Great episode as always. Minor thing that probably wouldn't have changed the outcome. Elliot was incorrect when he stated Jan doesn't get the mana from Neheb, so Jan should have had about 40 red mana from Neheb From the rulings on Neheb: "2017-07-14 If an opponent loses life and subsequently loses the game before your postcombat main phase, Neheb's last ability counts that loss of life."
Missed chandra's incinerator triggers on that last play. Jan had 2 instances of 4 damage he could have assigned and that might have been enough to win. 26:21
I don't think it could have worked like that, "Whenever a source you control deals noncombat damage to an opponent, Chandra's Incinerator deals that much damage to target creature or planeswalker that player controls.", the damage would have only been able to go after creatures and walkers.
@@julianayala3342 he could have used those 2 instances of 4 damage to kill 2 creatures such as ishin and another creature to save his life total and survive for one more turn. Since the total damage was 9 on her turn.
@@DepthbeforedishonorThe issue is it says "creatures or planeswalkers that player controls" he shot Aaron, not Madi so he couldnt target her stuff. I think he should've shot her and not him instead tho
@@MentallyLatent was hoping somebody said this haha. i thought for sure he would go for maddy, and destroyed aaron's artifacts. wouldve stood a better chance.
I really like the art on the 1/1 blue and red insect token with flying and haste. Super weird and niche but I always thought it was super cool how the locust god is in the background towering over everything. Honorable mention to void winnower, I think the art really embodies the despair and hopelessness the citizens of Zendikar probably felt seeing ulamog's spawn eating their plane.
One of my favorite arts of all time is the secret lair version of Higure, the Still Wind. By far the coolest ninja in my book, shoutout to ninja’s for getting me into magic! I saw the ninjutsu ability and the cleverness of it made me fall in love with this card game.
I have two favorite card arts. Black Sun’s Twilight and Go-Shintai of Life’s Origin. I love the feeling of hopeless desolation in the face of Phyrexian malice topped with Sheoldred. Go-Shintai is just a big weird shrine dude vibing in the wilds which is such a mood.
Ascendant Evincar is my favorite card by far. The armor that Crovax is wearing looks so impressive, and then the background where everything is dead.... Just a flavor win.
I love the art on Yawgmoth's Vile Offering. Really cool moment, cool spell, really cool art all around. A close second is Breach the Multiverse, though. I might have a thing for reanimation spells
Choosing my favorite art is hard and I may have a different answer tomorrow, but currently 2 of my all time favorites are Transgress the Mind from BFZ and Yawgmoth's Vile Offering, specfically the version from MOM Commander.
There was an editor note in there that Elliot shouldn't have been able to buff the Triplicate titan by 2 so wouldn't that have changed the ending of the game because Jan died to exact damage?
My favorite card art is the 5th edition version of Primal Order. The house reflected in the water but not there in actuality just resonates with me for some reason.
I think my favorite card art is Skrelv, Defector Mite. Whose finger is it biting? Is that Elesh Norn? All we knew is, that's one brave little defector.
Unironically, Colossal and Phantasmal Dreadmaw are 2 of my favourite arts, maybe it's partially because of the memes but I do love some good Jesper Ejsing art.
I love what I saw from the Axonil deck, super cool storm burn. Interesting brew. I built him too but went with the pinger plan instead so I can kill the whole table at the same time.
I've got a friend from Mexico who has a whole rant about the pronunciations in LCI, b/c it's kind of a mash up of Spanish and multiple indigenous languages. Might be O-hare Aks-o-nil, might be O-jerr Ash-o-nil, might be something else entirely. TLDR, there might be no right answer.
I adore the comic book art on the mutate cards so much, and Snapdax is my nunber 1. It breaks my heart that the cards from the Sultai precon didn't get those.
Minor point. Mesmeric orb triggers go on the stack as upkeep starts (from a ruling update from 2020). Except for some timing with Jan’s upkeep trigger, it wouldn’t have changed anything in the game, I don’t believe.
Rules question for fiery confluence. If he chooses to deal 2 damage 3 times but it's 1 resolution of the spell would Ojer's replacement effect have occurred?
The cast trigger being treated as an Etb for Decimator of the Provinces I think did kill Jan there at the end. The 2 life would have maybe given him an extra turn. Still a cool game. I'd like to see these decks do again.
Because "Whenever you attack" is referring to the action of declaring attackers as a whole, if it was written to trigger off each individual creature attacking it would have to be phrased like Basri, Devoted Paladin's second ability. "Whenever a creature attacks"
After the first couple seconds of the video, I was like, "Please tell me the entire table is in matching monochrome plaid." Then it cut over and I was disappoint. :P
Hi! Great game everyone! Just a question for Aaron: I tried different builds with Lara Croft but can t really win a game in a high powered table (literally never won out of maybe 10 games at least!). Have you ever won with that? I am about to dismantle the deck 😂
Eliot steals the game to Jan that +2+2 made mandatory the block on mimeoplasm, with urabrask not dead he had the game Cool game otherwise, i really want to see the Lara Croft deck in action i hope it will be refeature soon
Maybe that's just grown on the talk whether it's casual, but the burn deck didn't feel casual at all to me 😅. Casual high power I would call it maybe 🤔 But maybe it's just those two legends combined go nuts.
Aaron genuinely cracks me tf up. “Ok eight cards in hand two are 277” he’s so deadpan it kills me.
Great episode as always.

My favorite card art is Fastbond - that iconic, classic wizard looking out over endless possibility. Beautiful
Whoop whoop spikes back in action cannot wait. I always drop whatever I’m doing to watch yalls videos 😂

The SLD is nice. I prefer the original though. I started playing with the OG Kamigawa block so it holds a special place in my heart.
My favourite card art is Progenitus, the one where it's looming through the clouds. I love that card so much.
In the end, the cast trigger on Decimator was relevant. Great video as always! Love to see mono-red going off with my fav praetor
Why are they asking for the card numbers of the lands? What's the significance of 277?
Your uploads make my day! Love yall, best edh content out there

Sick deck Jan. Very impressive showing.
It's pronounced "Oh-hair a-shuh-neel"! Definitely my favorite recent commander I've built

Aaron’s sulfur falls is a top 3 art for me. Absolutely *stunning* foil
Steven belledin's duress is one of those cards that just stands out in my mind.
I think that my favorite card art has to be the secret lair karmic guide. It speaks to a beauty not often found in mtg art.
I love the card art of Risen Reef, so colorful and bright :D
I think my favorite card art is Skrelv, Defector Mite. Whose finger is it biting? Is that Elesh Norn? All we knew is, that's one brave little defector.
I LOVE the secret lair Azami, Lady of Scrolls, but my all-time favorite is my Avacyn, Angel of Hope, the foil box topper from double masters
Unironically, Colossal and Phantasmal Dreadmaw are 2 of my favourite arts, maybe it's partially because of the memes but I do love some good Jesper Ejsing art.
Honestly, one of my favorite arts that have come out in a while has got to be the alternate art for Nissa of Shadowed Boughs
Favorite art is Song of Creation. Feels like top down that card was designed for me from art, to name, to what it does.
Art and cardwise: a foil Dross Harvester is a beauty!
Sheoldred, the Apocalypse stained glass card art is my favorite
Destructor dragon is one of my fav arts, such a great color palette
My favorite art is Raymond Swanland. All of it. In foil!! Even Arid Mesa!!
Restless Spire from Wilds of Eldraine is so gorgeous. Loving it
Forest 305 from Mirrodin is probably my favorite art, the “weed” forest, closely edges out Forest 274 from Dom United 😅
I love what I saw from the Axonil deck, super cool storm burn. Interesting brew. I built him too but went with the pinger plan instead so I can kill the whole table at the same time.

Goblin wizardry and goblin diplomats have some of my favourite arts
Super happy to see Ojer Axonil!
Insidious roots is one of my favourite card arts
I adore the comic book art on the mutate cards so much, and Snapdax is my nunber 1. It breaks my heart that the cards from the Sultai precon didn't get those.
My favorite card art is definitely for Chaos Moon. My favorite random old red enchantment.
Minor point. Mesmeric orb triggers go on the stack as upkeep starts (from a ruling update from 2020). Except for some timing with Jan’s upkeep trigger, it wouldn’t have changed anything in the game, I don’t believe.

I mean obviously the best art is Outmuscle. German suplexing a bear... peak performance.
Favorite card art; Master transmuter, anytime i have an artifact deck with blue first card in everytime just on art alone.
The cast trigger being treated as an Etb for Decimator of the Provinces I think did kill Jan there at the end. The 2 life would have maybe given him an extra turn.
Still a cool game. I'd like to see these decks do again.
Ice Age Scaled Wurm. It’s not close. It’s one of the reasons Magic stuck with me and I have a print hanging at home
My favorite art is the borderless art on thought scour from double masters 2022.
I hope Aaron tries out Laura Croft again, youtube is sorely lacking on Laura Croft EDH gameplay and I would love to see her pop off a bit.
Why doesn't Adeline trigger for each attacking creature?
Because "Whenever you attack" is referring to the action of declaring attackers as a whole, if it was written to trigger off each individual creature attacking it would have to be phrased like Basri, Devoted Paladin's second ability. "Whenever a creature attacks"
After the first couple seconds of the video, I was like, "Please tell me the entire table is in matching monochrome plaid."

3:33 I love the whispered "sᴏʟɪᴅ ᴀs ᴀ ʀᴏᴄᴋ" here
Loved watching decks slap.
I love the new dino commander. Such pretty alternates
Fav art on a card has to be Gift of Orzhova it’s just beautiful art
mesmeric orb is very fun in a sultai deck, especially if you also have gaea's blessing (every mill is a singular trigger on the stack)
Still my favourite art is Sensation Gorger from Lorwyn. so many funny weird details on this weird lil guy
Babygozilla, Ruin Reborn (aka Pollywog Symbiote) is the best art hands down. Look at that little guy!
Came for the Ojer, left solid as a rock.
Another great game you love to see it
My favorite card art is on the full text lands.
Hi! Great game everyone! Just a question for Aaron: I tried different builds with Lara Croft but can t really win a game in a high powered table (literally never won out of maybe 10 games at least!). Have you ever won with that? I am about to dismantle the deck 😂
What a game!Thanks!
What is a 277
Good Games Spikes!
Favorite card art not being ad nauseam is criminal imo
Idk if ole boy with Ojer is running Glint Horn Buccaneer but it would've made tht Wheel of Fortune, lethal! 😅
i love elves of deep shadpw goth art
I think Maddison is correct to get on Jan's case. He should have totally cast the rite of flame on turn one
my favorit art ist the original It That Betrays
Eliot steals the game to Jan that +2+2 made mandatory the block on mimeoplasm, with urabrask not dead he had the game
Cool game otherwise, i really want to see the Lara Croft deck in action i hope it will be refeature soon
one of these days the lara deck will get to do something in a video
Ah, mono red commanders. For when you have a bus to catch.
Also lol Eliot out here doing things wrong
Maybe that's just grown on the talk whether it's casual, but the burn deck didn't feel casual at all to me 😅. Casual high power I would call it maybe 🤔
But maybe it's just those two legends combined go nuts.
Jan hard focusing Eliot this game. Yeesh. 😅
I’m not even upset that ojer lost… not only was it super close but it got a great showcase
It's also not "Ohær" but "Oxær". :P
My favorite art is Dark Heart of the Woods, the dark version. Yes, I am a boomer.
Oh Eliot you absolute goober
Damn, I wanted to see Lara in action
Aaaaaaand, I just ordered an Axonil. XD
Zacama is my favorite art
O Eliot. Red Ojer is just like Splicer: not fun at all at a casual table imo
See you at magiccon Chicago
Aaron use a different style of t-shirt, I almost didn't recognize him, anyway he is the best in the pod
Best art is anime rhystic study no contest
Did I miss something or the disclaimer is wrong, it did change the outcome of the game, no?
Hence why they said that it does
shout out to rite of flame! again!
Damn, sad to see a Red Deck Lose, instead of a Red Deck Wins because of a misplay. Good deck from Jan tho.
haha I actually hate the Isshin artwork. It looks like Saffron olive dancing with two swords. The sword coloring and lighting look cool though.
I’m solid as a rock
Hello im here to make fun of eliot in the comments :)
He misscalculated the hell out of the endgame he should’ve went all in on ishin and he shouldn’t have attacked with ojer her got greedy
HA Jan lost because he tunneled Eliot, love to see that play get punished
Plz bring Lara Croft back again.
Isshin needs a bit of a upgrade! Outdated list
We filmed this a little while ago, i've upgraded it a bit since filming!
@@TheSpikeFeeders *insert sponge bob excitement meme here*
She's playing isshin and says her deck is the most casual
Elliot is such a disappointment as a deckbuilder, rules interpreter, and his win rate, because he's my favorite.
Felt more like a cedh game, rather than casual.
