So I’m gonna have to say this. Having worked on a Porsche race team, I learned stainless steel brake lines are totally unnecessary. What people need are brake flushes and then they think it’s the stainless steel lines. We did endurance racing with rubber brake lines and had zero failures on them. Often the stainless lines can bind and fray over time if not installed correctly.

2 underrated modifications if you have a Turbo engine are oil catch cans and blow off valves. Catch cans will prevent your engine from getting gummed up and losing the horsepower that it already has. Upgraded blow off valves will prevent your Turbo from getting surge and destroying itself. I never see mention of them in your videos I'm guessing because fitment doesn't sell them. 😉 They are important beginner level modifications that will help protect your engine and future upgrades.

Final drive ratio changing, swapping your differential gears to a higher ratio means higher acceleration at the cost of top speed, thing is unless you're doing max speed pulls or go on a track with significant straight aways you'll never actually reasonably hit your max speed so it's basically no trade-off for higher acceleration assuming your tires can get a grip.

Alternatively, some cars come with a solid acceleration focused ratio, but end up with their top gear still way too accel oriented.
3k rpm to do 70mph is just miserable. If you’re lucky, it’s possible to get a top gear reduction swap. (Evo 5 speeds have this, you can get just the 5th gear swapped.)

One thing that I have learned that people do over look when that mod their performance with like a full exhaust, exhaust headers, cold air, and/or intake manifold is that it needs to be retuned. Can't just slap all that on and expect the car to perform better. Gotta tune the car to adjust the new hp out put otherwise your not increasing hp at all

An LSD is a really upgrade useful in a winter car. You want that torque to the wheel with the most grip. Not limited to snow duty, an LSD also helps a lot in a German or southern Scandinavian rain fest/mud bath.

Love the runescape references, I've played since I was 12 and I'm now getting ready to turn 26 (rs2->osrs). Also getting ready to redo the interior of my FD after I finish this custom roll cage. Using a big roll of universal carpet to keep the cost down vs oem replacement.

    Aluminum driveshaft
    Differential gears
    Slotted rotors/ceramic pads upgrade
Lighting. For $10 u can change all interior bulbs to any color.even have enough bulbs left for tag lights and reverse light.
    Oil catch can
    Throttle body upgrade
    Plenum spacer
    High flow cats/test pipes
Upgrading ground wires to thicker wires.
If u can’t afford suspension look for grease points and refill suspension points with grease
To get more comfort and reliability of overall performance..
    Etc...
literally every angle of the car u look at there’s
Something you can do without money that’s benefiting your visual appearance
Or the driveability or performance of your car..

Engine mounts stopped my 3rd gear grind. The old ones looked better than half-life. That was in an NB Miata. Engine mounts also helped the already phenomenal cornering, too. Very noticeable and the old mounts were hardly worn out and replaced with OEM mounts.

    if i'm racing a car Top 3...
#1 Tires - nothing better than more grip
#2 Weight (this could be adding weight or taking weight but mostly getting the weight bias right for what you're doing - also the height of the weight plays a even bigger role in transfer)
#3 Diffs ( if you have adjustable diff (even more so on AWD) you can fine-tune how the power is being moved to fit your needs)
if I'm diving on public roads Top 3...
    #1 Tires
    #2 Brakes
    #3 Head/brakes lights
(everything that prevents you from hitting or being hit)

LSD is underrated if your car is 'one wheel drive'. When I put mine in, it felt like my car was literally digging itself out the corners and feels much more planted. It's like 'twice the car' because it is. You'll just have to deal with the clunking in the clunking in tight parking lots.
edit: I wrote the comment before watching the video and the first one mentioned was LSD hahahaha
