I haven’t played OW1 but so far I’ve had plenty of fun in OW2. Like sure it can be frustrating at times but I always end up having a blast even in ranked. I enjoy playing with friends and just having a nice match with decent people.
Not having played Overwatch 1 is the reason you don't understand the frustration of Overwatch 2 being the way it is, it's a fun game in the sense that it's still Overwatch, sort of, but it's just not the Overwatch most people who played the original want, it's not as enjoyable as it was before, and now to get any cosmetic (as unnecessary as it is, that's the only thing you earn in this game), it's egregiously overpriced, especially for the extreme lack of creativity and care put into any of the skins they make, releasing a plethora of recolours either in the shop or putting them in battlepasses, a lot of legendary skins that are essentially just the base model with one little new feature is just so disappointing, they fired too many of the developers that made Overwatch enjoyable and worth the time and money spent on it, definitely still a game you can pick up and play with friends to have a good time because fundamentally it's almost the same as it always was, it's just sad that they care so little now
@@pobblebonking sure try to criticize the only thing THE ENTIRE OW COMMUNITY agrees on, that being the skins being peak design. there is no reason to complain about the price of the skins because they are not that far off the prices of others FREE to play competitors. If a skin is 40 bucks but its a collaboration and an absolute banger of course im going to buy it.

the game is STILL constantly disappointing me. The current season had skins that were in the LAUNCH trailer 2 years ago. Everything we're getting now is just leftovers from the PVE. Also the balance is trash. the game is moving more and more away from what i want, especially since season 9. im so sad about it. it was my absolute favourite game to ever exist. i'm only still clinging on because my dumb ass think its gonna come back to its glory. but i know deep down it wont. :(
The LEAST they could've done was make you earn more of the new currency in the battlepass, at the bare minimum, enough to buy the next one like every other game with a battlepass does
@@pobblebonking hell funny part is ow2 could of have kept the free loot box for leveling an had the shop an battle pass as well all together. you get a free loot box per level an the shop would sell everything if you just want to buy it straight up an the battle pass new stuff for the season an after a season ends then its added into the loot box. an doubles give coins 25 as usual. was very much a option to have a large free player base as well as a paying one. but what would i know i only have 37 years of gaming an 30 years of marketing experience.

Nah this game doesn't play great at all anymore. It's horrendous across the board. Raidboss Tankwatch is so fucking boring. Also visually it's straight up a downgrade from OW1. UI looks ass, new rank symbols look ass, performance is worse, etc.
At least there’s less of a queue time, more frequent updates, L U C I O B A L L, and 5v5 works better. Still think that they shouldn’t have ever thought about Pve though and just made these changes but didn’t call it a new game

Literally no one asked for the horrendously bad 5v5 format, which is fundamentally flawed. No one asked for sterilizing the UI. No one asked them to tinker with the matchmaking and ranked algorithms so hard that in S3 every pisslow Diamond player was boosted to GM for no reason. No one asked for "balance" to be hero X being utterly broken for 2 months straight on purpose (!!), forcing mirrors nonstop. Just to swap the flavor of the month in the next utterly random patch, which never fixes the actual issues of the game. The list goes on. No one asked for any of this bs. All the playerbase ever wanted was a game that wasn't left to rot for a promised "sequel" with the main selling point - PvE - being utterly and completely axed. Every single patchnotes manage to be worse than the notes before and many high level players are utterly baffled as to how this type of buffoonery is even possible.

If you get enough people talking about something, the devs will notice and eventually give them what is wanted. Now that a 6v6 play test is in the works, people feel more obligated than ever to talk about what they want reverted back into the game. Yes, the amount of players is at a good number but most of their revenue comes from the in game shop now, not from buying the game itself like it used to, or from buying loot boxes, which were mostly only bought during the original seasonal events, which were a lot less frequent than the new seasons we have now. What it’s showed is that most paying customers are still a large portion of the community complaining so blizzard feels they need to cater. So to answer your question, “why do they keep complaining ?”, it’s because the complaints are working. Not a bad strategy yes ?

Now I will admit, if you look at this game in a vacuum it isn't that bad. Compare it to games in the genra like concord and it isnt that bad But when you look at overwatch 1, and look at all the promises made about overwatch 2 like the PVE, this just feels like a scam.
