    The Sig-550 was inspired by the AK, charging handle, mag release, mag dimples, long stroke piston system, same story as the FN FNC, in my eyes they are ''lexus'' AKs, and thats a compliment, probably the best assault rifles out there.

    The birdcage FH on the end is milled out of the same barrel just like a 551 with internal threading for a blank firing adapter for anyone wanting to just ad a FH 2" it's not that simple
    SAN is coming up with barrel extension from what I understand.

      @xtremegamingwithtony7857 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I do not agree with the "very light" since sig 550 is about 3.4 kilos which is chambered in 556 and this rifle, which is 7.62, should be a bit heavier.
      Also, I have seen another video about Sig rifle series and Larry said that they are considerably heavy.

    • @lucastonoli3256
      @lucastonoli3256 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@glenwood89420 Because barrel length beyond bullet stabilization does not grant more *accuracy*, it might reduce bullet drop, but it doesn't affect real accuracy. There are many task specific rifles meant for precision with short barrels and there are several test that confirm a shorter barrel could even improve accuracy as it increases the stiffness.

    With a short 14" barrel firing full power7.62mm NATO,I wonder what's the muzzle velocity and energy?The G3 has a 17" barrel length and I use to think that's still abit short for a battle rifle firing full power rounds.The M14 and FAL/L1A1 have barrel lengths of 21"-22".I have a bolt action rifle that has a 20" barrel and fires the same 7.62mmNato and firearm experts consider that barrel is short for a bolt action sniper rifle.

    • @vnctmrn

      I'm not completely sure, but I think it was just Sig Sauer a few years ago. They then sold that company to the germans and opened a new company, Swissarms, for the swiss military. So Sig Sauer is now German/American and Swissarms is still Swiss, Sig however originated from Switzerland.

      San Swiss Arms is "the real one" when we talk about the PE90 AKA "SG550" series (the 5,56 version of the "751" in .308).
      In the past people that owned both rifle, was pointing out that "the Sig clone" (made in a different factory) WAS JUST UNRELIABLE if COMPARED TO THE "SAN SWISS" (considered by many "one of the best battle rifle ever made").
      I do know the San Swiss PE90 (aka SG550) but i have never seen (in action) the "SIG clone"; and the info that i am referring too, are AT LEAST 10 years old... So RIGHT NOW, it can be a totally different story; i don't know...
      My statement can be 100% wrong; take it for what it is...
