That sound is unreal! Cheers for sharing that special POV!
I LOVE this channel: no battery operated cars, no kids quoting dead Brazilian drivers out of context, just passion and a lot of knowledge about motorsport! Thanks
Thank you we do our best (Alex)
Imagine this beast in the middle of the night at full throttle down the Mulsanne straight. Epic sounds, much better than F1 cars of today.
My hairdryer sounds better than todays f1 car
thats just the most savage engine note ever. Wonderful !
Oooof, when that engine started up a little shiver went down my spine. Closest I'll get to driving one of these mighty beasts so thank you Mr Brundle for the amazing footage!
Ah yes, the Ferrari V12. One of the best creations ever made!
Wow, absolutely amazing footage!
Glorious sound and fantastic skill from a great driver, he still has it. Thanks for sharing
Did I ever enjoy this, yes I did. Love these older race cars. What a rare privilege to be able to see it turn laps, more so to drive it and race it hard like it was built to do. So happy you posted the video. Best of luck to you at the races.
Epic. Thanks mr. Brundle!
Insane!!! One of the best videos ever!
Dear God ,what an eargasm
Amazing! Thanks for the video!
Great video, such a raw and vivid expression of a pure NA V12 in this car.
Glad you liked it!
A beautiful point of view and a wonderful car. Thank you
Brilliant mate!
crazy sound
WOW! Great way to start the day, that noise is something else
Thanks Martin (finest F-1 commentator by far and away), I needed that. and congrats on your win at Silverstone.
This is Alex his son driving
What is this sound...OMG!!! Perfect! :-)
The noise, the glorious noise! (I'm not talking about the engine, I'm talking about the "grunt" you made trying to turn the wheel at the start)🤣😂
Martin can still hussle a car. Nothing like a race transmission shift of those days.
Donington is so tiny for this beast, he can't even use 4th gear 😂.
Awesome fascinating insight into an awesome machine. I know you would have been rev and tyre limited but how did those lap times compare to 2023 BTCC times...Just curious. Ace video
It’s miles quicker than a BTCC car
Fantastic stuff. Do you left foot brake in the corners where you're not downshifting? And does a desire to left foot brake sometimes mean you might hold a slightly higher gear than is ideal in order to facilitate it?
I do not; the pedals are not positioned so you can in this one.
Long gears are because of the torque, which is massive from a V12 and the fact it’s just a shakedown so we are not pushing super hard
read brundle....most race car drivers are left foot only clutch, right foot toe on brake and right foot heel on gas, right foot is tilted at an angle
What track is this? I know it says sliverstone, but doesnt look llike it? Amazing...... having driven a paddle which do you prefer?
Including authenticity vs technology??
The car won at Silverstone classic… this is the shakedown at Donington
I recall a comparison test ( Motor Sport ? ) between a T70 , a 917 and a 512 .
The 512 was criticised as being simply too noisy for its driver over long periods.
It’s fine with earplugs
This is why I will never go electric. Long live noise!
BA!
I do'nt quite understand right hand drive cars with the gear change... on the right. Why do you want to be reaching into the door pocket to shift gears?
The whole box is a bit of a strange setup on that. Feels like an afterthought
@@BrundleBTW That seems like something Italians would do in the 60s and 70s. Design a beautiful car, an amazing engine, and at the last moment realize they forgot the transmission.
@@mattorama pretty much!

No warm up needed for race cars? Hit 8000rpm instantly.
We’d warm it up for 20 mins or so in the garage if this was the first run of the day.
Which it isn’t.
@@BrundleBTW aah, ok. Makes sense.
