Basically all games in this list fell in the dark, brown and orange hues, the era of "we're grown up now, we don't like colored and bright games", when that game Eternal Sonata appeared out of the blue my TV almost exploded, the only colored and bright game. I liked that one you control the cursor, looks abstract and smart.
Man this is why the PS3 is my favourite console. Such a vast array of games to choose from and developers still took chances and risks to make unique games. And a lot of the games are still cheap to buy.
This has happened so many times with many of my favorite games. Spider Man Shattered Dimensions for the ps3 for example gets nothing but slight it seems. I thought it was a fuckin blast. Every second of it. Don't trust reviewers. Check your gut

After the great comeback that Namco is on, with Tales of Arise, Ace Combat and Elden Ring, I really hope they find a way to bring back Ridg Racer. ( A Remaster of Ridge Racer V, like they did for Ace Combat 5 )
Yeah sick and then hopefully capcom will look at tales of arise and think "oh ghee maybe breath of fire could use some of that treatment?" I doubt it but i can dream...
i am truly glad el shaddai is on pc now. Been wanting to play it for a while, although a game i do feel is forgotten is Yakuza Dead soul. People actually thought i mixed up Yakuza and Dark Souls and that personally makes me sad

Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard is so grossly underrated. It might not have been the best game ever mechanics wise, but the story is nostalgic and funny for gamers in their 30s/40s. The fact that it’s so self aware as a video game adds to the humor too. It’s nice to see it on a list like this for a change......
I never heard about Wet, but it looks awesome. Like a mix of Max Payne, Tomb Raider and Jet Li: Rise of Honor. I wish they made more games with those movements and animations.
I love Alpha Protocol. It's a game where your decisions truly affect the story. On a side note, a game I feel it's quite overlooked is Binary Domain: pretty great TPS with a grippy and interesting story (it's made by Ryu Ga Gotoku, the devs of Yakuza games). If you can't find it on Ps3 or Xbox360, it is available on Steam.
Eternal Sonata is a beautiful game full of classical music vibe making a most own for me. Child of Eden is a game that deserves to be PSVR. I’m also a fan of Ridge Racer but I never tried Unbound, I might give it a try. Great video and great videogames!

It's videos like this that makes me sure I choose wisely when subbing a while back. All games (except Fuse) I've played and enjoyed as much as you apparently had (On Xbox 360 mind you). Just the sheer description of Dark Void is so spot on. It was easy for everyone to jump on the hate train and shit all over the game. But you get it. It's so refreshing to see people going under the surface of the immediate experience and just enjoy it with the mindset of what the developers actually wanted to do. God these games brings back memories. Thank you. Still have everysinge one in the collection(again except Fuse, which I will have to try and find for the PS3)
I just got Valkyria Chronicles on PC a couple weeks ago. Binged the hell out of it, already put 40hours in. Didn't expect to like it that much since I'm no strategy game fan. I'm so glad I got it and VC4 in a bundle, so I can have something to play after I 100% the first game.

Fuse is pretty much what Mass Effect would be without the RPG mechanics and biotic/tech powers IDK, I wasn't impressed when i played it lol but Binary Domain that was actually awesome, really good weapon handling, accuracy, squad mechanics all that even the difficulty gets harder but eases you into it as you go, there's always some hard obstacle but not impossible to pass, at least that's my take on it hell I was bored when i played binary but jumped in thinking this'll suck probably and it ended up being one of my fave games of the cycle lol that same thing happened to me on Fallout 3, w3ent in with a low opinion and ended up loving it and New Vegas lol
I've played Fuse, it's okay. It scratches that itch when you already replayed the Mass Effect and Uncharted trilogies in the same year and the only console you own is the PS3. :) Spec Ops: The Line is a better itch-scratcher though. Same thing, but it adds an interesting morality tale to the mix.
fuse was a very solid game i found out about the game with a demo in the xbox store and later on i bought the game years went by and i completely forgot about it until a few weeks back highly recommend the game
Ignore the hater. Wet is a fairly generic shooter wrapped in a 1970’s grind house blanket. The music is great rockabilly. My suggestion, as someone who owns it on PS3 and Xbox is turn the sound down. The constant sound of bullets firing gets annoying. It’s fun and cheesy but it’s based on grind house films so that’s why the other guy hates it.
I own a huge collection of PS3 games and some of them you mentioned I have play before so I might go back and replay them again. Gonna have to hunt down Blades of Time. Thanks for the video!
This has to be the 3rd or 4th TH-cam channel I saw, that at LEAST recognize Child of Eden. Ironically of almost all games mentioned in the video, that game is still on sale and backwards compatible with the Xbox up to this day, despite being a licensed game.
I find myself going back to my ps3 at the moment, as I'm fed up with waiting for ps5 stock, and good titles to go with it. Will defo give alpha protocol and Matt Hazzard a go, love a decent single player game 👍
Blades of Time is a remake and retold version of X-blades. Not sure why they didn't just make a sequel but I guess it's fine since it makes two different stories and timelines. Thanks to your videos, I appreciate the games on your lists that I still have.
This console is even better when jailbroken. I love to have more functionality - compatibility on my favourite PS1 and PS2 games (ofc, I can also emulate them on my PC since it is a powerhouse, but I like the extra function out of my PS3, it's more fun that way)

Alpha Protocol is great, once you upgrade your character it gets better and better, I wanna get some listed here like Dark Void, I got Fuse and haven't played it yet but thanks for your feedback, that's what I like of your videos, you are not like the others that talks what the general media says

Stranglehold is one of my favorite games ever. I still have my og hard boiled edition. Kicking myself for getting rid of my copy of wolverine as the price for them now is getting up there.
Even better, it was actually a spiritual successor to Rez. Alas, while I love Rez to bits, I couldn't get into Child of Eden as much, mostly because the first-person view (as opposed to Rez's third-person) makes it harder to understand when you've been hit. It's still a great game though.

Eternal Sonata is so good, that imho it is the best JRPG on PS3, I enjoyed playing it than most of other JRPGs on that platform. And it was really hard to find it too. I regret selling the game. Hope there will be a PC port to allow more people try that wonderful game that still looks great (thanks to cell shading and + interesting battle mechanics).

Watching this video was actually my first time looking at the game in action and i nearly lost my shit; it looks amazing! In short, i just ordered a copy off of ebay right now lol
I have all of these except for Ridge Racer. And Matt Hazard, I tired to play once but for some reason the camera kept drifting up or down, and it isn't my controller since it's works fine with any other game and still works fine. A suggestion to add is Turning Point or Area 51 Blacksite. Not good games but definitely forgotten.

Right after you mentioned Blades Of Time, I found a used copy of the game for $10 in a Playstation 3 aisle in my neighborhood. I heard its a mess, buggy. The Switch version has been stated its broken along hasn't fixed any issues. Any thoughts about Blades Of Time? Play or Pass?
FUZE was forgotten because they idiotically changed it from a fun comedic game everyone wanted to a grim dark shooter after using a testing group of 14 year olds that thought its humorous tone was not ADULT ENOUGH. It was criminal what they did with that game.
Dark Void had the potential but just didn't quite deliver. If I recall the controls were quite bad and I only played a few hours of the game because of it. Maybe Capcom should be buying Bioware and having them take the knowledge from Anthem [mechanically] and rebooting the IP. I know, I know, laughable idea that won't happen. Still, I'd love to see a game really nail flight mechanics in a beautiful world with a solid story...... Eternal Sonata is an absolute gem. was going to mention taking a look at Dark Sector but that was mentioned during one of the videos. That was such a fun and solid title that far to many people overlooked. Shit a year after release they were giving away copies for under $10. real shame it didn't get love

Tried to play Dark Void on PC years ago, the flight controls were unplayable on mouse and keyboard.

And Matt Hazard, I tired to play once but for some reason the camera kept drifting up or down, and it isn't my controller since it's works fine with any other game and still works fine. A suggestion to add is Turning Point or Area 51 Blacksite. Not good games but definitely forgotten.

Man, you have a Fat PS3 those things are so ancient. Some of them can be quite rare in working condition, since the now well known GPU balling defect.

Dark Void was forgotten for a reason.
Recently got a launch PS3 console. Hoping to get Shadows of the Damned at some point, but because the recent surge of popularity in Suda51 because of No More Heroes 3, I'll have to spend at least 50 instead of the usual $20 for a used copy

FUZE was forgotten because they idiotically changed it from a fun comedic game everyone wanted to a grim dark shooter after using a testing group of 14 year olds that thought its humorous tone was not ADULT ENOUGH. It was criminal what they did with that game.

Dark Void had the potential but just didn't quite deliver. If I recall the controls were quite bad and I only played a few hours of the game because of it. Maybe Capcom should be buying Bioware and having them take the knowledge from Anthem [mechanically] and rebooting the IP. I know, I know, laughable idea that won't happen. Still, I'd love to see a game really nail flight mechanics in a beautiful world with a solid story......
