Why did Lara get so much hate. Kind of annoying as I watched this episode to see it in action. Only for it to be hosed every turn 😢
I guess once you have 12 commander damage from something that can be unblockable you get a bit paranoid.
Agreed. Having it bee super evasive is great but also puts a target on her. I face this problem in my nine-fingers keene deck. I attack for the trigger but end up killing them to cmdr dmg.
She is a build around deck. Same with Kadena. You keep them off the battlefield and the deck just sucks. I have both decks and I hate it when this happens.
So Lara Croft was killed a whole bunch while Isshin was basically left alone? 🤷♂️

22:53 He already factored in the 1 life from cleric class, that’s why he gained 5 and not 6. The counter goes on after gaining life, so flumph has 4 toughness + 1 = 5.
Curious why Jan removed the Lara Croft at the end instead of the Aurelia in response to the equip trigger?
Or even Isshin to prevent all the double trigger madness

so rolling stones actually says Wall creatures can attack as though they didn't have defender.
which is a big part of why i dont run it or at least wouldnt if i had a defender based deck

Actually built Lara myself and only did it "fairly" for myself and it's "not good." I had _no idea_ it hit other player's GY (cuz why would it do that?). Thanks to the folks here and especially Aaron for making me feel dumb.

Actual moral of the story; commander players are generally not good at threat assessment. Rather than preventing to get a situation out of hand, in this game a single commander gets removed over and over like it was a meme.
Why does protection cause the appropriate auras to fall off, but shroud does not? Both say “cannot be the target of…” right?
Auras only target while they're on the stack. After they're on the battlefield they are attached to the permanent they're enchanting but no longer target. Protection specifies that the permanent can't be targeted or enchanted, but shroud says they can't be targeted.
@@TheSpikeFeeders Roger that. I thought that auras continuously targeted and that was the issue that caused them to fall off.

For 37:17 when deflecting swat was cast, why did it have to be something that wasn't Aaron's? Otawara and Deflecting swat both don't care, was there hexproof from something?
I for some reason thought Otawara was opponents only. Just lied to Madisons face but she made me pay for it 😭

Is it just me? The footage of the cards and the overlay card were distorted in 1080 and 1080 premium bit rate on and off wifi on cell and smart TV. I'll try tomorrow hopefully it's better for me

Someone why Aaron was the target of this game? Mindflayer doing a lot of sh*t on the board, but people care about one creature on Aaron's board. I don't get it.
K-9 was the big deal here. Lara can crank out commander damage. I run a voltron and extra attack step version of Lara. K-9 means everyone dies at once.

If Madisson's creatures didn't have vigilance, her creatures would not be untapped for the second extra combat phase (with the exception of Adeline).
Aurelia untaps all the creatures before the second combat.
@@TheSpikeFeeders correct. Was just pointing that out after Alex's comment that he "wouldn't be able to deal with the second and third attacks".
While the players at that table were probably aware, the audience might've not, so pointed it out in case someone was reading the comments.
