Is there a big downside to exposed filters like that? I LOVE the look of them, and the power too, but I've heard they can be more maintenance and more concern in rainy weather.
How much would that be at the crank hp wise ?? And how much more power would this setup achiev on a mt07 689cc (HO) model ? Also have a question , I have a cheap shitty muffler and mid pipe , could you still flash my ecu if I do filters and remove the restriction stuff ?? Thanks mate will be buying asap
Having Afterpay makes it so good haha I get my bike on Tuesday 🎉 have a r6 right now but it’s just annoying great bike but too fast and uncomfortable. Don’t get me wrong it’s a unbelievable bike and insanely fast but sometimes the slower things are more fun 🤷♂️
This is awesome! The only downside I can see is that anyone with an MT07 will never be able to sell it or trade it in, because of the mods it would never pass roadworthy (RWC) to transfer ownership.
I am curious about torque figures, because I´m pretty sure that with that filter configuration you must have destroyed the bottom end, and looking at the power figure that you are getting (69 RWHP, which in the end is the power figure of a non-restricted stock mt07), that stage 3 is worthless to me. With an intake runner of 0mm, you are virtually destroying the engine behaviour and response
Basically they restrict the motorcycle from factory to be able to sell them as LAMS approved motorcycles (for learner riders) and what they do in this video is unrestricted the motorcycle to it's full potential.
You'll get wet lol. Seroiusly though, it wont be a problem everything is well covered and its highly unlikely you will get water hitting the air filters. You can also buy a sock to put over the filters for added protection should it be an issue.

In the end the HO has a few more ccs so it’s in theory faster but in reality they end up having the same output as each other when the non-HO is derestricted
I think it's at 75 at the crankcase stock vs (now) 70 at the wheel which would translate to 80 at the crankcase (70x1.15) people estimate that 15% is lost from crankcase to wheel...I'm not an expert at this (trying to figure it out myself)
Depends on where you are as well. This one is in Australia where it is a LAMS (learner approved motorcycle). They are restricted like crazy in comparison to other countries. My 2021 mt07 in Canada doesn't have nearly as many restrictions as these start off with. Earlier videos of this bike was making something like 46 hp at the wheel

What’s the fastest mt you’ve dynoed? Highest hp and torque. Have one and want to get it at peak.

Please keep your claims and comments to Horsepower, this channel does not work in KW. A stock Lams MT-07 produces around 45HP.

My 2019 mt07, has maverick full system exhaust, dna air filter and woolich makes 77hp
All Dynos read different and there are many things operators can do to fudge numbers..
