More info on the specific wheels I got: 20x9.5 with a 35mm offset. These are range optimized wheels that maintain factory specs with a better offset, lighter weight and stronger. If you call and talk to their sales team they can walk you thought options if you get confused
Is there any range spec improvement or have you noticed any improvement with the forged wheels and IONS?
I just saw a video from you 2 years ago and I saw you said collinsville I was like wait a min does he live near me and I saw all the video and yea it was collinsville Illinois I live near you woow this is amazing
What is your tire size with these 9.5" wide rims? Did you go with a square set-up?
I will be testing this. Not sure. @@matthewsciarrotta2118
square setup 255/40 tire so standard factory tire size @@markweber5297
I have been wanting these wheels for many years so I am very excited to say the least. Can't wait to show all of you the next upgrades. Totally changes things for me
The Wheels look awesome.
Thanks for the info on both tires and wheels. I ordered the 19 inch for my Y, same color as yours. Love that color. Did you get the ION EVO as SUV tire or just the ION EVO? You have been very helpful to many of us over the years. Big props.
Those wheels are so sic! I dont need em, but damnit i want em.
14:48 I didn't hear a word you said. That shot with the background and the god rays coming from the sky over the mountains! Incredibly beautiful.
Man you're knocking it out the park! Come a long way since the focus days! Love seeing your success!
Thanks Dan I appreciate it!
Thanks for making this video. I just looked at my rear tires on my 2023 MYP with 19k miles and the inner tread on my rear tires was down to the metal! Just ordered the rear camber arms otherwise I would have blown out a tire if I took my car on a road trip for the weekend!
Just got my UP-03 on my Plaid Model X and you can definitely feel a difference. I’ll stop by AZ next month to let you drive it
Those iON EVO AS tires are insanely efficient. I have those tires on my Model 3 Performance with 18” wheels and I got 207 wh/mi for 220 miles. They are 17% more efficient than the original 20” PZ4 tires and wheels that came on the car.
Well done. The 18" wheels are the way to go for efficiency. The Hankook iOn EVO AS are interesting, but have not seen enough evidence to convince me to go with them. I do not want to compromise wet braking, hydroplaning resistance, etc. (safety) just for pure efficiency.
Love the vid, really curious about performance and 0-60 times and overall range for the price compared to other brands. Also, your hilarious and enjoy the commentary style!!
I also picked up Hankook ION EV tires about 5,000 miles ago. Very happy. Much better ride than OEM Goodyear. I also have 20 inch on factory wheels. MY LR. Just like you.

High quality video production values! Funny and informative as always. I live in Brooklyn NY and am pretty sure I won’t be able to find an alignment shop here that would know to go into the service menu and make the adjustments to the steering rack that he did. Looks like a fun road trip to Unplugged Performance might be in the works this spring for my ‘23 LR MY.
Should have installed the smallest diameter that would fit your application to maximize performance. 18-19" for me, forged magnesium if available.
For sure coming back to hear about range gains from wheels/alignment (5-10%) plus acceleration gains with lower rolling resistance
Very impressive upgrade! Those wheels look fabulous and that shop looks like a high quality place! I look forward to more videos about the improvements and if the wheels have improved your range and 0-60 times. Cheers
Nice wheels. The freeway sign is where I get off the 22 when going home from the east.
Very nice. Love the wheels. I ended up buying the iON evo’s a few weeks ago, put about 800 miles on them so far and they’re absolutely fantastic tires.
Brilliant content. Those wheels are sweet too. Can’t wait to see what you have next.
Great video again. Give us an update 0-60 then before.
Nice I like the rear camber arms.
One of my life's minor goals is to get Gjeebs to pronounce Porsche like it should be pronounced, with two syllables. 😎
I am dying on the current hill I am on
Nice video, can't wait for the 0-60 times and some new range tests!
Car looks great!... love the camber arms
Great looking wheels! VERY tempted…
Thanks.
The funny part of the video is watching everybody pass you on the highway lol!!
20's are just the right size for the Y looks good
I agree
Looks absolutely sick
WILD to me how a company claiming ultra lightweight will not post wheel weight right in the description of wheel.
They are hiding something! I noticed that and decided not to go with them due to lack of transparency! It’s a lot of money to dump for 2 extra lbs. saved
I have those hancook evos. If someone just wants to do one upgrade. Ask discount tire to order them for you. They really are quieter and softer feeling.
Yea that's where I got mine
Greetings, do you have any oil change video?
I like the n2itive or MPP camber arms better. Easier to adjust and lock with the wheels on.
Very nice looking wheels! That reduction of unsprung weight is impressive.
Yea I am excited to do 0-60 and range testing with them. Steering feels more agile too
Wheels look dope.
Thank you!
Looks great! Congrats!
Thank you!
Put some wheel locks on those:).
Should def check out Startech and their body kits.
Great content!
Now I’m looking on too getting those wheels and curious about your review with Hankook all season tires. Looks awesome @Gjeebs
Thanks man yea I am excited to test these tires out
How about an upgrade and review with an ingenext ghost module?! I’m considering getting one and would love to get your take!
Looks sick (the good kind 😂)
Very, very nice. I was thinking yo would have added new lug nuts instead of the factory ones. I guess as a cheaper alternative you can add a set of lug nut caps to get rid of that industrial look. Otherwise these look great.
Imagine this wheels on a quicksilver Tesla. Whaauw!!! 😮
Yea I wish we got that color here
@@Gjeebs we can meet somewhere in Europe 😇😉
You can get Titan7 for cheaper and forged.
Congrats! Very nice wheels, but not the lightest for a Tesla Model Y. I have the APEX VS-5RS 19” (same size as factory wheels) and they are 19.2 lbs each.
Those are 19" forged wheels so I would hope they are lighter
Just started following your channel. I don’t own a Tesla but find your videos interesting. Just curious what you did to the hood of your frunk? Thanks in advance
Thanks for watching! It's a paint protection film by stek. Got it done at Dynamic Tint in Tempe, AZ
Mine are 19 pounds each and cost a lot less then theirs. Signature Wheels SV503 track edition. Look them up.
No 0-60?
It's coming
@@Gjeebs tease!!!! lol. Good job!!! Thanks!
Man…didn’t fork out the $400 for titanium lugs?
You should’ve gotten the gloss black to go with the exterior accents of your vehicle.
I don't like gloss black for wheels. They have a satin black which looks really good but I already two sets of black wheels so I wanted something different.
@@Gjeebs if that’s what you’re happy with then roll with the grey…sponsorship pays dividends we see.
Great!
are you using a noise reductier for the wheels?
Where in phoenix do you go to get your car alinement done?
Have you seen their carbon fiber wheel that cost $20k?
haha yes I have. Slightly out of budget
Haha yea $80k for a set of wheels is hurtful on the wallet.@@Gjeebs
Great video! Random question about the Hankook's with the foam inserts....can you use the puncture repair sealant cans or does the foam inserts cause issues?
It causes issues for punctures. I am not sure if that would work
cap the wheel nuts for a cleaner look
Yea I am going to
you got the lightest click bait title for model Y !! LETS GO !
Is there a specific reason Tesla ships their cars without adjustable camber or is that a standard thing on most vehicles?
Most vehicles. It's more expensive and complicated to make them adjustable for mass produced cars
Great video! Does this mean you’re no longer considering a model x?
I am still considering an X. I need a second car. Also looking at used Audi etrons
@@Gjeebs that’s nice. I think that you could also consider waiting for gravity. Do you still have your m2 or focus?
The results would have been much more significant had you went with 18s
For these mods do you have to get the model y lowered or just keep it as is?
How much was the whole service cost?
Anyone know where that background is?
The lighter wheels could improve efficiency, however won’t efficiency be lost now that you can’t attach wheel covers?
These are 20" wheels. The wheel covers go on the 19's
@@Gjeebs ah that’s right. I’m excited to see what kind of speed and efficiency gains these get you over the regular 20s.
Just got our 2023 MY and not loving it. Ride is rough here is LA. I’m coming from 2 Model 3’s 2020 and 2023. O thought this would be better the my Model 3’s. One of the reason watching since that time when you first got your MY. I took to Tesla twice already and they said is normal. What would you recommend or suggest. Thank you,
Love all your videos…
I have a great solution coming for you in about 3 weeks. Stay tuned
I have the same problem. My model 3 is a much more pleasant drive, and, unsurprisingly, handles better. Frankly, I think the problem is the 20-inch wheels. Or a lot of the problem. As soon as these 20-inch tires wear out, I'm going with either 19" or, more likely, 18" wheels and tires. IMHO, 20 inch wheels only exist because people like the looks. I like the Hankook Ion tires. I'm going to look them up and see if they come in 18". Probably.
How much is the window tint in the car side windows and windshield?
What about MVH ? was the ride quieter ? Smoother ?
Quieter and smoother
What are the tire dimensions? Specifically looking for sidewall size and tire width
Here are the rim dimensions: 20x9.5 - ET+35 - 5x114.3 Here are the tire dimensions: 255/40 R20
What are you seeing in terms of efficiency differences?
I haven't tested it yet but I will soon in a video
18" wheels are lighter, more efficient with a smoother ride.
Yes but they look silly on the Model Y. Some people want the best of both worlds. Looks and efficiency.
Gjeebs, what's the aero situation with the UP-03s? Are they more, less, or the similar in efficiency to stock Tesla wheels?
Should be more efficient but I will test this in a later video
They don't look as aero wheels, I think they are less efficient at high speed
@@kleallen Before seeing data, I tend to agree.
Will they offer a front camber arm?
They already offer it (FUCA) on their website
@@Gjeebs Thanks, do you have them on your model Y, if not would you consider installing them to reduce tire wear? I never get more than 15,000 miles on the tires of my 2022 standard model 3. I rotate tires every 2500 miles.
Get te37s and call it a deal
I noticed my rear passenger side tire gets worn like crazy.
Getting these camber arms would that fix this? And do those fit the model 3?
Yep that will fix that on the model 3 but you need a shop to do the alignment. Unplugged may be able to help you find a shop if you can't go to them
Yeah, most people will have to buy a set of camber arms to fix the tire wears.
If you don’t put alloygators on those wheels…
I’m going to be so sad for you when you eventually hear that scraping sound.
haha I've never curbed a wheel in my life I don't plan on starting now
What’s up with your hood bro😅😅😅 it looks like this car is ready for the circus show😂😂😂😂
My god those are expensive
Not a super big fan of the rim design... If I saw you drive by I would just think you have the hubcaps off on the free wheels
21lbs is light but not the lightest. There’s 18lb 18” that I had on my 3.
Why are you comparing an 18" wheel to a 20?
First one here!
Wayyy to go goober
The Apex VS-5RS are still lighter. My 18x 9.5 are 18.3 lbs each
Right they are an 18" wheel these are 20's
What are the Unplugged 18"x? wheels weigh? I noticed they do NOT say on their website@@Gjeebs
10 lbs wouldn't make any difference on the 4000 plus lbs vehicle.
It’s unsprung mass. Also it takes more effort to rotate and/or stop heavier wheels. Yes, it makes a difference.
First!
informercia....l Your talents are wasted here
bro take those hideous wraps off ur car, looks tacky
I’m not giving you any crap. Just saying it’s ironic to get light wheels and expensive tires for efficiency to save money when you can just get cheap tires to save way more money.
I think the point is efficiency not saving money. It’s kind of a personal challenge to get the most efficient operation. Not rational in financial terms, but what is?
What is the point of efficiency if not money? Just for street cred?
Personally I don't like the M3 and MY design, looks egg on wheels. Time to redesign Tesla.
What size of tire 🛞 are you using?
20" factory size with 35 offset so it sits flush with the fender without ruining efficiency.
$4300 for this with tax? HAHAAHHAHAHA HOLY HELL
Did the lighter wheels increase your range?
I am going to test that
@@Gjeebs very interested in the results!
