Remember when Microsoft actually attempted to expand to the Japanese market with titles like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, and some titles were originally exclusive to the console.
Those were the days.

Well now that Square Enix has ended their exclusivity with Playstation, Xbox will be getting all their games day one. Especially the new FFs.
In the 2010s the XBLA was a magical place and gave rise to the indie scene.

Still jammin' on mine! I opened it new from the box about a year ago; got the Star Wars edition from a good friend for helping their family move their home. Rediscovered some games i didn't know existed. Fantastic machine :)
This is the ONLY channel I've ever heard talk about Import Tuner Challenge! And the fact that you mentioned it put me over the moon.
I genuinely think it's one of the most underrated racing games ever made and not many Americans (at least, not the people I encounter on a daily basis) know it even exists. It's one of the most visually detailed tuning games I know of; allowing you more freedom and variety than any American tuning game I can ever remember seeing. A game where every individual upgrade can be seen not only under the hood, but even in the gauges you add to your dashboard as they become FUNCTIONAL readouts that display on your HUD! I love the realism of your NOS only refilling when you pull over into the parking garages and how you interact with other racers there. And although ITC only gives you access to two or three sections of the Shibuya highway at different times of day, it somehow endures you to the world instead of making it feel stale. The familiarity that comes from driving the same highway night after night coupled with the way you get to intimately know the other tuners and what's going on in their lives makes you feel like a part of a community; like this part of Tokyo is your home.
You brought back a lot of great memories for me. Looking forward to seeing Midnight Cinderella. Bumping into Crimson Boy. Spontaneously challenging people on the highway to races in my sleeper Nissan Skyline (once I was able to afford it)...
A wonderful game that deserves a remake that will never happen.

Sen ia not the first 3D Samurai Shodown title. Two were released on the hyper neo geo 64 in 1997 and '98, and one was on the PS1.
I absolutely adored my 360 other than the Red Ring problem. My friends and I all got the 360 and played online together which we didn't do with the OG Xbox. It also allowed me to play Halo 2 and Crimson Skies on Xbox Live which I didn't have the opportunity to do before that generation

Tenchu Z and the Godfather were some of my favourites.
It's crazy how many AA games were out there that had great ideas but were held back by a bigger budget or longer development time.
Most of these would be hits today if they could be remade.
Would love to see them make a comeback!

I know it's just a card-playing game, but I really miss Full House Poker. Playing with your avatars in different settings along with the card tricks you can gain made it a solid entry for the port.
Joy Ride Turbo is super fun as well, I bought it for $1 before the store shut down, these ideas with the avatar were really good on xbox.

Nice collection of games here. I think Ridge Racer 6 is backwards compatible on current gen xbox consoles.
AWESOME VIDEO!! I remember playing Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom. I enjoyed playing as the Dracula like dude. Also Crimson Alliance was fantastic little Gauntlet like Game it was a XBLA Game. Xbox 360 you were among the best console with your games and Xbox Live Arcade Games. that too this day I still play...Gonna miss ya old friend!

Ninety nine nights 2, Ninja Blade, and Kingdom Under Fire were some gems on the 360. Long live the 360

Samurai Shodown Sen is actually the second 3D game in the series, the first being Warriors Rage on PS1. It's notable for having a lot of unique characters with good designs that would've been better served in the main series.
Another excellent list TVGS! I never heard of Hybrid before. Looks like a solid cover/shooter. I gotta pull my Import Tuner Challenge out of the backlog and give it a go. Thanks for the great content.

Kingdom Under Fire isn't too expensive to purchase if anyone is interested. The highest price I've seen goes for under $30.
Samurai Shodown Sen was not the 1st entry in the series in 3D, we already had a Samurai Shodown 64 on the faded Hyper Neo Geo 64 in 1997, and a sequel in 1998 that was ported on PlayStation in 1999, so it's technically the 4th entry 3D game in the series.
Hybrid looked quite interesting and I didn’t know ImportTuner Challenge was essentially TokyoExtremeRacer. I’ll keep an eye out for those on disk.
While I skipped the Xbox 360 to opt for the PS3 that generation (loved the PS3), there's no denying the 360 was a powerhouse and Microsoft's strongest moment in the gaming scene. They really focused on exclusives, and made the console worth investing in. Even seeing some of the games here, they looked like quality titles! Ninja Blade was one I always wanted to play! Great episode as always man!
Same here man, it wasn’t until a few years later I got the 360 and fair play it’s got its fair share of solid games 😅
You should put the game cover, these games are quite obscure.
Something worth mentioning about N3 Ninety Nine Nights is that it uses basically the same engine as Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders and Heroes, the two games before Kingdom under Fire: Circle of Doom, the game also mentioned on this list.
Also, i might be wrong, but Ace Combat 6 IS NOT possible to be bought on xbox one, as it was a preorder bonus for Ace Combat 7.
Ninety Nine Knights always seemed fun though I only tried it like twice. I had a lot of fun with Kingdom under Fire but I never finished it. Which sucks because there's a character I want to unlock but I have to beat the game as another character before I do so lol! Crimson Alliance looks pretty fun! I love Diablo clones.
Ninja Blade came out on PC, I picked it up before they removed it from steam. Ridge Racer I believe also came out on PS3. Brilliant games and an awesome video mate

It’s for sure not the best fighting game on the system, but I had fun playing it. Especially if you’re a fan of Bushido Blade!
played ninja blade on my first modern PC about 10 years ago. I had a blast cause games from that gen were something new to me after running an old PC for so long.
Also, I think there was Samurai Shodown 64, though I don't remember well if it was 3d or if the game got cancelled.
Ridge Racer 6 is not stuck on the Xbox 360. It's backwards compatible and can be bought on the Xbox One/Series store. You can also use a disc if you still have one. It was even given auto HDR support on Series consoles.
I feel like they weren't considering backwards computability when making this list because I'm sure a couple of these games can be played on the xbox one or series systems.
Having said that, Ridge Racer 7 on the ps3 is Ridge racer 6 with some extra tracks so the game isn't really stuck on the 360 anyway!
I bought a used 360 around 2008~ for Alan Wake. It was the single title I owned for the system, one I couldn’t get anywhere else (didn’t have a PC at that time). Now that Alan Wake has a remaster (albeit a lousy one), this hunk of plastic is my American Nightmare machine. I took one last spin through the 360 store but found nothing worth buying.

I don't mind QTE, but oh, boy, that game went overboard. It's better to play it with a mod that takes down the QTEs on PC.

RR6 is BC on Xbox One/Series consoles. It can be bought on US Xbox Store, I believe.

Today is another reminder of why I prefer games be released on physical media. Some of these 360 games are now officially gone forever, if you missed out on buying them then. Amongst this list, I played Ridge Racer 6 the most.

SamSho Sen wasnt the first entry in 3D since before were the 64 games (for HNG64) and Warriors Rage for PS1
Fun fact Sen was so a big failure that SNK decided to cancel the KOF Maximun Impact Series specifically the third game

I had N9 (ninety-nine-nights) in physical disk but it wasn't as fun as it seems. It takes over 1h to clear a stage and smashing buttons over and over in this game fighting the same soldier-like enemies didn't felt good, specially because they take too long to die, you have to do 3 full combos for one soldier to die, in the early levels at least, I didn't get far in the game because of this. sold the disk btw.

You can play Ninja blade on PC, so technically it's not stuck on Xbox 360
You can emulate anything on PC so technically nothing is stuck on anything.

I remember when Demons Souls was getting roasted when it first came out in Asia, and xbox fanboys were laughing about how they got the better game with Ninja Blade 😅 i still like ninja blade
