      That climb damaged the motor. I tried some climbs with my 750w Bafang motor and it stopped working. Took 15 minutes for it to cool down so it would work again. And it worked normally without any noise.
      I bet had you kept the 100 mile challenge to relatively flat ground it would have accomplished the 100 miles.
      But you cheated by charging.

We'll be riding to Downtown LA from where we live this coming weekend and should be no problem with these bikes as its only 23 miles from where we live. I watch a lot of your reviews because I still don't know which one to buy. The Himiway cruiser is still my most desirable preference because it works better on more rural unpaved paths where there are hills, that is also my criticism of your reviews, test less asphalt and more rough terrain, because that is where the fat bikes are most suitable for.

    1:00 I had to replace my tires after 100 miles, too many flats. Bought quality pair $150 road tires, world of difference. Even though they weight more there is less friction which allows reaching higher speeds easier. Seating was issue on front tire as well, but I pounded on tire with my hand as I pumped it up and 3rd time it finally seated properly. Also new tires go up to 30psi which helps cornering.

    Hi and greetings from Canada. Great reviews. That's amazing that you got that mileage! I just got my first ebike this weekend and went for my first real ride today. Just so much fun. I wanted a moped style. A bike seat kills me so I needed that banana seat comfort at my age. I wasn't looking for distance just for weekend fun to hit the trails or whatever. I really wanted a Grizzly after watching reviews but they aren't available here. I ended up just by luck finding a great substitute made by a guy named Maor, called a ROBOCYCLE. Unfortunately there are no reviews yet for it because it's such a small company. He's the nicest guy and has built a beast that has dual motors and is amazingly comfortable. I promise if you reach out to him he'd love to get you on one of his bikes. He's designed a beast for the price. The one I got was the newest one, it's blacked out, and I got a ton of compliments on it. I hope you get in contact with him and get the chance to to review the bike I own. Would love to hear what a professional rider thinks. Stay safe and happy travels.

    • @arischreiber2213
      @arischreiber2213 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@justinreinsma9772 Yeah I have the 3 and it's awesome. Battery life is like most bikes. It depends on terrain, rider weight, using pedal assistance, full throttling, using both motors, temperature, etc. On average I ride it pretty hard and like to get up to speed fast so I eat up the battery more than if was trying to save it and I don't pedal a lot. I'd say I'd get about 50kms +/- range but I've never ridden it to dead batteries. That's good for a heavy bike and plenty of distance if you're using it for fun. My commute is 16kms one way and mostly flat. Using just the small battery at full throttle and rear motor only, except for taking off at green lights, I will have like 45% battery left when I arrive.

      @arischreiber2213 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justinreinsma9772 The range is good but this ebike is really about the smile it'll put on your face. The way it takes off and shocking traffic at every light is worth the price of admission 100%. It never gets old gapping cars and waving bye as you vanish in the bike lane when they hit traffic. Not to mention the way it climbs hills and holds speed with two motors makes it a game changer. It's literally too powerful sometimes to use the AWD because the front tire will spin out if you're not moving and ready for it. I've learned a technique to get the best launch and not waste the battery doing burnouts. Anyone you know who has an ebike will be blown away at the torque and build quality is top notch. The owners name is Maor. Tell him I sent you and he'll hook you up. I look forward to hearing your thoughts after you get it. If you're in the GTA we can go Out Fer A Rip Bud!

    Curious if you have any reservations about battery storage and fire safety? Are there bikes that have been UL approved? Do you take any special precautions when storing?

      @@dpporlando There might be someone or some association keeping track, but luck and persistence are going to be needed, it's still very much the wild wild west, when it comes to discovering the best sources of information out there, I think however this brand might be getting UL approved battery's, but another consideration I've heard is, your safer with name brand components like LG or Samsung, but this is feature I've not focused too much on frankly, I just now noticed it's yet another concern along with the qualify of who is behind the suspension components, and the quality of the seat, I think this brand with a lot of positive reviews on TH-cam is going to offer UL approved batterys,: Aniioki

    I'm waiting for one of these 60Ah models that's UL approved and is willing to reveal which company manufactured the battery cells.
    I am a little surprised that there aren't any Japanese manufacturers in the lower-priced end of the market. I have a Japanese car with 80 pounds of Lithium batteries, and they never catch fire. Japanese mfrs have solid quality control.
    But ... I don't want to wait forever.

I'm looking into a "lightweight" ebike with 2+ inch tire that has that feature. That is assuming the lightweight (under 45lbs) bike are going to be class 1's.
