Take a ride with me and share the journey to see what it feels like to ride a specific year and model of motorcycle the first time.
Based on the year, I will only be filming motorcycles that I have never ridden before. That way, we can experience the ride together. Since it is difficult to get access to motorcycles to ride for the most part all I have is 5 to 10 minutes to prepare for a specific bike before I ride it and will only be able to do so for 20 minutes, so I will have limited time on most bikes but more than enough for me to get a raw first impression.
Learning to ride, new riders, and experienced riders all have a place here. Each of us can learn from each other and can share our questions and experience together.
Personally, I have ridden hundreds of motorcycles, but I really want to see more people riding and would love to share the journey with you!

They are great machines. Test rode one recently and it’s a big contender. Someone coming from R1’s, Blades and the like, I loved my Vmax and this is a combo of the 2 styles.
It's a good bike, bat is not for tall men.
I am not tall, but I am 6 feet and it was comfortable for me, super awesome seat I gotta say and great relaxed upright position, not sure if you are taller what that would do
slanted handlebar frame is negative to add risers. Why is that done ? You know how much it costs to import from Germany ? ?
i see back a bit so if your 6' tall or 180 cm its more uncomfy on your legs ! Can they be moved ?? Can I get a higher seat ?
the pegs are the same position as speed twin 1200 ? seat height same ? ; sure would be nice for a 3rd party comfy seat !! even 3cm more padding to make it higher.
Super bro ❤❤❤❤ Nk300 my favourite bike and my dream bike
Thank you for taking the time to comment! I greatly appreciate it. What is it that you like about the bike?
What is the current price of this bike?
This was listed at 8k if memory serves correctly but I believe it sold all ready.
The cheaper and more fun version of that bike is the police variant. I just picked up a 2007 for $2K. It's needed some work to cover the abuse and neglect of previous owners. But it has the police enhancements, like that oil cooler fan under the headlight, short gearing, and whatever juju they did to engine management. Doesn't burn or leak oil. Fine handling at any speed.
The Versys is more of a sports/Touring bike. The LT version's saddle bags are hard & removable.. Have you tried a Kawasaki KLR 650? They are more of a V-Strom adventure bike style.......I think you are trying to say it's a daily commuter. But, if you take the traction control of it can be a little flicky (A little fun in the twisties..) & do wheelie. But, it's not a Ninja.
i like bike vids man your welcom for the like
Thank you! Me too!
@@MotorcycleDemoRiders ty for replying to me
@@MotorcycleDemoRiders 🤗🤗🤗🤗💘❤❤❤❤❤ keep up the good work
Short legs and short arms not a good fit. Got it.
He’s not that bright riding in a tee shirt, only saying, Great bike
Lol nope not that bright at all but I was comfortable. Sometimes a jacket just won't do.
5'9 220? geeze dude better check that blood pressure.
So far this is the only slightly negative review regarding this bike. I'm not sure I trust his opinion.
I don't blame you, I wouldn't listen to me either, lol. No, just how I felt about it. I just have the affinity for the speed twin myself. Like i said, no complaints about it. It really just isn't the version I would go with.
Loved your video. Torn between this and the Z900RS. Any thoughts to help me make up my mind?
Thank you so much for the comment! My apologizes for the late response. Both are really good bikes. Power is similar but the Z900 has more top end while the Torque on the Speed Twin is better. While both have a classic styling look the Triumph I find to be just a bit better looking. Z900RS is cheaper and feels a little more sporty but the Speed Twin for me is the better at providing the classic look overall while still providing a very enjoyable ride. While its all personal preference in the end I couldn't fault anyone for choosing the Z900RS, I would buy the Triumph myself.
You are spoiled, you never rode a ridged frame 1948 Harley
You are right of course. I haven't had that privilege but would love to try one. Just a different experience. How long until it becomes unbearable?
Lol, you better get some gas, dude. Thx for the demonstration in a short, though
Got to keep the wieght down lol. No I was stressing during the ride thinking I may run out of gas lol
Good video 👍👍
Thank you for the comment. Means the world to me. What is it about the Tuareg that interests you the most?
Nice bike...sat on one at that same dealer last year. Just no close dealers near where I live in Madison, WI. So I ended up purchasing a Suzuki Vstrom 800DE. But the aprilia had all the features the vstorm doesn't like tubeless tires and cruise control and less weight. Still I"ve been pretty happy with my purchase.
I remember when I bought my rsv4 rr from Texas. Had it shipped up and the worry was the same. Thankfully had no issues with it at all. Have you found anything about the 800de you don't like?
A cool bike, but $5000? Nah.
Never looked into this bike. I assumed it had the same engine as the RS but not the case watching your ride. It looked like a dog, maybe 50-60hp. There is so much competition in this 9k-12k. Pretty sure this is the loan bike that is tubeless. Comfort looked good!
Everything about this bike screams off road to me. This compared to the 23 Tenere 700 which I've ridden but not on camera sadly I would go with Tuareg. And yeah going from the Tuono 660 this was way slower. Don't need the top end power off road so the power would be perfectly acceptable in that environment. One of the best stand up ride positions I've felt and the seat was pretty comfortable for a short ride. I am glad that they made this as it is way more off road focused from the factory than most of the competition.
Got mine 5 days ago. Seat feels good for about an hour, then...... not so much. Neutral is easy to find, but the green N lights up when it's not actually in neutral. Kind of embarrassing at a stoplight. Other than that it's a hoot to ride. I got mine for $6,100 on '24 closeout. Well worth that money.
Appreciate you for sharing your impressions on it and wow that is a great price you scored. I hope you have many safe and enjoyable miles with it. If you have any issues in the future please share them as it is so helpful for others that may be interested in it. Stay safe and thanks again
Love my Tobacco Fade ST, favorite bike so far and I've had choppers, Dynas and Road Glides. Also 62 now 😮. Awesome bike.
I live in south africa and the bike is 3500$ at new, is it worth getting as a new rider? I want to learn how to ride properly but im pretty disappointed about the speed..
For 3500 I don't think its a bad price. I would look at the cfmoto 300ss if its available in south Africa also. Its a bit better on the tech side in my opinion. Either way both are great options to learn with and gain experience. Stay safe and welcome to the start of your 2 wheel journey.
I think I have a new negotiation point here in the US. 😅
It's not an adv, bike. Its more considered sport tourer/ roadster.
I would agree with that assessment. I thank you for taking the time to share your opinion on it.
Was really torn btwn this one and the Yamaha xsr900. Ended up going with Yamaha. More options for the money.
I may feel the same way but since yamaha has a no filming policy I haven't been able to try one as of yet. I love triples and no argument from me regarding the fact that the xsr900 is better equipped. Hopefully I can try one at some point.
got mine maui,,30K out the door zero options cash
Thank you for sharing the otd price you paid. Its definitely not cheap but if you love it then thats all that matters in the end.
I've bought a lot of bike from hanksters.. it's a great place and Hank is cool as hell.. See you soon for another bike buddy..
a expensive bike (middle?) on 2023/24 and have that dash that looks cheap? Thats sad, there are motos of 300 CCs or 400 with a better dash than this. Beautiful bike but they need to step their game up
If history is any indication, i doubt they will ever make improvements to the sv650. They seem to be all in on the new ptwin 800s. Which don't have the same character that the sv has. They are fine machines but not for me. I would rather buy an sv even without the tech. Personal preference of course. Would be nice to get a tft and some additional tech without a doubt. And yes my 450ss has more tech and is better equipped than the sv650.
I love mine!
I am thinking about upgrading from a 2021 DS to the 2023 DSR. The 2024 DSR are lower and 100lb heavier. Made more for the road than offroad
I have a K&N intake, exhaust michellin tires. And use premium fuel. Its just enough power to have fun
Never rode one but Iv always wanted one hopefully someday 😢
I highly recommend trying it. Doesn't need to be a new one. Hasn't been alot of changes in years. Amazing machine
I think Harley's are overpriced and they have zero beginner bikes to get people into the brand. I am thinking it is intentional since they have one made in India. It sells for $2,700 there. Harley's look cool and offer a nice ride, but their demographic is shrinking fast. Avg age of Harley riders is probably the highest of all brands. 20k-40k is steep.
No doubt about those factors when it comes to HD. They should spend time to develop bikes that are more price friendly options as well as making bikes that will appeal to the younger demo but if history is any indication that then upsets the die hard HD buyers and they scrap the plans. Which is crazy because the Pan America is an amazing machine and its competitively priced and is just as equipped if not better against the competition. So its not like they can't do it. The nightster and new sportster are really good bikes but to expensive. Hell I just took out the 24 CVO Road Glide ST. Give away the video a bit but its amazing. Amazing Comfort, Quick and Agile(Even more so when you look at its size), Fully adjustable suspension, Great Tech Package but its $43K. Which is out of the price point for I'd say 95% of riders. Most of these features can be found on bikes for 15k with the exception of comfort because no lie its one of the most comfortable things I've ever ridden. As an older rider I don't want them to die but unless the culture can shift by corporate and old HD riders changes they probably will sadly.
@@MotorcycleDemoRiders Honda Goldwing is 25k, has all the comfort and reliability. 300-500k miles easy and an engine to die for in this category. Harely's are a status thing for rich guys anymore. Like spending 300k on a car, it's a status thing. Price is going to get new people out riding. I think Triumph was onto something with that $4999 price point honestly. Harely needs to wake up, because I like how they look. I don't want to finance a bike though and most would have to do a 10year loan or something.
Your laugh makes my day. I feel myself
Thank you! I am glad you found the video and it provided you with enjoyment!
I got 1 and i love it
My 24 Vulcan S has a delkavic exhaust, and I love it! It's the first motorcycle I've ever ridden (42 yr old) and I am having the time of my life on it. Its fast enough to gave fun, but not so fast im scared. Also, it didn't break the bank and the insurance is cheap. Its been the best mid life crisis toy ever 😂
I thank you for leaving this comment and good choice as a "mid life crisis toy" in my opinion. It is a very enjoyable machine and yeah they can be had for good prices. I've been fortunate in my life to ride the entire spectrum of bikes from 200hp monsters to 8hp bikes and for me they all are great in their own way but in the end the freedom and joy is the same.(One just arrives a little faster than the other) Keep riding and stay safe on the roads! Thanks again for sharing your journey
Может быть. Когда-нибудь.
Wonderful Color - I wonder how the bike would look like, if all the fenders and the little side-panel also would be in this color - maybe we will see on thronton hundred, or on my future bobber. I am so looking forward to that bike. Around 1 Month to wait. The bike makes you feel enjoyable fast and chill when driving around 100kph, while still being able slow you down. My Street Triple started to bring a lot of fun when driving 120kph and faster. With the bobber I rented I could also go 70 to 90 and have loads of fun. Girls/Guys: If you like the look, the sound and the "approach" Triumph is trying here: Go testride one. You have nothing to lose, except for the money if you buy one afterwards. Just like me.. haha :)
Appreciate you for taking the time to share your feelings and for sharing the custom builder info. I looked them up, and they are doing some really cool things. I really like the stealth color options this year on the different models. The bobber style, while not for me personally, will be a perfect match for others. I personally match with the street triple and speed twin 1200 myself. But I wouldn't know that unless I ride them!
Would it be comfortable enough to travel with it ?
I applogies for not seeing this comment sooner. I personally wouldn't want to travel for long distances on it. Comfort would be lacking a bit for me. Could it be done absolutely. A friend of mine tours a lot on a ZX-6R which I find insane personally but he does it. I used to do the Sports Touring Bikes but I've moved to the more comfortable Indian Challenger now. Its all subjective in the end. Everyones body is different and can handle things differently.
That yellow tank looks perfect for this bike.
I'm not a fan of yellow in general but yeah it does work well on this bike.
I’m toying with this as an upgrade from my Meteor 350 which is just a tad underpowered. I love the look, and don’t want anything super quick
Solid upgrade! Double the power output from the 350 but still not stupid power. Comfort is good. Definitely would recommend taking one for a ride and I think you would like it. If you do would be interested in how you felt about it.
I love the looks the red is a killer however I'd love to buy the bike but really the price ridiculously overpriced sorry no sale way overpriced.
It is expensive versus other bikes without question. What do you think would be a good price? I think 12k would be reasonable. I would put the Nightster at 9 or 10k.
Cruise control?
No sadly it doesn't have cruise control.
Beautiful bike 😍
A lot of great used bikes out there. You missed your famous side shot sitting on the bike.
Absolutely! Yeah, I went old school on this one. I wasn't planning to ride anything that day but I generally always have my helmet and camera with me but I didn't ride the new Himalayan because I didn't have all my equipment, but I will get back out soon to ride it.
Try the tiger 800 2018
If I find one to try, I absolutely will! I am a huge fan of the Tiger 900 as I feel it meets the needs of a touring bike overall better than the larger ADV bikes. There is a point that more power isn't needed or usable for most riders.
I rode one but not far. Put a huge smile on my face. I thought it was a rocket with wheels. I wouldn't buy one. I'm old school.
That is a fair assessment and I respect your feelings on it. I think that HD needs to do bikes like this to attract riders coming in to the community while continuing to build what the Old School riders want. These newer style bikes aren't perfect and are still very pricey but they help to open the door for expansion. Thanks for sharing! What do you currently ride?
Damn, I have been waiting for this video. Do people like - not buy guzzis or something
Not a high selling brand by all indications. Seems to be more of an enthusiasts brand to me. I hope they continue and get more popular.
I have one. I do not have an issue with the vibration. I have put multiple 700 mile days on it. I have surpassed liter sport bike in the mountains. I Have owned a lot of bikes. Do not discount this bike as a touring weapon.
I appreciate you for taking the time to share your experience with it. It is, without a doubt, a monster of a bike and one of the most powerful sports touring motorcycles on the market and when the 1390 variant comes out it will be that much more insane. I am interested in your thoughts on this vs the Super Adventure S?
Own a '23 Tiger 900 GT Pro and have almost 9,000 miles on it. Pretty satisfied. If it ever came time to part with it, I'd definitely look to Triumph Waukesha even though I'm not local. I only got to stop in there once but I had heard good things and wanted to check it out, and the gent there was incredibly welcoming.
They are amazing to deal with and yes incredibly welcoming! The 23 Tiger 900 is a really good motorcycle. The 24 just made it that much better. Triumph seems to do a great job to make subtle improvements and modifications to enhance the ride. What other bikes are you personally interested in?
@@MotorcycleDemoRiders I like the modern retros a lot--had a chance to ride a T120 in San Diego a few months ago, and that was pretty awesome. Have to admit though the budget tells me I'm not interested in any other motorcycles!
