3:40 “The size of the game may be up to 150 stages” I have a theory about this. Perhaps in the demo, there was only one star to collect in every stage. Naturally, if this guy was to assume that every level would follow the same rules, they would all have one star. This also tells me that someone from Nintendo told this man that there would be 150 stars in the game. That’s interesting, because they added in 30 extra stars in the DS port. They mostly revolved around gimmicks like switch stars and character power flower abilities though, so I do wonder where the original extra 30 would have been.
In demo, you was able to get 2nd star in Rocky Moutain (Whomp's fortress) and in Snow Slider (Cool, Cool Moutain) (i think 3 stars in RM) by: floating isle (changed to be in cage) and small penguin.

The Shoshinkai footage even shows some more levels cut from the game altogether too.
The "HAAAAUGH" stock voice when Mario double jumps, bonks a wall, or loses contact with a ledge really do resemble some of Chris's vocal noises from that LP.
2:40 Considering the fact that there's an obvious jump-cut in the gameplay, as well as the fact that the sound plays in the room for the first Bowser room, I'm pretty sure this sound effect was meant to play whenever you entered a room that had a Bowser boss fight in it.
