Glad to see Eliot back! Although calling Rushing River terrible and getting blown out shortly after seems like extreme Karmic Justice. 😂
You might say he was sent up a river without a paddle :)
That's what I'm SAYING
-Jim
To be fair rushing river would have let him do things for... one whole turn. One turn where he had 0 mana available. Tutoring for enchantment destruction would maybe have been more friendly.
@@Sheer_Falacy Certainly true, but this way was, one funnier, two probably better for Jim if he actually cast it, three might make everyone at the table think twice the next time they want to Ragavan him after a vamp/seal
Eliot was on the last episode. Is this some inside joke?
Small thing about the counterbalance, I’m pretty sure “may reveal” doesn’t mean “look at top of library, then etc…” 😅
Yep, it says Reveal the top. Not look at the top
There's an editor's note that addresses it, but holy hell is that so much additional information Aaron gets
They address this directly with big words on the screen when that happened. Not sure how you missed it lol
I see that now 😂 was washing dishes and missed the editors note in my first watch lol
Being fair to everyone, I watch almost every one of these episodes during my shifts while they are slow, and I could be glancing away from the screen at any time, especially when the players lay out their whole turn verbally. I get why people can miss notes like this.
Also, not everyone watches at 1x speed
@@jakemaxwell3810
Oh thank god the old game genic music is back. That’s my jam.
Made me invest in some
@@wakatoashaw2249I bought 10 of them to start and a big ole dungeon thing. I cannot wait to buy more!
Nooooo
Its solid as a rock! The normal “fast” version is superior
ikr the other one was rather lame
Elliot we definitely noticed and I for one am very happy to see you.
Popping the Ragavan is the best thing I've seen in a while LOL What a fantastic turn of events!
My first cedh deck was Kroxa too! These days I changed it to Jeska, Thrice Reborn and Tevesh Szat Doom of Fools to have more utility from the command zone if Worldgorger combo is off.
Tymna/Jeska is pretty sweet too with a few different options for loops alongside gorger and very able to play through a grind.
2:14 Okay but why'd you have to do Alex like that 😂
The Banter was coming from inside the house. -Alex
love seeing some talion gameplay as its my deck of choice
Holy shit calling Alex american like that it in the intro is fucking hilarious
Lots of play mistakes, but a fun game
What's wrong with Werebear?
It exercises its right to bear arms.
10 turns of only one playing making meaningful game actions, sick.
I came here, looking to see how kroxa plays only to not see how the deck plays😅
Do an edgar markov- escape from Markov Manor cedh deck build for a game, ive seen turbo ad naus lists on moxfield if you're interested-- i think it would be cool to watch
That was fun
Who ever even said green is the best color??
You can be excused for missing the Pyroblast - Misdirection interaction, it's pretty new. Only 25 years

Alex my friend. My buddy. Please don't play Heliod like this. He's my pet deck and it hurts my soul to see my boy being missplayed lol. Never play ballista unprotected. You get like 2 chances with that combo, one with ballista and one with triskelion, that's pretty much it. You're up against a blue player that has drawn A LOT of cards. The only time you play an unprotected ballista is if the 2 blue players have just had a counter-war. Otherwise you wait for silence. That's how you win with heliod, it's very parasitic but that's how it is.
The "C" in this game was so odd.
Can someone please ask Alex to stop shifting tenses? It's irrationally infuriating to have him say things like "we'll play a Plains for turn and I'll attack Eliot for 2"
That isn't a shift in tense. Both are present tense. He's just shifting between first person singular and first person plural, and then only barely, because English has a historical slang called "the royal we."
Nah. "The royal we" is nonsense in this context. It makes no sense to say "we'll play a plains" instead of "i'll play a plains" or "we'll go ahead and attack jim" instead of "i'll attack jim". And switching between them constantly without rhyme or reason is even more nonsense. @@CrownlessStudios
@@racewarkingdomsable nonsense? Sure. But it's not shifting tenses.
Great video! A really fun deck selection!
Note about Evelyn is that she says you get to play a card from your collection on EACH turn, so you can flash things out on other players' turns as well!
This is the cEDH i enjoy most. High powered but full of banter with friends.
This makes me wanna try out Talion as a first CEDH deck for me.
absolutely love this video! as a new player, my only rec would be: in the center of the screen, instead of fading in between cards, simply cutting between them (or fading much faster) would make them more readable! i find myself pausing at weird times where the card doesn't get a chance to fully fade in just to try and read it. i think showing the card is a useful and interesting part of the video though, thanks!
Alex prevented Eliot from playing Magic, and Aaron prevented Alex and Jim from playing Magic. So a successful game for everyone!
The mind games with that Rushing River, love it
I heard Italian
It's-a me, a Talion!
Honestly i have such a soft spot for worldgorger loops
First
2nd
Ooo kroxa i just pulled the numbered one from a collector pack
Hrmm.. I think if I were Eliot I might've tried to run Kroxa as a sorcery once before Talion could come down, get a bit of hand disruption.
A quick question...when Jim flashed in the notion thief, after the counterbalance resolves Aaron let's the notion thief resolve and then plays sheoldreds edict after it has ETB...is this because its on the end of his turn so he gains priority again allowing him to do this?
Why Alex not target Phantasmal image, with Heliod?
Heliod is not a creature its enchantment does not have enough devotion
@@pupsabre27Heliod can activate it's ability to give lifelink even if it's not a creature, which would kill the Phantasmal Image because it gets sacrificed whenever it's targetted.
I had the same thought, but it's easy to armchair-quarterback when we're not on camera.
@@WhiteWizard42 yeah very true, I didn’t notice until very end of match.
Love your videos. Please Urabrask the great work cEDH deck. Thank you
I like to think that Alex in his shirt is a Heliod cosplay.
Spoilers
Aaron ran that table holy shit. Very well done!!!!
This was a boring game to me. Just a bunch of passing and mind games
I believe that is what J.R. would call a slobberknocker.
who invited guga
Bloodchief Ascension can only accumulate one counter a turn even if multiple opponents lost 2 or more life.
I absolutely love Kroxa in cEDH. Steals a lot of games. I've absolutely destroyed Blue Farm decks with it. I'm not running the WGD version but instead, I opted for Breach lines along with Dockside Curio lines. Sometimes, you just win through the incremental disadvantages that you deal to your opponents via the plethora of discard spells and hand disruption (like Winds of Change, Dark Deal, and Burning Inquiry)
Rushing River is used as a tempo piece mainly...
Bounce problematic permanent and something like your own Mana Crypt, Docko or what have ya....
One slight correction that doesn't change anything but is interesting: Pyroblast can target any spell but only counters said spell if it's blue. Red Elemental Blast is the one that can only target blue spells.
Wheres the really cool guys like mr. "Thanks for having me, its great to be here"
I love Serge!
That’s Benjamin Wheeler. He’s with Loading Ready Run MTG.
30:07 Aaron forgets he has a 1 drop on top of deck for counterbalance, and so does Alex, but it doesn't matter because aaron spends misstep on it.
I dont play cedh but i enjoy spike feeders content. The after game and pre game chats are great. Glad the game genic intro is back
Hype!! Some of favorite decks in this pod
Alex's intro was way too on point.
ok, rest in peace in, I just advanced to search the moment it was out. #kroxa
someone please tell me where i can get large dice like that
I saw Elliott at magiccon coo guy..
Impressively, the dead bird only would have triggered 3 times in like, what felt like 5 or 6 turn cycles. Which is very low if you think about it
I think Aaron getting to look at his deck every time a spell is cast had much bigger impact on the game than if Shredder stuck around
Glad to see the gang back
Eliot. 👍
"Get in the comments" Jim LaPage a Brennan Lee Mulligan fan confirmed?
No respect for Aaron
I would like to know where Alex got his pineapple shirt. It's very fun.
It was off of Amazon, but it says that it currently isn't available. -Alex
Fun video but Aaron triggered talion on simian spirit guide and Evelyn neither of which has mana value 2.
power and or toughness as well
It counts power and toughness as well
Thanks i was so confused @@BathtubBreeze
Where did the name "spikefeeders" come from
There’s a card called Spike Feeder
I really don't get the appeal of cEDH
You don't have to watch it then.
Fun, fast, proxy friendly, equal power levels. What’s not to love?
@@j2c695The equal power levels is so huge. Every time I sit to a casual pod it feels so hard to line up appropriate decks together, but cEDH just takes off the bumpers and asks you to let loose and play to win. Nobody gets salty about little stuff and you get to try and play around/through interaction, which just kind of isn't a dynamic that exists in casual EDH.
