable expense and labor to make it into a bike worth owning. Sounds like a plan.

Not a big fan of moped style electric bikes. I must admit that the Engwe M20 price is attractively nice. Only $1.6k and got massive 1,248 watt hours capacity can’t beat that. I like the HAOQI Cheetah step-over bike better but that costs a bit more at $2k.

Are laws in California different when cross an intersection with a bike? I was taught in school to get off the bike at the intersection, walk with it across the street, then get back on it to continue my riding when the conditions permit it. You walk with it in case a car comes at you. You can get out of the way faster on foot than if you were still on the bike.

No. Range anxiety does not come from the variable bike range, it comes from the fact that there are too few places that you can recharge quickly, and none if you are off-roading. 6 hours for a full recharge? Perhaps double that if you have to charge each battery separately. The same anxiety applies to all EV's including cars.
