I was on my MT-07 and decided I would give more throttle at the light then usual and I remember feeling light looking down and my handlebars were sideways...😅 yup that was my first ever wheelie
As long as you landed it safely my dude🤘🏻🤘🏻
😅😂Nice
I must confess I own a Kawasaki Z650 that was mainly because there was a Kawasaki Dealer Near Me. But your MT-07 Sounds Mean & That Bike Saved Yamaha's Bacon some Years ago When They Were having poor Sales Figures.
@jefflambert8603 for what the bike is it sounds so good reminds me of the r1 how it crackles
Wheelied on my mt03. Bike got some torque that’s for sure 😅
Mt07 being capped at 130 is a con but low-key a pro too. A little less likely to fkn die bcs of stupid decisions 💀
Love the passion in this video, you get across how much fun the MT07 is, its all about that low torque grunt. Myself im coming from an SV1000 which is known for torque and im looking for a light weight commuter to flick around and this seems to fit the exact purpose i need it for, cant wait to pop the front up on one of these.
Cheers man, means a lot. I think I will always end up going back to an MT07, it's so much fun. I've got an XSR900 at the moment and can't wait for a dry day so I can see what she can do 🤘🏻
Aside from the bike the scenery was amazing. So beautiful, I loved the last part with the open road and just the amazing view of your country mate. Also the bike looks really fun.
It's a beautiful area to explore on a bike. I took it for granted living here until I got a bike. I love it 🤘🏻
Watched this video after looking at this bike for months!! And today I just went out and got one! I'm so excited to start my riding journey 😊
Yes Jenn, I love that! You're going to have a blast 🤘🏻 enjoy it and be safe 👍🏻
Getting my license this spring and I've looked a lot towards this bike! Thanks for the vid mate, I feel more reasured to get this now!
Glad I could help dude. I know you'll love it 🤘🏻 enjoy it and be safe one it bud✌🏻
Be careful on a 700cc bike. I wouldn’t recommend going higher than 400cc for your first bike unless its power is restricted.
Your first bike should not be an MT07, get the 03 and after a year and 5k+ miles upgrade. And practice your low speed drills.
i got my 07 for about 2yrs now and i can't just stop riding it. really funny, easy maintenance, good amount of power where you need it for street riding, basic electronics so you can really "feel" the bike. despite the flaws (fixed by a good suspensions upgrade) this bike is pure love. enjoy it!
I agree, I'll always have a soft spot for the mt07. It's such a fun bike 🤘🏻
if its cold out like 5celcius the front end feels better in the summer its a pogostick if you try to breake hard
I'll most likely get a Suzuki Gsx-8r but I really enjoyed your video. Love the sound, the beautiful view, and the way you talk. Thanks!
I'm yet to ride one of those, I'm keen to try it🤘🏻 thank you for your kind words dude. I'm glad you enjoyed the video ✌🏻 Take care on that new bike when you get it 👍🏻
I’m in the same dilemma, trying to chose because sold my MT07 2014 which was so much fun but it was time to sell it. Now I’m thinking about getting the new MT or the GSX-8R .. MT07 Pure is here 7000 euros and the GSX-8R 8200 euros
Literally just picked up my MT-07 yesterday without ever knowing anything about it. First gear nearly took me to the moon. Definitely gonna be aware of that. Also the ABS is amazing on this bike! Saved me first day riding in the rain.
Just go careful bud, it can surprise you if you're not paying attention 🤘🏻
Great vid …was thinking of getting the Z650…..this may change my mind now ….exhaust note with that can sounds terrific 👍
Cheers dude. I'm sure you'll make the right choice, whatever bike you go for. If you do go for the 07, the exhaust I had in this video was a black widow 200mm carbon tip full system that cost around £330.00 🤘🏻 if that helps 🫶🏻
Thanks for the video , i didn’t try the before but i felt in love with it before anything ✨ , I just bought one 2023 model and I’m waiting to get my license to pick up my bike I’ve got the blue color 😍💙
Thank you for watching. You are going to love it so much dude. I'm excited for you 🤘🏻 be safe on it and have fun buddy ✌🏻
Great video, helped with my descision
Cheers for watching my dude 🤘🏻
I'll be getting mine in about 3 months, very excited about it, not too worried about the color or the year, so long as it's within the last 4 years, it'll be my first bike! Currently in the process of completing my motorcycle course :))
Nice dude, you will love it so much 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 enjoy it and be safe dude ✌🏻
What happened dude hope you bought it
Calling today about picking up a black 2024 . Thx for the review!
Glad to hear it dude. I know you'll love it 👌🏻
I have a white 2018 Mt-07 and It's awesome. I'm going to switch the headlight to a modern round LED and windshield, to give it more of a Neo Cafe look. I was also thinking of adding a carbon fiber tank cover, since they are so easy to switch. I like the white though. So I'm not sure if I will.
After owning two ZX-6Rs, a ZX-9R, a SV650, a Sportster, and a few other obscure models of bikes, I started to learn that going 150mph isn’t everything. I was happy enough going 100mph on my Sporty and I was happy enough to have the torque of my SV650 and I was happy enough going breakneck speeds on my Ninjas, but nothing comes close to comfortability and long distance capability. I remember riding 2 hours to get to a meetup, riding around all day, and then riding 2 hours back home, I could barely get off my bike and could almost cry from the pain. If I did that on an MT or any upright naked, I probably would’ve had the best day with no pain.
I don't think top speed is for me to be fair. Speed is fun but it's not very often that we'll be going at breakneck speed. All day on a naked bike is perfect for me. Obviously if you sit down on anything for long enough you'll get a numb bum but I love getting home after a long day riding and still able to walk 🤘🏻 whenever I get on a super sport I instantly cramp up as I'm not use to it 😂
I got recommended by my mate to have a look at one of these bikes I love the look of them this is gonna probably be my first road bike to get to build up my confidence riding on the road
If it's going to be your first bike, just be careful and ride to your limit not the bikes limit 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great review.
Thanks Steve 🤘🏻
Love the MT-07, got mine just over a year ago and I can't stop riding it.
Another easy and cheap upgrade that I'd recommend is an R6 throttle tube specially if planning to hit some twisteis, which this bike is really competent and fun on, despite the suspension.
Couldn't agree with you more dude 🤘🏻
Next Wednesday I am hopefully finally getting my license. If I pass my test that is.
I was looking at either getting an MT-07, CB650R or a CB750 Hornet. So far the MT-07 seems to be the most fun out of them all. Definitely wont be missing the Drivers Ed Z650 though.
Thank you for making the video!
You're very welcome dude. I wish you all the best with the test dude. I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hi a friend of mine has a mt07 had few go's on it and have to say I love it I am going for my full licence next month I have a yamaha vargo 750 v there but thinking of buying mt07 new love the exhaust on your bike 👍
Cheers man. It's a lot louder in person. Absolutely nuts considering it was only £330🤘🏻
Nice video man! Bought an MT07 2019 three weeks ago. On Tuesday I have my final test and hopefully I pass so I can go on nutz on Tuesday (:
Cheers my dude. I'm excited for you! Have you been on it yet?👀👀 I'm sure you'll do just fine dude. You're going to be in love with the thing 🫶🏻 that bike is pure joy 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs Nice video, really well presented. Loving my MT07 so far, gonna have to get a Black Widow, yours sounds mint.
Cheers man, what's your favourite thing about you 07 so far? I'd recommend a black widow any day dude 🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs Love the riding position and the general look of the bike. Never thought an MT would sound so good with the Black Widow. Also wish I could wheelie, yours are really well controlled.
@@5davi524 all it takes is some practice dude. If you want something hard enough, you'll achieve it 🤘🏻
Enjoyed it 👌. And now I'm waiting for this to launch in India
Cheers man. When does it launch?
I started riding a bike last year and got myselfe a 2023 MT-07. Though i don't have a lot of experiance with bikes, i think it was really made for the markets of countries that have a 35kW limitation for beginners. From what i saw while riding with friends with all different kinds (GS1250, Z900, Z650, normal MT-07), it's really made to accomodate us noobies. Suspension keeps my speed for cornering in check (through that chkchkchk mentioned in the video) by not boosting confidence, but allows for accelaration on streets very much like the bigger, not power limited ones (obviously slower but not by thaaat much). And it allows me to really find out how i should control my bike. Other beginners i drove along with had the quickshifters etc... but they struggled more on handling parcours. So i understand the cons for an experianced rider, but for me as a beginner, i think it really does a good job.
If I could I'd always have an 07 in my garage 🤘🏻
Switched from a 4cyl to a mt07, and the torque and sound of the mt07 is what makes me happy. With a 4cyl the fun starts @10krpm and u're running almost 100km/h after first gear. The 07 is fun until that, so it's a perfect bike for street use
I agree, you don't always need top end power for street. Perfect little street bike 🤘🏻
Love the video, great source of information. I drive an hour for work and I'm usually around 70-75 mph. I sold the R7 because it was not comfortable for long rides. I'm in-between a 2024 MT07 or a 2023 Yamaha Bolt thoughts?
Cheers my dude. The R7 seating position is a bit more uncomfortable than the MT. I found the seat perfectly comfortable on my 22 plate 07. I've not had any experience with the Bolt but what I do know is that I cramp up whenever I get on cruisers 😂 but they are known to be comfortable for longer rides so that might be your best bet dude🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs Thank you
Love your content!! But I have a question: How is it possible to keep hitting the killswitch without killing the power to the bike and having to restarting it again?
Thank you dude, I'm not 100% sure how it works but I think it has something to do with the revs being up higher than tick over, as if you hit the kill switch without having the revs up, it just turns off 🤘🏻
I just subscribed can you do a video on exhaust and stuff pertaining to it I see a lot of the same so I just wanna see a different take on the whole situation I just bought my 2023 mt07 and love it so far but im new to bikes so I want as much info as I can get!
Cheers dude but a bit of bad news, in October my MT07 was stolen. I have scheduled videos to go live every week for the rest of 2023 but now that I've got a different bike, 2024 will consist of that my dude 👌🏻
I have the exact same bike and absolutely love it! Hoping to murder it out as well. Currently have a full m4-rm1 exhaust, snorkel delete, tst tail tidy, and r6 throttle tube (favorite mod after exhaust).
I’m planning to get the bike flashed from 2wdw and hopefully make it run smoother, and get some evotech levers.
The list is never ending 😂 we always find new things to add to our beloved toys
Sorry for my ignorance but what do you mean by getting the bike flashed?
@@stonesaquatichomes6825 It's when you manipulate the ECU to make it run to your preferences. Bikes come out stock standard, and just like we have to adjust shocks to suit our weight and riding style, changing the computer can provide a more tailored experience.
Thank you for this video! Im thinking about buy this bike, but not be sure about what I want, new one or used. But after I saw your video, I definitely know - I want a new one
Thank you for watching dude, I'm excited for ya. You're going to love it when you get it 🤘🏻
i agree, buy new...i paid 9,600.oo in Ohio for my 2022 Icon Blue MT07 & was very, very happy to get it....put 500.oo down on 4-15-2022 & picked it up on 8-05-2022....took almost 3 1/2 months to get it...
hey a quick question, what do you do with the power button when braking?? What's it for? Great vid btw.
It's a way to make the exhaust backfire on command but it's not healthy for the bike so don't do it dude. It's a bad habit I had when I made this video 🤘🏻
Great vid bro, getting my MT in few months 💪 does it pop without switch turning on/off?
Cheers dude. Yes it does but it depends on what exhaust you have I think. Some 07s I've seen pop more than others so I think it's down to the exhaust that's fitted 🤘🏻
I got the Arrow Thunder and it pops about 3-4k rpm when you let go of the throttle. I dont regret it🥰
I own a MT-09 my self and i consider to change my wife bike (xj6 diversion f)with a mt-07🙂.
Thanks for the video
I've now got something similar to the 09, revealing it next week👀. The 07 is a brilliant fun bike. I'm sure the wife will love it dude. Thanks for watching ✌🏻🫶🏻
Great video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it dude. Thanks for watching 🤘🏻
Ty from across the pond. In the process of trading up from a Vitpilen 401 for one of these. I'll link the exhaust when I pick it up, it's crazy looking.
Sweet man, looking forward to it 🤘🏻

I'm so going to buy one. Love the easy flicking around. Can you recommend wide type handlebars & can I buy a different color, also a loud exhaust or what you got. Cheers mate safe riding 👍🤟😎
Do it man, you'll love it. I've tried the renthal utlra low bars and the Protaper Evo Carmichael bars and I think that the Protaper ones are better, for me they are anyway. As for the exhaust, it depends what your budget is but the one on mine is a black widow carbon tip 200mm. It's stupidly deep and loud, you can't go wrong with that, it's around £330.00 🤘🏻 I hope this helps dude👍🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs OK cool cheers bud I'm now looking at some handlebars & the exhaust. OK it's not going to beat my sisters suzuki bandit 1200cc dam that thing is so bloody loud on 1 rev, I can here it coming up the road lol
@@jasonshute5520 I could hear my mate on my MT from about a mile away 😂 it's stupid 🤘🏻
3 colors, Black, Icon Blue, which i have, & the grey color
wow! what is your go pro settings? this is beautiful and id like to mimic it. i have a hero 10 and a 2015 mt07
I've only got a 7 black dude, I do a small amount of colour correction. It might be because I shoot with my shutter open for longer and have an ND filter over the lens. That could be it 🤘🏻
The MT07 has a known front suspension problem. There is a static sag issue, for some riders a fork spring issue and, changing the fork oil viscosity to match rider weight, is important. The rear suspension while basic, will work when the front end is setup properly.
The only other real complaint with this motorcycle is too much engine braking. That can be fixed in the ecu. Happy riding...
I’m planning on getting my license this year. I want one of these. I don’t want super sports speed. I’m confident that this will me more than enough bike for me
Fair play dude. I'm confident that you'll love it whole heartedly 🤘🏻
lovely video, any thoughts on suzuki's sv 650?
Cheers mate. As the the sv 650, the only things that I've heard is that it's a lot smoother and handles corners better than the 07, other than that I don't know to much about them. I like the look of them all blacked out though 🤘🏻
i want to get a motorbike license asap but since ive seen the 07 i fell in love with it, out of all the bikes i could get at the A2 powerband license, this bike has always stuck in my head as a must have in my life
Do it dude. If you are old enough, get the full license. The 07 is still fun with the A2 restrictions 🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs only 20 so gotta wait 4 years for a full license unfortunately but for now I'm saving
@@Sebastian-cn6sd it'll be worth the wait dude 🤘🏻
10:34 I have a 2022 full power, black, full Akra exhaust, tail tidy, puig gen2 sport screen and most important of all professionally installed full suspension upgrade. You said in your video about ride and handling well you should try this bike now, it's a whole different ball game.
Nice man, I've upgraded since I posted this video but a suspension upgrade would have been next on my list 🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs makes am amazing difference yeah? Here in NZ the roads we ride on are crap and a lot of twists and turns around where i live, ideal for this bike and with new suspension its great fun.

But what are you doing with the kill switch?
I myself got a '22 mt07 also
It's a bad habit I picked up. It makes the exhaust pop on command but it's not healthy for the bike 🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs o oké haha. Nice
I did the mods that Dave moss does in his channel and it fixes the front end. Cut the spacers in the shock I think 20 mm if I remember and heavier oil and works like a charm. Got 15 wt fork in mine but find it a little stiff but want to swap it to a 10 or a mixture of 10/15
Is that on 2021+ gen?

Thanks for this honest and open review. I am a beginner and i fell inlove with the looks of the suzuki gsx s750, sadly it is not built anymore and a second hand with 10-20k km will cost me around 8700 euros, it kinda took away my enthusiasm. In my search i came across the mt07, in my price range. Would you recommend this bike for a beginner? I make allot of jokes about wheelies, but joking, i dont want to do wheelies. As you mentioned it a couple of times i became a bit scared for wheelies. Mostly i will use the bike for fun, commute to work (30 min drive) and or 1,5 hrs to the town i grew up, with perhaps some trips with the misses where we will ride longer (she has the kawasaki z650). Can you share your thoughts? Thanks in advance!
Ah and speedlimit in my country are 100 km/h (60ish m/ph) or on some highways 130 (80m/ph). As im new to two wheels i have no clue if i like speed, for now i am still a tiny bit overwhelmed with all the wind.
Cheers dude. I'm glad you liked it. Is the MT07 good for beginners, yes and no. For an absolute beginner? No. I've seen some many people crash MT07s because they don't have the experience when it comes to riding. I'd say if you have at least 9 months riding experience on a 125 then you'd like to upgrade to the 07, I think that's fine as that's what I did, but you've gotta be careful and riding within your skill level and not what the bike can do. The 07 is a wheelie machine but it doesn't mean you need to do them, if you don't want to then you don't have to. I've met a few people with 07s who just cruise around on them. Ride your own ride dude 🤘🏻🫶🏻
cool vid nice riding place
Cheers dude! Yeah man, the new forest is a nice place to explore on a motorcycle🤘🏻
I am just looking to buy MT07 Pure 2023 new one in Croatia it costs 8.5k euro. Will be putting Akrapovic exaust on it and comfort seat, that will bump the price to cca 10k. I have ridden one 2021 from my friend for frew months and its fun. Also I have full licence but dont need faster bike.
I love the thing, if got a faster bike now (xsr900) but love how playful the MT07 is. I'll take a fun bike over a fast bike every time. I'm waiting for warmer weather so I can have a decent play with the CP3 engine 🤘🏻
PLEASE, what model of mobile support is that? And where you buy that blue LED box, it's beautiful. Or a tutorial to install. Thank u!

Nice vid man, but I have a question what should I buy with an a2 license, a mt 07 or like a honda 500 or 650. The mt 07 sounds so good but i am doubting abt it
It depends on what kinda bike you want really. I've got experience with the cbr500 and the 650r. If you want wheelies and a light bike to flick around, the 07 is what you want and if you want higher speed and a more aggressive bike then go for the 650r. I'd say not to bother with the 500, you might out grow it pretty quick like one of my mates did. Another thing to note it that one of my other mates found the 650 to be aittle lackluster for what he wanted and ended up getting a zx6r. You've gotta ask yourself what you want and then go from there but always remember, if you feel you've made the wrong choice, you can always exchange it and get a different one ✌🏻🤘🏻

Hi man, perfect mt07 video review! I'm riding same bike as you and I have some questions :).. 1. What handlebar are you using, how wide is it? Looks like it's little bit wider than that standard silver handlebar 2. Pop and bangs with engine start button are working out of the box? How to do it? 😁😁
Cheers my dude. I happy to help with your questions. The bars are protaper evo Carmichael bars, I'm not 100% sure on what the size is but I'm sure the dimensions are listed online somewhere. As for your second question, it worked as soon as I changed the exhaust but I wouldn't recommend doing it as it's not healthy for the bike apparently 🤘🏻🤘🏻

The lack of tech on this bike is what made most people i know buy the bike so i wouldnt call it a con. Also the power its got is fast like you can go 70 max legally so there is no point in having a faster bike at that point but the rest i do agree. And if you ask me i wouldnt call that a beginner bike unless you have the a2 version.
What would it cost to get some propper suspension on this bike ? Im really thinking about getting mt07, I have ridden A2 for 2 years on old yamaha and this year will get full A license. I'm torn between MT07 / MT09 / Z900. Every bike has own pros and cons. Great video anyway, im subing
Cheers for the sub my dude. I wouldn't be too sure on how much it would cost tbh. I never got around to getting mine done. I guess it could be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be really. I've just recently got a new bike. Bigger than the 07 👀 the reveal is tomorrow 🎉🎉

i dont really think havin no tec is a con like quickshifter you can buy it with it or can do it after purchase (my opinion i dont need TCS and shi on a mt07)
I've got a '23 790 Duke and have been able to ride a couple of friend's MT07s (as well as a '22 MT09 and '22 XSR900) after the fact. Not one of those bikes made me feel like I made the wrong decision. Considering both the MT07 and 790 currently have about the same MSRP right now, I'd be hard pressed to recommend the MT07 for any reason other than reliability unless they finally update the bike or lower the price.
I haven't had a go on any of the dukes. They seem like a lot of fun. I think the MT07 would be awesome with a few more features 🤘🏻
I would also echo this and that is why I too went with KTM.
Yamaha isn't brave enough to add features to their A2 range, since it feels that it would cannibalize MT09 sales. Many buy 09 for the superior suspension and not for additional power over 07. KTM added WP Apex suspension to 390 and 2024 MT07 is still without a fully adjustable shock. Looks like my next is KTM 890 if MT09SP haggling isn't good enough 😜
Im thinking of doing a DAS and would consider this, or the Honda CB650R as a potential first bike
Do it dude, between the two bikes. If speed is your kind thing, go for the CBR but if doing wheelies and being a hooligan is your cuppa tea, get the 07 🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs the riding school Im eyeing up has the MT-07 as part of their learner bikes...guess I will see what they are like that way (im tall and heavy so adventure bikes also an idea)
@@sobek perfect dude, you'll hopefully find out if you like it or not. You won't be able to be a hooligan on that one though 😂
I have a ninja 300 and looking at getting a new 2024 MT-07, Im more confident now after riding the ninja as ive only had my license for just under a year and i love supersports but the naked seems like a better choice to have for the long term as i want to buy something ill keep for a while and the 07 seems like something im not gonna feel a need to grow out of for a very long time if ever. Obviously will have to get the restricted version but there doesnt seem to be too much of a downside to the LAMS approved model
Honestly mate, from someone who's owned an mt07 for 2 years. I'd always want to keep one in my stable. It's such a fun bike 🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs That's super reassuring to hear. The only issue I have atm is the suspension and a lot of people saying its bouncy around corners and stuff, is it really that bad or just a little quirk you get used to, as if I'm buying new or relatively new there wont be much left in the budget for upgrades
@@kRiD_1 it's not a deal breaker. I made sure that I tightened my rear shock and it felt much better. I'd recommend that you try it as it comes for a bit and then see what it feels like when it's tightened up 🤘🏻
10:20 Have I heard correctly? You are 6ft 2in and it's comfortable?
I'm 6tf 3in, looking for first moto. I've been told that MT-07 is too small to even consider for my height, and I should look more towards Tracer 700.
I felt fine on it dude. When I was stood next to it it seemed a little on the small side but only just. I felt comfortable on it, felt like I didn't look too big for it really. 6ft 3inches might be different though, that extra inch makes a difference 😂
Gonna make an MT07 my birthday present for my 24th lol… ofc gonna get those fast track license trainings and a bike safe course + ample time practicing in parking lots, quiet roads, or even a track. But MT07’s just seem like they are fun, have a good build quality, so they last, and are comfy enough for 2-4 hour rides - right?!
Love it dude. It might be the best birthday treat there is 😂. I've been out for many all day trips and it's perfectly fine, obviously if you're sat down on anything for too long then you'll get a numb a** 😂 if you find that you could do with a bit more comfort, you could always get the comfort seat 🤘🏻✌🏻
I have a Z650 and I believe it is pretty similar to how the mt07 handles when it comes to torque and maneuverability
It's very punchy and feels like a BMX with an engine if that makes any sense 👌
Debating if I should go for the KTM Duke 790 and this one haha thanks for the video!
You're welcome dude. If you want more tech then the Duke might be better for ya 🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs yeah thats the only "pro" that i can see right now. Both bikes looks amazing!
@@marcusbengtsson501any chance that you could test ride both?
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs Sadly not.. the thing is, i kinda like the look of the MT better but KTM suppose to have more power, suspension and the tech so haha yeah i dont know
@@marcusbengtsson501 flip a coin 😂 if you don't like the answer. You'll know what to do 😂
as an American, i had so much anxiety watching the cars on the opposite side of the road and i felt like you were about to die every single time lol
😂😂
Seems like the perfect bike if you are one of those people that don’t want to get a 3-400 as there first bike and want a lil more power but aren’t going to get out of hand
Oh believe me, this bike can definitely become out of hand 😂
How are you making the exhaust pop with the switch or whats going on to make that happen?
Not 100% sure, I've been told it's not healthy for the bike to do it though ✌🏻
Debating on getting this or the mt 09. It be my first bike I’m very familiar with speed I have a Yamaha apex with the R1 motor and its supercharged
I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun on one of these dude ✌🏻
what is the button you keeped flicking with your right thumb? on/off? make backfire. thx
It's the kill switch, I've been told it's not healthy for your bike so do it at your own risk ✌🏻🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs yeah don't touch the killswitch while riding. That is a short road to engine trouble.
I tried an XSR700 and was dissapointed with it. I think its probably a fantastic bike ( it certainly sounds great with an aftermarket exhaust ) but the amount of praise the 07 and XSR get online for its fun-factor meant that I expected something far more exciting than what I actually got. It's maybe exciting as a first big bike, but once you've experienced more powerful and agile bikes, I don't think there is that much impressive about it.
I'll always love the CP2 engine. There's something about it for me personally. I've got the XSR900 now and can't wait to see what's that's capable of. I'm not a top speed fan boy, I like my bikes to be fun and flickable. I'll find out if this bike ticks all of my boxes when the weather is better 🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs I previously had a MT09 so I'm pretty confident you'll love the XSR900. Mine was a 2014 with the incredibly snatchy throttle but once I got used to it it was a fantastic bike. I'm guessing they've ironed that issue out with the XSR version. It's a proper lunatic machine. Enjoy!
@@ianclose123 I'm looking forward to it my dude, cheers buddy 🤘🏻
CP2 engine bikes are legendary because their power characteristics are better suited for street riding. The high volume of online praise is because most people don't agree with your preference. I've been riding for over 50 yrs. and the bikes I enjoyed the most and had the most fun on had more flexible engines with good low and mid range power. For track use I agree a strong top end is more useful and more fun but for any appropriate street use not so much (IMO). MT07/XSR700 (or any similar sized 270° P-twin) is the right tool for the job for most of us!
@@richardwarsinske7064 there will always be a place in my heart for the CP2 engine. It's not the fastest bike in the world, but it does make you smile and laugh when you are riding the thing🤘🏻
Hey there I’m just curious are you switching the ignition on and off to make the bike pop? Doesn’t that bad for it?
It's a bad habit I picked up that I've since stopped. It does make it pop on command but it's definitely not good to be doing. I'm 5 months clean now 😂😂
Oh okay thanks for the reply ride safe 💪🏼
@@zalanmartin6926 you as well dude 🤘🏻
The Yamaha MT07 is such a fascinating bike! It's great to see a discussion about the key considerations before making a purchase. This model has quite a reputation for its balance between performance and comfort. What do you think stands out most about the MT07 compared to other bikes in its category?
The main thing to me personally is how light and flickable it is. It's hugely confidence inspiring to people upgrading from a smaller bike and so much fun. Always puts a huge smile on people's faces when riding it 🤘🏻
all the torque in the lower gears.....go through the gears....you hit 6th you're going probably 70 & you have a BIG grin on your face.....It feels so good & powerful......It just hits a "sweet spot"......
So I have enough money to buy either a bike (I like this one ) or a small used car (I can only get one ) can I ride one of thèses the hole year like daily without problem ?
I'd say yes, but only once you are very comfortable on the thing. But icey conditions on a motorcycle is no joke. Maybe get a car and then once the weather starts getting better, sell it and buy a bike ✌🏻
When you changed the exhaust did you have to get it maped cheers
No I didn't bud. Just changed the exhaust and that's that 🤘🏻
Quick question why do you keep turning the run switch on and off? What does that do. p.s I just got a 2023 on a 2024 plate for £6488
It makes the exhaust backfire on command but don't do it because it can harm your bike over time. Fair play dude, you'll love that bike 🤘🏻
My biggest complaint about the MT-07 is that you cannot turn off ABS. I like that they included it for general riding, but you should be able to turn it off. The only way to turn it off is to remove the fuse.
Yeah man it is annoying. It would be cool to turn that off to do some rolling burnouts 🤘🏻
8:18 I just picked mine up and love how nimble it is. It is what ive heard from everyone up to buying it. But it baffles me how heavy it feels still. I came from a grom so THAT is just too easy to move around. if this bike is considered light and nimble for full sized bikes I just cant imagine how sluggish most other bikes must feel lol
It's a very light bike. Once you've tried other ones you'll understand how light the 07 is but coming from a grom I can understand where you're coming from 🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs oh it’s so light! Just insane realizing how truly heavy other bikes is 😂 road some Harley’s and even some Honda counterparts and the fz is light work 😂
Whats that thing you are pressing with your right thumb to make it gurgle/crackle like a sports car? Is that a mod or is that like a stock engine brake?
It's the kill switch, it's a bad habit I picked up that I've stopped since posting this video. It makes the exhaust backfire but it's not healthy for it 🤘🏻
No cap it sounds sick as hell though.. I wonder if theres a mod or tune that would make it do that naturally when you let off the throttle at high revs like a hellcat lmao@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs
@@willsohrnberger2441 if you get it tuned it'll do it. My xsr900 back fires when I left off the throttle when I give it some 😂
Live down the road from me! Want to get my A2 but only have a cbt and a mt125. Want a 07 after. Fancy swinging past and showing me your bike?
Since I've posted this bud, my Mt was stolen while I was at work. I've got an xsr900 now. Come to the coach and horses when they start the bike night again. I post on Instagram when I meet up with local riders and usually meet up there 🤘🏻
What part of England is this? Looks very pretty
The new forest in Hampshire bud 🤘🏻
I cant stand the mt-07 headlights from 2021 and on, but how many km should i be looking for in a bike from 2018-2020?
There's no correct answer. As long as it's been looked after and has full service history 🤘🏻
im learning to do my licence currently. Sorry for the silly question but why are you touching the killswitch so much? Does it produce some pops?
Good on you dude and yes it does but don't do it, it's a bad habit I picked up that isn't good for the bike (so I've been told) 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I want to buy my first bike this year. I thought about buying the mt 03. Is that a good bike?
I've not been on one but I think it's not a bad place to start. I'd rather you learn on a 125 that's not going to cost a lot of money as something might happen and you'd rather drop something that doesn't cost you a fair chunk of money 🤘🏻
Hey, i want to buy a mt 07 but cant decide which one. I'm wavering between 2020 and 2022 but leaning towards 2020 because of the Euro 4 standard What do you say, is there a big difference between Euro 4 and Euro 5?
I've owned a 2019 and a 2022 a I preferred the 2022 if I'm being honest but each to their own. I didn't notice any difference on how it felt to ride them so it's down to what body shape you like more I guess 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@FrazerAndrewsMotoVlogs and whats about the sound? Is it the same or is the 2019 louder
@@qwxaii- honestly, I had the same exhaust in both and didn't notice a difference. On the 2022 I could hear it well over a mile away when a friend of mine took it for a spin 🤘🏻
I would buy it
I definitely love it
The only real con you'll notice is the suspension though. If the wind bothers you, put on a puig windshield, and the top speed is meh, you don't really want to ride faster on a naked bike, cause the wind will rip you off the bike.
i have a Puig mid size windscreen on my 2022 MT07....It helps & looks cool AF
Always weird when you recognise where the video takes place , thought this was heading to beaulie lol close to me
