Regarding the sound: I compared this video with the Z650 video back to back and I agree the CLX sounds better. Bassier in the low end and more exciting when full throttle.
I love to see what CFmoto is doing. But between the awful dealer network, untested reliability, and all around uncertainty making it impossible to resell for any reason price, I gotta say I can’t get behind them yet. Looks amazing every time I see a bike from them so I hope they can pull everything around, but we’ll see.
I can understand that and your not the only one that feels that way. Honestly, It reminds me of how people felt when the cars from Honda, Toyota, Hyundia, and KIA arrived in the US. At one time they were unknowns and they did cater to the lower cost entry level markets. That ultimetly gave them a strong hold in that area and then they branched out to higher value products over time. Key wording would be over time. CFMoto is moving very fast and it has helped them to partner with KTM. Hopefully they will continue to build out the dealer networks and the more time they are around the reliability will be addressed and less of an unknown. Just takes time. I bought a 450SS myself as I wanted to have a small sportbike to have fun with and while the channel is First Rides focused if something goes wrong I will make sure to share it. Appreciate you sharing your opinion.
just curious, are the prices in the US the total price? 7.2k is a lot cheaper than in my country, but maybe taxes and stuff have to be added to the price in the US, whereas that's already included in the price in other countries.
Oh I wish that was out the door pricing but no. In the US we get the MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) but then get the taxes, title and all the dealer fees after. Depending on the state you buy in these are different. Roughly out the door is between 1000 and 2000 out the door.
@@MotorcycleDemoRiders ah, thanks for the reply. probably still be a bit cheaper then but not such a big difference anymore. in the netherlands the sport costs 9100 euros, or $9764. the heritage is considerably cheaper apparently, at least 1250 euros cheaper. not sure why, they seem so similar.
I appreciate you sharing that information! I also forgot to mention that it varies from county and city as well as state. That is a large markup from MSRP.
@@MotorcycleDemoRiders It is crazy too. I can drive 4 hours to Dallas and get the bike out the door for $1000 less. Stealerships man.... However, the place that is more expensive has wonderful service.
Man, I just can't get behind CFmoto yet. I would rather spend more or get something used atm. They need to prove themselves over time I think. Looks cool though.
I can understand that feeling. They are very new in regard to the us market and the dealer network while expanding isn't at the level of the big 4. That said after riding the entire 2023 and some of the 2024 bikes they are making waves in the market and from what I see pushing the industry to give us better bikes and lower costs. I bought the 450ss and I'm waiting to see what they do with the Triple and possible V4 engine in the future. Exciting times and I hope they continue to do what they are doing. Appreciate you for sharing your feelings on the subject.
I love what they are doing. Their design team is nailing it.

@@MotorcycleDemoRiders or more. Here in the Houston, TX area, these were going for a bit over $10,000 out the door.

They have actually proved themselves in atv market. They sell 60% of the atv market tho.
Discontinued for 2025?
Yeah the suspension is very stiff. Even after softening the rear shock
Appreciate you for sharing your experience with it. Definitely helps others when they are looking.
