I love my MK2 Supra witch came with wide fenders from factory and you can easily fit 10 inch wide wheels easily without breaking the sweat.

I've been toying with the idea of getting g into the car scene. I wasnt to sure what I wanted, but I have been looking at the 350z as a cheap way of getting in. Watching this video solidifies my choice, those things look so sick
Step 1: get the car
Step 2: Cut up fenders
Step 3: realize that you fucked up
Step 4: sell car
Step 6: get your buddy to help cut up the fenders
Step 7: pay off the car so your bank doesn’t own it
step 1b: buy a lemon for your project car so you dont feel bad, plus since itll always be a work in progress, being a lemon wont sour your opinion on a new car model or badge

26, and I’m right there with you, except it was the EVO VIII for me. I own a Scion FR-S and I’m determined to wide body it. Just one word of advice…learn to budget (if you haven’t already). Trust me, getting into this hobby is going to be one heck of a money pit. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and reach out to forums if you need help. Good luck on your journey, Hunter! 👍
@@metallicaspiker16 Thank you for the advice! I've definitely been putting a fair amount of research into going about this, and you're not wrong, budgeting will be important. I started saving real early on, and I gotta be honest, almost 100% of what I've made at both of my part time jobs is in the savings account for all the big ticket things. It'll be a process for sure, but with how awesome the car community is, can there really be a downside?
@@metallicaspiker16 THIS. Remember, just because you have enough money for something at the moment doesn't mean you can afford it. The best way to maintain financial success is to live below your means.
If you make 500 bucks a week, don't think you can afford 500 bucks a week. Think more along the lines of 300 a week. Leave yourself room for savings and always have a chunk of "Oh S#%T money" in case something happens to your pride and joy.
Nothing sucks more than having no money to fix something that broke, and having to let your car shit undriveable for a while.
I did that with my first car. Spent everything on it and then when I broke an axle, a strut, and 2 wheels sliding into a curb, I had to let the car sit for months while I saved up money to fix it..

@@Malficion I mean it doesn't really matter what my parents are making (300k or not) considering it'll be my money going into the project. This is something I have a passion for, so budgeting for it and starting now is gonna be worth it in the end.

same as usual but more room so less rub. ride quality changes if you touch the camber or tire size not the fenders. i need fenders to get rid of my negative camber
I wide bodied my 2017 Mustang and haven’t looked back, it has its pros and cons definitely that you can’t go back once it’s done but I like it. Just bought a 240sx and already ordered my rocket bunny kit for it too 😁
I know this is old but I am thinking of wide bodying my mustang and wanted to know if you did yours yourself. If so how is it cutting into that heat treated metal on the mustang? I am looking at the "Dusk" kit by Robot Craftsman btw.
@@tehtehkhantengames8580 I had someone help me out with it, once you cut into it there isn’t really any going back. I would say if you’re comfortable with it go for it, if not I would definitely recommend having someone experienced do it just so you can fully seal everything and not have any issues.
When I did it my wheel was rubbing with the fender really bad so I had to do it again. Make sure you measure everything correctly, have the right tools, and don’t rush it 👍 there’s a lot of good videos that show the process if you wanna try taking it on too :)
I've got a Nissan 300Z with a twin Z design wide body. I love the hell out of this car. I have zero intentions of selling it. It's mine forever. Muahahaha! Not to mention that seeing a wide body 300ZX is quite rare.

@@melbournetaylor4265 they aren't too wide really. Should have got a little bit of flared out hips in the back. But they aren't terribly wide. Corvettes are wider than them. Hell if I recall correctly even challenges and chargers are either just as wide or wider. Actually I believe challengers are wider.

Nice vid. I have built and installed some custom over fenders for my car. It’s a 96 3000GT. Kit was made for a G37 originally but modified it to fit mine. Definitely agree. Wide body anything usually makes a car look good if done right. 👍🏼😊

Easy choice. The D-Max full wide body kit for the Silvia S13. It was the reason I imported a S13 stateside after driving one in Osaka.
I've considered it for my '16 Golf. There are some DAMN nice kits for 'em... for a damn high price.

I did My 350z w Veilside VER.III aka the "Dk" kit. Tbh installing that yourself is not for the faint hearted. If this is you, your gonna be at this for months. I suggest sorting out the wheels first. Mr. Dremel is your friend. The worst part is the fuel port, I ended up moving the hinge to the opposite side so I could have the crevice seamless. Second hardest part is making the front bumper and the front arches fit, you're gonna have to use all the patience you can push yourself to have. Like I said, months, if you have clumsy friends, don't let them help you. I did mine alone

I widebody my 2005 Hyundai Tiburon Turbo V6 2.7L project. It was not bad but I need cut some my fender off bit more because I couldn't get more lower with 10.5 inche wheels.
Im trying to figure out a good wide body solution for my 2g eclipse. Dont see many on the road let alone wide bodied. Plus i got some bags im planning to put on it. We’ll see how it goes lol. Supposedly 350z kits can fit eclipses with little modification to the over fenders...at least thats what im told lol 😂 we know how that goes..

Rocket bunny has a Pandem kit for the MK7 GTI that looks solid. But adding the right wheels gets a bit pricey. I refuse to use 4in spacers. I think my next car is going to be a factory wide body dodge. It completely changes the look and gets real tires.

I think the biggest this stopping me is the paint... I have a pearl OEM paint and I would need to paint what I sanded in addition to what I added, and its a pretty penny... besides that I'd love to pull the trigger

Putting GT-3 widebody kits on supercars (specifically the Huracan & 488) has always been something I’d love to do if I had a spare million dollars or two lying around...

I am thinking about buying a jdm car I really want to buy a frs or brz or 86 should I?
If you’re gonna work on it sure why not, but if you want to have a car that’s different from the millions of people with the trio car, go for something else. I was going to go with a 1987 rx7, but I got a better deal on an 2011 Accord with 58k miles on it when I first got it. It has a k series engine which is probably the best engine overall, it has a good amount of power, gas will last, and the engine won’t break. It had 177hp stock now I got it pushing a little over 200. I’ve been wanting to widebody it, just can’t find any. I never planned on a widebody, but I saw couple pictures of some and they look aggressive af, especially 8th gens because they’re the biggest cars of all the accords. I went with an accord in the long run because it’ll last me and I can struggle less compared to an rx7 because idk how to build and maintain a rotary so i would be spending a lot of money for someone else to do it. Brz/frs/86 are nice sports cars, but keep in mind they do have problems. I have a friend who owns oneand he has lot of head gasket issues and he doesnt even drive it everyday. If it’s a car you’re gonna be driving everyday, I say go ahead if you can maintain it and fix any issues you have if they appear. If you’re not sure you can do that, there’s a bunch of jdm options that are better and more worthwhile for your money, compared to those three. If you really want a jdm car with power there’s always the 350/g35 for the cheaper option. The new type-r and civic si are always good options but usually a little more pricey than the 350z. On the more expensive side, you can opt for the turbo variant of the 86/brz or the 400z coming. Though cars with a lot of power tend to have problems that show up later if you don’t maintain them well, which is why I actually got the accord because it’ll last and I can always build up the power overtime.
So, how long do I have to leave a cut up 350z in my front yard until I get that Instagram clout?
