    The Wired Freedom Ebike has a UNRIVALED 60V battery and 40A controller pumping over 2400W of peak output to its geared hub motor. Most other ebikes offer 48v or maybe 52v for comparison, 60V is an absolute game changer. 60V is what comes on the Sur Ron. And for just $2200, this electric bike is one of the fastest and most powerful ebikes I've experienced for the money. The best part is this one "looks like an ebike" instead of an electric motorcycle, so even though it exceeds class 3 electric bike limits in most areas, it doesn't look any different then your typical fat tire ebike.

I want to apologize because I ordered one of these bikes couple weeks ago waiting for it to come in August but I did not go through your link because I was with the owner Steve and I got a military discount on top of it but when I do go to pick this bike up, I will mention all the info about you so you get credit for this ! I have 7 electric bikes from the FLX blade which is pretty quick and a couple from Rambo , IZIP and so on ! I have family out in Torrance and I do bike up to Venice now and then when I’m out there The similarities of biking on the lakefront in Chicago and LA are almost the same. lotta fun so thank you and take care. Mine was delivered this week. Just got it assembled Sunday afternoon and took it for a short ride before dark. It's not lacking for power at all. As a matter of fact, I'm going to detune it in the controller to make it a more mild mannered long distance cruiser. But a few button clicks will unleash it's full potential if you're so inclined! FYI- mine was delivered with a Samsung battery instead of an LG.

    • @bobbyennis

      Mine is bottoming out somewhere and cause the tire to rub. It's not rubbing on the controller. Must be rubbing somewhere on fender. Hopefully, I'll figure it out. Is yours rubbing anywhere on big bumps.

      You could just be hitting the limits of travel, try tightening the spring. You need to hold the top while twisting the bottom. Some people may have racks that are bent slightly causing the screw that holds the rear fender to contact the tire.

    People are going to be happy with the upgrades Wired introduced in this latest shipment. New frame Geometry creating much more travel with no chance of rubbing the controller! An 11 cog in the rear and a better derailleur, a new fender that is firmly attached to the rack and doesn’t flap around. Wired has upgraded the bike with each batch they bring in and now it’s just about perfect. Anyone waiting for October or November orders are going to be freakin psyched!! You've put 300 miles on it. You're the perfect person to ask this then (if you don't mind). Okay, I just ordered one of these and Matt was wondering how long it can keep giving him 2000w for. I'm curious, if you're commuting and going at a constant speed, what can I expect? If I tried to go 35mph for 30 minutes would it cut out on me before that and overheat? 30mph? The "continuous" rating is actually not much more than the bike I already have (750w vs 1000w for this one).

    As an electrician who installs generators, battery back systems, etc. for homes...I can tell you that LG batteries are not all they are cracked up to be. I have seen three battery systems fail in the last year alone, all LG, and all were given an unknown date of when the battery would be available to replace the defective unit. One of these clients actually had me remove the batteries and install a standby NG generator in its place. This was a $20K system they essentially threw away. @@rentvestingthe stickers are layered, with class 3 underneath, you are technically supposed to remove the class 2 sticker to reveal the class 3 once unlocked, obviously no one would intentionally give themselves away to an officer, if it's capable of over 20 mph many bike lanes and trails restrict what can be ridden on them leaving you subject to getting harassed by law enforcement, most law enforcement may know of the class system but likely won't have inside knowledge of the user interface or how to check to see if it's been unlocked or not, leaving many to rely on information provided by the sticker 😉

    Nice bike, ground breaking in many ways. @$2K for preorder, it would be worth ordering one, if I didn't just buy a commuter bike. I'd love to see this bike in a commuter configuration with 27.5 wheels and all season road tires on it, in a step thru. Looks like the priority was the battery pack (very expensive) and the controller, and motor. The motor with this 7 speed setup can take you faster than you can keep up in gear ratios with your legs, unless they put a bigger cassette on it with more speeds. The controller will need to be external because of the heat it generates; I've seen other bikes like that too; big AMPs == big HEAT. The motor is off brand but obviously works very well. it's solid state, I would not expect to have problems with it. If anything; the battery will be very expensive to replace; and the controller may have overheating / reliability problems over time. I like the weight; it's only 10 pounds heavier than many commuter bikes in the same price range.

      I rode one that came with a shunt mod and it was scary, the regular is powerful enough for me. Plenty of videos on soldering shunts on TH-cam but you might fry the controller.

    As a senior w/ joint pain my fat tires are a blessing. My scooter makes my joints hurt bad.
    Love this channel ❤️ these e-bikes never give proper information. There are things on my bike I know nothing about. Like the gears on the handle bars. The buttons on the top of the suspension. I have a SMLRO XDC 600 please explain if possible. Thanks 😊

    Love your videos ...really great stuff, so thank you!
    Quick question, if you don't mind...
    Does the bike have speed limits for each PAS level (some bikes, with their "smart" cadence sensors and controllers now do this, and I think it's ludicrous).
    In other words, can you utilize PAS 1 or 2 even at higher speeds if you so choose? I sure hope so!

    • @TailHappyTV
      @TailHappyTV  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You know, man, I think I actually overlooked this in my initial ride. I don’t think I even bother to check if the pedal assist worked beyond certain speeds, because I’m so used to them having cut off points in a certain miles per hour like you’re mentioning. My guess would be this is how the cadence sensor on this bike works, but I actually don’t know that for sure. I will ride the bike again and make another video with this one soon. I’ll make sure to include that.

    • @OpenmindedHusker1
      @OpenmindedHusker1 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@TailHappyTV Thank you sir. My hope is that the bike allows the rider to utilize whatever level of pedal assist he or she desires, regardless of the speed the bike is traveling at.
      I think that's the only set up that actually makes sense.

      @@OpenmindedHusker1 I agree, the menus and settings on that bike is like really advanced so I have high hopes. Most importantly, the bike felt super natural when riding in its stock form, which I cannot say is true for some of the bikes I review.

    • @jfly2249
      @jfly2249 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The PAS just give you a flat wattage for each of the 5 levels so yes, you can use them at any speed. There are 3 levels of adjustment for the power assist to dial it in to where you want it. With c14=1, I get 120 watts on PAS 1, 300watts on PAS2, and about 600 watts on PAS3. Works much better than the mph based cadence sensors. Fully programmable and you can even have the mph based assist if you choose.

      In my mind there really isn't a benefit to skinny tires on an ebike. Typically you want skinny tires because they have less rolling resistance and are easier to pedal. Because the ebike does most of the work you only benefit from bigger tires

    Just some advice. I have that same controller and display. I ramped up my power output to the max and I have almost ruined my battery and the connector on the bike. I live in South Tucson and the hot climate doesn't agree with the battery output at those amps. It took about 2 months of use to, basically, cook the connectors and now they fail to make contact. I would keep the power output at no more than like 85% next time.. this is why I am actually researching other ebikes. A new battery is $500 and Rad wont sell me new battery connections. I know yours isn't a Rad bike but that power controller is the one I upgraded to. Just some advice to keep in the back of your mind.
