    Good review. I’m a new owner of a 2025 Scout Classic in Sunset Red Metallic. Love it so far. Adding accessories to make it more like the Super Scout. I like the classic fenders and chrome better on the Classic.

      Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment about your experience with it. Congrats on the new ride! The color option you went with is really good looking. I agree with you on the chrome and overall look of the classic. I also love the spoked rims. Just added to the design aesthetic for me. So are you adding the windscreen and bags? or do you have other options that you're looking at also? Stay safe and enjoy the ride

    I had to update thoughts on this bike. It's leading the Twins cup race standings! Turns out there is a TON of power hidden inside this bike. 90hp and 65torque to the wheels makes for an amazing ride once you remove the restrictions. 20%+ gains WTF Check out Twins Cup Race 1 at Road Atlanta 2024. The bike is just faster straight and in the turns than the others. I give even more respect that it is doing so well in racing as well. GJ Suzuki this new model is a keeper. Dont make us wait 20years for another new one.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In the twins category it is a monster no doubt. It helps that Rocco is the rider! He is an exceptional talent. It can is absolutely more powerful than the r7 but without rocco it falls behind the rs660. But the rs660 is 2k more so take that for what its worth. Appreciate you sharing the stats as always @paulb_614 More information for others is a great thing

      @@MotorcycleDemoRiders 1st and 4th are Suzuki. RS660 2nd-3rd It's gorgeous looking no doubt. They both put the same hp to the ground but the 8r has 20ftlb lead. Probably making it the better street bike. Shoot it has 10ft lb more than the gsxr750. I hope Yamaha Pushes the R7 next year. Competition is good for us as it means progress/innovation. Torque is nice in the turns. LOL any modern bike is fast enough to get you a ticket though :)

    I have always loved the Indian scouts looks. They have gotten closer to looking like the Victory Octane which I still love. I have been on a mission to find the best beginner or 2nd bike that doesn't break the bank. I used to snob my nose at anything not making 130hp ++ lol You know my fav bike is the 750. Finding the best new bikes under say 7k new is hard as there are so many choices. As your other video stated about getting new riders, you are not going to get them to spend 10k-25k on a bike period in this economy. Most new riders wont buy used You could easily make a playlist in your current reviews for top beginner bikes you have ridden. I think you would get a lot of play going down the smaller displacement rabbit hole. Look at the mini moto segment, it is BLOWING up in the USA. Cost is a big factor imo. Honda 500's and Kawasaki 500's top my list atm. Id love to ride the Husq svart 401 but no dealer around me sells the street models(they dont want to deal with dmv I guess) Triumph 400 is interesting but its a new model and id wait a year before I jumped on that. let them sort out any bugs. CFMoto - darkhorse, dealer support, parts, no aftermarket that I see and resell. You just don's see people looking for a used CFmoto at least in my area. BUT you get a lot for the money initially. Sidenote, For $215 you can get an ECU-Based Quickshifter Kit for the Ninja 500 which makes it even more attractive to some. Thought that was cool when I saw it. Thanks for the review

    There’s a used one on offer up for 2,500 where I live at with 2,000 miles on it and it looks in good shape, however my wife’s uncle got his brand new for 3,500. I’m new to riding and I don’t have my motorcycle license yet but I’m studying for the course. The Harley Davidson cruisers look sick and interest me a lot but I don’t know if they are good for beginners like me, should I just go with the Nk300?

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Honestly 2500 isn't bad as long as it runs well. Im a believer in starting on bikes that are cheap and simple. Ride it for a year and get a few thousand miles in. Then sell it for 2000 to 2500 and move up in cc. Its the Circle of motorcycle life. I love a harley davidson but not as a starter. You will learn a lot more from the 300nk in my opinion

    This bike is exactly in the goldilocks zone with about everything for a roadster/naked. All it needs is a decent windscreen. I'd prefer the S over the GT as well, because the nose on the latter looks rather off-putting and I've heard the lights are quite shitty at night. I own a ZX6R myself and I'm a sportsbike afficionado, but the fucking fairings on the thing are a hassle for maintenance and extremely pricey to get replaced. I think its bulky shape really suits bigger people too.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders

      Sweet spot no doubt. I liked the GT overall and would only ask for the display from that. I also love the ease of maintenance on non faired bikes. Is it perfect no but really close.

I have the 2019 XE and it's a great bike if you put another pipe and some road tires on it (goes for most bikes). Would never take it off road, but it's an awesome bike to do a bit of chill touring and riding around shitty roads with potholes on.

    It's an awesome bike. I put a Racefit Growler X titanium pipe on mine and the sound is out of this world. Also, get the revs past the 8K mark to feel the true power - below that is just chilling, which it does well also;-) The issue with hitting the chassis/frame with your knees goes away once you hang off it - the tank is great to grip with your outside knee while hanging off on the inside (still suggest some tank pads though - but that goes for all bikes).

    Awesome Review! Like the new intro of you standing behind a bike talking about it and then showing the Height! Would you recommend this or a Kawi Z400/500 for a beginner rider but little more experience (600 miles post MSF) …. Or the 300NK? Love your Channel and keep up the great work! Appreciate you for the feedback always! For shorter riders I like the rebel for its price point. Most will keep it for a season or 2 and sell it and get a bigger model. A slightly used 400 is a great option for riders around my height and I would go with that over the 300nk. The selling point for the 300nk is the price. But I would go with the 450nk if I have a little more cash available. Hopefully I can get to try one as I have never had the privilege. I like the design of the vitpilen 401 alot.

    I think you're on to something, and it's a good topic. I don't necessarily think younger people are more risk-averse, as much as there are more popular (and affordable) things the proportion of those who are comfortable taking risks are able to do: e-bikes especially. I wonder if someone has studied views on risk across "generations", I'd bet it's similar. If other countries are an indication, many young people still ride motorcycles and scooters for transportation. Price definitely doesn't help. Manufacturers and dealers got high on the supply chain, chip shortage, and impulse-buying excuses to mark up during the pandemic, and instead of returning to before where you could walk out at MSRP or below, they're short-term focused on profit and trying to make the $1200-$2000 fee markup on every bike the expectation. The CFMoto 450SS seems popular among the younger crowd, but like you mentioned, how many people have $7600-$8800 out the door (real prices I've seen people pay) on a $5700 MSRP bike? Dealers should realize that a repeat customer is more important than maximizing profit on every deal, especially "starter bikes". Related to risk and price is traffic. It's gotten much heavier, driven in part by the jobs consolidating in urban areas. Investment in public transportation would provide an option for people who don't need to be on the road, and allow more people to want to commute by motorcycle on less jammed roads. I'm sure healthcare and motorcycle insurance not being ruinously expensive would encourage people as well. One issue that I personally can attest to is the lack of mechanical knowledge. I had to learn pretty much everything on how to maintain my bike when I started 4 years ago. I think manufacturers innovating simpler machines would help younger people adopt more - a modern motorcycle is pretty similar mechanically to one from 40 years ago, and intimidating for someone who wasn't taught to fix things. I think sharing with others still helps. Ease people into the steep learning curve. I wish I had smaller-scale ideas on how to get more people riding.

As you say make the first bike purchase for people very easy and cost effective and they will be back in a year to buy the next bike with a much higher profit margin. Maybe we need to crowd fund and motorcycle dealership that doesn't make any money just breaks even in bike sales lol.

      I love the ninja 400 but I'm frustrated by the "Ninja 500" or what they should have called the Ninja 450. I can tell you that I bought the 450SS I rode in this video because I loved it that much to add to my bike collection. I have pushed it fairly had for 2500+ miles and haven't had any issues with it personally. I doubled up on the oil changes (600, 1200 and 2400 miles) to be safe but to also check the oil and for metal shavings and haven't found or had any issues with it. I liked the performance and the look of the 450SS. Just my personal experence with it but I know that since CFMoto is relatively new to the US Market and the stigma of being a "Chinese bike" can play a factor and I respect that. From what I understand they took away suspension travel in the front and the rear and a lower profile seat. I would imagine this could be achieved with the other models also. Since its more of a road bike losing a little travel on the suspension really isn't a big deal in my opinion but really comes down to what you want to do with it.

    Interesting...I too worry about this. I started riding at 14 and now 65. Back then we all went dirt bike racing. MX, Enduro etc Then onto the road with years of experience already under our belts. But now, in Australia, it seems to me us oldies are against the very thing we did back then. Prohibited to ride dirt bikes in so many places now. And then moving onto getting the motorcycle licence in Australia is costly and difficult with many restrictions. The government, I believe actively discourages new riders. And for us long time riders the increase of road penalties via speed cameras and hoon laws has made the road riding far less enjoyable to point where people don't. And would rather go to track days or the local drags.

    • @MotorcycleDemoRiders
      @MotorcycleDemoRiders 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Dirt bikes, ATV's, Self-made go-carts. We did all of the things when we were younger that are actively discouraged today because of noise or safety. And I do understand that it wasn't safe and honestly I rarely had any gear that would have protected me in those days but it was a different time. Getting a motorcycle license in the states is relatively easy compared to what I've heard of overseas. In Illinois it as simple as a $30 permit test which is like 15 questions and you can miss 2. Pass an you can now ride in a group with a fully licensed person or if you have a friend with a 250cc just go right out and to the parking lot test and now you can go buy any bike you want. Even as someone who has ridden most bikes I don't particularly like that very much for obvious reasons. I feel that its more safe now than its ever been. Gear is better, bikes are better but I think there needs to be a better resource for individuals that want to learn to ride but in a safe and controlled environment free of judgement and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Or maybe I'm just crazy lol. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on it. I know that none of us want to see motorcycling continue to decline.

    As the previous poster said, it’s a variety of new skills for someone used to driving a car… the fear of stalling out making a left turn in traffic, the fact that the front and rear brakes need to be managed independently and completely different from a car, leaning vs counter steering are also new skills foreign to a car driver, downshifting and rev matching, dropping a bike and having to potentially pickup a 500 pound bike seems daunting to a newbie…. That said, new technologies like airbag vests and level 2 armor and riding pants make things safer for a newbie rider to gain their first 2500-3000 miles of riding… that first couple of thousand miles is where so many of the basic skills are learned and build the foundation on. I am a newbie rider, I have gone thru many of these initial riding fears and work to progress my skills!

      You are right! All of the different things that are needed to make a motorcycle work can be daunting for someone thinking about riding. Even a 400lbs motorcycle can seem like a lot to someone starting out. I taught my kids how to ride on a 250, and they would just go around and around my small block for hours. Would set up cones for them to do, and we had a lot of fun with it. But that was just the basics. The first time at 60mph, all 3 told me after we stopped how fast it seemed to be and that it was a little scary. I told them yeah it is, but the more miles you do, the more you get used to it and feel more comfortable. Just got to get people to get to that point, and get more people on 2-wheels. I really appreciate getting the feedback on this from your perspective.

      I haven't had any issues with my 450ss and I haven't been very friendly with it, to be honest. Very hard break-in and a lot of hard riding for 2400 miles. Granted, I have changed the oil 3 times, but I'm a little obsessive about maintenance. They are relatively new compared to the rest and they are going to stumble I'm sure but hopefully they will be able to do well by there customers when it comes to warranty issues that arise for customers which from what I've seen they have but time will tell. I like the price point for the 300nk for new riders. The resale value is a question when you can buy a ninja 400 or z400 and ride it for a season or 2 and then sell it for most of your money back. I guess all I can say is I really like CFMoto and personally I think they will do well and I'd buy them personally.
