I love how so much of his badass persona has been built by side materials during the original trilogy and by literature and games following the movies. He was portrayed as obedient in the beginning, especially to Tarkin. And the other military heads were not as afraid of him as one would expect.

Believe it or not, Lucas wanted Leonard DiCaprio for Anakin in Episodes 2 and 3 but he was busy filming Gangs of New York and wasn't available. DiCaprio would've NAILED some of the scenes in Episode 2 for sure, but not in Episode 3; the dialogue in a lot of that movie is terrible.

I actually hate how they handled the "be careful not to choke on your aspirations" thing. Its totally a Vader line, but the corny delivery with the turn and the obvious fanservice gesture? Nah. He should have just paused mid stride, Krennic starts choking, change angle so you're getting half of Vader's "face" in the foreground with Krennic choking out in the background over his shoulder, then the same line delivered, but more dryly.
