I felt the same as you at first, it seems they really missed a trick here. The small consolation prize for me is seeing all those achievements unlock and immortalised on my xbox account.
achievements would be a positive factor for me too. something about N64 games that have achievements on an xbox when remastered/ported over make me feel like my efforts and gaming accomplishments are now not only being recognised but rewarded.
the leaked version has a few bugs it wasn’t totally finished , even shooting out the cameras in the bunker takes more bullets and there was unfinished stuff like the multiplayer maps didn’t have proper lighting , the stack level is too dark for example
@@SonOfAlma Nope. Due to the nature of the leak, it seems nobody bothered but any sort of enhanced Goldeneye 007 like we're getting on Xbox, is better than NO Goldeneye 007 like we're had to endure the last 20+ years. 25 if you somehow played Goldeneye once in 97 and never again lol. Point being, no game with Goldeneyes level of critical and commercial success has gone more than a decade without a proper port or remaster and we're lucky to be playing Goldeneye on modern hardware at all.
@@PP7Silenced did you even make it to the end of my video? because i did acknowledge the fact that this is better than nothing. i still just wish the XBLA version was the one we were getting
@@SonOfAlma Yep. Just meant to reiterate and point it out that it's an injustice that the gaming populace has been deprived of this piece of FPS history. Nice video. It's great that people are still talking about the upcoming release.
@@PP7Silenced thanks. now i'm just wondering when it'll actually be released. my prediction is early to mid 2023. some people have said it may even come out in 2024. if that actually happens then the whole "coming SOON" thing needs to be rethought because there was nothing "soon" about it lol
Oh yeah.... the ''Ready to go'' version of Goldeneye that was finished and ready for the 360.... And never materialised. Was also ready too go for the Xbox One, but never materialised for the same bulls##t legal reasons. Then 4 months ago was again announced as ''Ready to go'' for the new Series consoles and Switch, with the Dev's saying all legal issues are sorted and the game is complete and ready to launch, and will be launching ''soon'' on the Series consoles and on the Switch in 2023..... I'm sorry, but this is what p####s me off about gaming. Nobody is counting on this game to sell millions, nobody's job is dependant on this game being a success.....It is launching on Game Pass, so there is no reason for it NEEDING a specific launch window. So IF it is complete, IF it is ready to go.... Where the f##k is it???????? If i say too someone i will see them soon, i mean a few days to a week...Not 4 f#####g months. This is taking the p##s.
The xbla version already 100% playable yet they're not even releasing it. Completely mind boggling. But hey it's better than not releasing any version at all I guess.
@@GoNotreDame It's not a guess. When Nintendo announced Mario Party coming the first week on November they showed Goldeneye underneath the 2023. So nobody has said it but it's all but confirmed we will have it early next year. Other wise both Nintendo and Microsoft deliberately run egg on their face saying its coming "Soon" when it could be over half a year. In this industry "Soon" is six months tops. Also I know my comment is just that but if your getting annoyed at the "insight" go troll Jeff Grubb, Dreamcastguy, Spawnwave, Destin, ReviewtechUSA and the rest of the talking heads that come on to TH-cam ebery single day like I do and spill out speculation and rumors for the sake of it. I actually care about Goldeneye 007 and the misinformation being spread about it.

true that but isn't there a fan made patch that fixes all of these issues?

nope. my guess is as good as yours. love the Jack Bauer pic btw. awesome character!
