Good job, you don't need to remove the motor to that service. Also you forgot to check/service the metal axle at the end of the brush roll. A lot of jambs happen there.
You’re right! Thanks for sharing those tips!
Just about to mention the spindle clean, same thing happened to mine. Great video thank you
@@parwaz7861question did what you said but it's jamming and the belt isn't spinning.
This is one of the best 5 minute how to videos ever. No nonsense, just get to it and do this... Awesome.
Great vid, fixed mine! Small warning, WD-40 is *not* a lubricant, do not use it here! Rather it is a solvent, meaning it will dissolve any dirt, but will also dissolve the existing lubricant!
Love it. No nonsense and straight to the point. My kiddo and I will work on this tonight. TY!
Thanks a million! Saved me buying a new Dyson. Managed to fix both of mine with the same issue. Always thought it was the battery!
You are an absolute star! Almost bought a new hoover as I could not get my Dyson V6 to work. Thanks to your video I managed to follow and mine now works!! Thank you!
Woohoo!!! I’m glad you found it helpful and informative, well done on successfully repairing your Dyson! 😁✌🏽
Tried everything and nothing worked, until I found your video! Thanks so much! Very easy fix and didn't cost a thing!
You're welcome!
Parwaz, thanks kindly for this very clear clip. It is extremely helpful.
You are most welcome
You just help me fix a 6 years old V6 and save 75€ for a new brush. Just spent 10€ on screwdrivers.
No hairs stucked on my case, i just blew some WD40 grease on the inside the spin under the shaft and now it's working!
The best directions to keep my dyson running! Easy to follow and simple to do!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! I had just replaced the battery on my V6Flexi when the brushbar started behaving just like this. I was looking around for a new motorhead as my usual cleaning didn't fix the problem. Ridiculous price if you can find one as it looks like this model might be on the way out. Anyway, watched your video and decided to give it a go as it was next to useless as it was. So happy now as it works really well again and hopefully will keep going for quite a while.
4:25 Thanks for this tip! I was able to get this apart easily without twisting it by undoing each clip with a very small flathead screwdriver from under the rim.
Thanks, it's always good to see inside before you dive in... 👍
Thanks for such an easy to follow, informative video. Have just been able to resurrect my 'Non Spinning' brushbar on my fairly ancient, original DC59. Happy days 👏👏👏👏👏
Great job!
Thank you, I was on the right track. At first I thought the belt was defective. But I wouldn't have thought of this wheel with the screw inside. 😮
Greetings from Germany.
Many thanks for your comment! I’m glad you found this guide useful 👍🏽
This is brilliant and a time saver. Thank you so much.
You're welcome!
Great video = thought i'd cleaned mine out properly but there was su much hair behind the drive "gear" Saved me £300 on a new one which I can now spend on tools and beer!
Excellent video. Saved me £50 buying a replacement head
Glad it helped!
Great video, enabled me to disassemble the brush head and get to the drive rotor that was seized. In my case not by hair but I think accumulated dirt inside the bearing. A few good squirts of WD40 front and back fixed the problem.
Glad it helped!
Well done that man
Thank you!!! I just fixed my 5 year old trusty dyson.
Great work!
Just the fix I needed, thanks for the instructions! 👍
Glad it helped!
Great repair advice mate😊
I found this video very helpful, it solved the problem I was having.
Great to hear!
Great video! Very thorough and easy to follow!
Glad it was helpful!
That's cool, thank you, my problem is the pins on the brush head connector have badly corroded, you can't replace them, and really different to get anything in there to clean them.
Try scraping the prons with a screwdriver
@@parwaz7861 I worked out how to get the pins out of the head, cleaned up with Dremel, put back in, now works great again
Thanks for sharing! It worked! Greatly appreciate it😉
Glad it helped! Great to hear 😁
Great video mate, saved me a whole bunch of money!
Great to hear!
Very nice amazing video always
Cheers mate, you saved me $120cad or approx £70
brilliant instructions - thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Brilliant, thank u!
Brilliant... thanks a lot..
Brilliant vid mate - lifesaver
No problem 👍
More to than this , i have come to the conclusion that there is a design flaw in the overload circuit , it cuts in to quick .I have tries 2 brush bars one the same as the video and a new smaller one it still cuts out , release the trigger and restart and it spines again .It has good battery life and works fine with non motor attachments
Thanks mate good vid
No problem 👍
good video
Thank you 👍
You are welcome
Nice one!
Thanks!
Hello. What size torx head do you use please? I have a very hairy mrs and very hairy cats. I’m guessing it’s them that have disabled my hoover :) Ps. Great video. Thank you.
Hi it’s either a Torx T8 or T9 screwdriver if I remember correctly
I prefer the v6 over the new Dysons , the new dysons break so fast, I gave my v6 to my dad and he still loves it to this day, I bought a fluffy head for it since otherwise the main floor bits useless for hard floors
They’re quite reliable aren’t they! They’re approaching 10 years old now, and apart from the battery they just keep on working like new with good motors! If they have the direct drive heads those last way longer than the flat DC59/V6 Animal floortools
Yes the v6 we had must be about 7 or 8 years old, haven’t had to replace the battery on it yet but I think it’s approaching that time since it lasts a couple of seconds in max mode. It’s had new filters , and the cyclone has been taken apart and cleaned. But it still works brilliant like day 1
@@uhno123no9 Interesting! Has max mode been used much on it? I’ve heard of someone who had a Dyson V6 for 7 years without a battery replacement because they never used boost mode, quite cool!
@@parwaz7861 yes most likely it was used on max mode quite a bit as the suction isn’t the best without the floor head, I found you had to use max mode on particularly dirty car mats
@@parwaz7861going back to this , I think the battery has failed completely as I’ve just used and in 5 mins there was a red light appeared on the battery , i have put it on charge and hopefully it gives me a few more uses 😂
Would u be able to do a mess test with the shark duo, anti hair wrap please, if u have one !❤
Oooh, I did have one but got rid of it 😭 if I get another I’ll definitely do a video on it! 😄
Perfect x
first also nice hoover it’s my dream vacuum
second
Good video bro. But my motor is still not spinning? Any ideas how to fix it. So, it wont spin freely or with my hand.
If the motor doesn’t spin freely by hand it’s beyond repair unfortunately
@@parwaz7861 no worries bro. Yeah, i mean turns but with great difficultly and i can see wanting to turn the belt moves but it needs pull really hard.
Hi great video but my t10 is too big for the screw inside the spinner any idea what torque size that is please?
I think a Torx T8 screwdriver is the correct tool
Thank you x
That worked a treat. Dyson spinning like new🎉
Do u have any v10 v11 v12 or v15 for sale mate
great video! very helpful
