Now that they are adding classic N64 games like Turok on the PlayStation, my fingers are crossed for Goldeneye and Conker's Bad Fur Day, playing the story and multiplayer again like the old days (hoping it will keep it's cheat menu like Turok, man, I finally have a reason for using cheatcc for cheat codes lol). :)
sadly i don't think that 1st party Nintendo and Xbox games will be multi-platform but we can all hope. Goldeneye was 2nd party so it has a better chance than Conker. but we can all live in hope i guess :)
Golden Eye is already remade for the PS3. What's wrong with that version? Why nag and demand it remastered again? If you don't think that is a huge upgrade to the N64 original, you're mistaken.
Man, I hope this happens. I fuckin loved Turok 3. Played through it over & over as a kid, so a remaster would be a great way to revisit it. To me it felt like a mix of Half Life meets Resident Evil. I'm not saying it's completely like those games. It just gives me the same feeling when playing.
Turns out, it means Turok 3 is DEFINITELY getting remastered by Nightdive Studios. I can't wait, especially considering the absolutely brilliant job they just did on Quake II.
dude i only JUST saw the announcement trailer. i think i squealed louder than any fanboy should have when i learnt we're finally getting the remaster of Turok 3 after all this time
@@kdkseven yeah when it releases it'll be 5 and a half years since Turok 2 remaster was released but better late than never, i wonder if they actually ever found the source code or if they one day just said "fuck it" and decided to recreate it from the ground up
@@ramsesjfg7668 I'm currently playing the Doom games for the 1st time each and realized it's a lot like Duke Nukem. That led me to think Duke Nukem would also be one hell of an addition to super smash lol.
I think the reason that turok 3 hasn’t been remastered is because it never had a PC version and the original code I think is lost...so they would have to do it from the ground up...I want it to happen...but I don’t think it ever will unfortunately.
well, the first Turok game that Nightdive release was remade from the ground up. Turok 2 was remastered from the creator source. so there may be hope. plus in a livestream of Nightdive one of the executives was asked about Turok 3 and Rage Wars and he said "well, Rage Wars is on our agenda so it'd be weird if we remastered rage Wars and not Turok 3." so he didn't outright say no
@@SonOfAlma i thought that the original turok was based on the PC version like Turok 2? Looks like rage wars was not on PC after a google search. So I guess it’s possible if they said they are going to do that one next. I hope it’s true. Turok 3 on N64 runs pretty bad. Shadow man remastered is rumoured to be available on consoles at the end of January. Also a great game from that era.
Turok 1 was based on the PC version but they still had to remake the game from scratch. Turok 2 was enhanced from the original Turok 2 pc version. I know what you mean about Turok 3 running like shit on the 64 hence why I sold my copy. I play an emulator version of it on my pc with controller support and it runs REALLY well at 60 fps

@@SonOfAlma I guess they will do both at some point. I just hope it doesn’t take too long. I would definitely prefer 3 first over rage wars...considering the multiplayer on turok 2 is pretty much dead on consoles already anyway.
The reson Turok 3 didn't get remaster was because it a step down from TK2 and it didn't sale good back then. The score is low compared to the first two games. TK3 needs a major rework on the story side, gore and weapon function. The company eliminated a lot of the good stuff we had on the first two games. I play 3 but it was an awkward game. The story was a bit weird too.
@@SonOfAlma I lost that hope a while back. The only way TK3 can have a successful remaster is if they adjust and change a lot of the story which is something possible only if they are willing to put the time in. The reason TK3 was a failure was because what happened in Aklaim Studios back then. I know Nightdive has remaster tons of games. But those games they have remaster where not failures back then neither. Hopefully they fix TK3 so we can have a complete collection, but I just don't see it happening unless they are willing to change a lot of stuff in the game. I can see them working more on the Legacy of Kain series than TK3.
Now for the remastered as long as they didn't take away the cheats especially for us who played and beaten the games on the N64 still own them on the N64. Turok 2 seeds of Evil Bewareoblivionisathand
yep, that's still the same cheat code for Turok 2 remastered on all platforms. the ultimate code for the original PC version was "oblivionisoutthere" just for trivia. i first played the game with cheats but then finished it a few times without them. T2 is a lot easier with the remastered version

@@vixenfatale4839 it's mostly easier because the game no longer lags. remember on the N64 version whenever you used the flamethrower and the game dropped to like 5 frames a second? well, no more. plus they added waypoints for objects of interest which makes the Lair Of The Blind Ones (one of my favourite levels) a lot easier.

yeah i like the fact that all 3 Turok games have their own separate identity and vibe. now i just live in hope that the 3rd entry gets a remaster
They should bundle them together and call it "Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion + Rage Wars". It's the best way to do it.
