This is an awesome bike! I owned one for 5 months now, and oh boy. Still giving me that grin whenever I twist the throttle. Quickshifter's a bit tough at first but after the break-in period, it'll be butter. Just for everyone's info. There's a new model called CFmoto 800MT Explore. It has Traction control, more ride modes, switchable ABS (On/OFF), anti-collision radar, 8-inch TFT Screen (Touchscreen), and a lot more good stuff. Happy to see you having fun Chase!
Good review, appreciate the enthusiasm. The whistling sound is from the windshield in its uppermost position and manifests itself around 115 - 120km/h (or around 72 - 75mph). I ride with it midway and I installed an add-on (smaller) screen on top, positioned so as to ensure a laminar airflow. The turn signal lacks indeed a bit of feedback, but it always works, so just use it and have no worries. Auto-cancelling is included as well. The pannier racks come included as standard with both S and T models.
So nice I watched it twice. 😉
ADV's are great, I went from a KW Vulcan S to a YMH MT07, then to a old V Strom 650 from my dad(and I loved it) and this year I'm going to buy a bad boy like yours (CFMOTO 800MT) and set with it. Cruisers and naked's are nice, but adventures/touring have so much to offer, and the comfort...
Congratulations man! Its awesome seeing you so happy and enjoying the IBEX. Everyone is looking forward to how the ownership experience is like long term.
The Ibex looks like a well thought out design, the features are impressive. Hopefully the Ibex is like a more comfortable touring version of the 790 adventure. The KTM 790 is a blast to ride and the motor is awesome but its not comfortable for longer trips, maybe this bike will be the perfect mix.
I like this bike enough to definitely consider getting one of my own . Thank you Chase. 😊😊
OC - I was not all interested in Adv bikes when I started riding. But several years later and seeing this bike and all that you get brand new has changed my mind! Cross country riding is what I want to do and this could be a reasonably priced option for me 😁
Wow what a beautiful bike! The design is just awesome. I want one. Good job cfmoto.
I drove that exact bike yesterday and the breaks are awesome one of the best things on that bike 😊
Gotta say I never really looked at this bike until you got one! Definitely a good value proposition here...
Can we just take a second to appreciate the Shelby Cobra on the left at 20:20
I bought this bike to go along with my growing collection and it is FUN. It's very comfortable, nimble, and powerful. The powerband is in the higher RPM range and be careful hitting it in first gear... you can end up having your front wheel over your head. I'm 6'4" and the seat feels tall even for me. That may be the biggest challenge a rider has is its seat height is very tall.
I swear I watched this yesterday...? am I Trippin? mandela effect? Caught in a time loop?
I've been waiting for this review, thanks Chase.
J Juan brakes are used on the KTM 790/890 Adventure platform as well. Very apparent that there is a lot of KTM engineering on this bike. I believe the re-released KTM 790 is actually built by CFMoto. Will be watching to see how the bike holds up.
Impressive. I own a 21 Tiger 900 RP and would kill for that TFT. The Euros and Japanese must be looking in their rearviews with worry...the Chinese are catching up fast. Saw a review of the Explore and you get a hell of a lot for your money.
Congratulations on the new bike dude 😁 enjoy, hope to see more of these
Not sure if it's released in the states but in Australia we now have the 800 MT Explore edition. It's the same bike with even more features.
I just purchased the 2023 cf Moto ibex 800 s I'm loving it so far the throttle is a little snatchy in sport mode. The engine a little noisy and the heat hits your legs I wish they would've diverted it out more away from you. I hope it last for more smile miles so far I'm happy with my purchase especially for the price.
Got to demo this and all their other USA bikes. Loved the IBEX800T the most, second favorite was the NK650.
This looks like a blast! I really hope the CFmoto 800MT Explore edition is coming to the USA. Lots of nice upgrades.
Looked at a lot of ADV bikes. This one will be on my garage very soon. Cruise has been the deciding factor.
J.Juan is/was a Spanish owned brake brand which is now owned by Brembo so you’ve essentially got Brembo brakes on there 🤙🏼
Currently ride a CF Moto bike and now have to have the Ibex. OC
when I first started to read about this bike, my thought was "if this is what China was to offer, BMW is in deep trouble" the GS is the queen of the segment and the name alone is legendary, but I dont think there is much they can offer over this bike to charge twice as much.
This has definitely been on my radar. There is a little voice in the back of my mind questioning if this thing would be reliable out on the desert roads. I'd hate to get stranded. Then again, engine itself is based off the KTM one. For the price, I think I might have to give it a shot.
Yea it's hard not to at that price right?!
@@chaseontwowheels In short, how does it feel all around compared to the more premium adventure bikes you've ridden?
Had one since Feb 22 in australia, holding up well, they introduced them for 13990aud ride away with 12months registration, so about 9.5k usd, hard to ignore. Been off road a bit, no issues, very comfortable, lifts the front wheel out of corners. Had an 18 vstrom 650xt before, good bike, 800mt more exciting
Looking for a new Adv bike and never heard of CFMoto but after watching some of these videos i definitely consider this 800 MT one (Europe version). Instead of the traditional Japanese or German bikes. thanks for this review.
CO2W,
I dig the way this bike looks. I didn't know about the engine and chassis (frame) being KTM, but I am glad to hear and read about it. I read, today, CFmoto was purchased by KTM. So, this natural progression is a good idea for KTM and CF. For the $1k upgrade from the 'S' to the 'T' trim, it is more than reasonable when you find out what all comes with the upgrade as you listed. I am glad and happy for you, Chase. Good on ya'. I want to get one, but I think I will start with a mid '90's BMW R100GS first. I am a fan of the single-sided swing arm.
Hello...
I love this bike!
The J. Juan brakes are a subsidiary company that belongs to Brembo!
Almost all cruise controls are only disconnected by the on-off switch or engaging either the front or rear brakes. The system works well and is pretty universal.
Congrats on the IBEX, that's the one I'm most interested in.
oc
Very bold of CFMoto to come in with the ADV, makes me put some more thought and consideration in obtaining this or any of their other bikes.
I've got a 23 triumph tiger sport and now I wanna trade it!!!! I can't wait to see 1 in person
Is this the director’s cut?
Basically. lol
Ya i was in the middle of watching this an it disappeared 😂
Not a director's cut. Just a real dick move "buying" from one dealership and promoting another in the videos. By "buying" it's a doc fee and taxes and a free motorcycle from a manufacturer. Chase gets the CFMoto bikes from Northeast Georgia Motorsports but in the video he promotes Mountain Motorsports which isn't even a CF Moto dealer. We called him and CF Moto on it and they did the right thing by cutting out Mountain Motorsports from the video. Chase is a good guy and I appreciate him making the edit.
I can’t wait to get mine!!!
Oc
Hopefully dealership has one come June. Because I am thoroughly considering one. Closest dealer with one on hand is 2.5 hours. So when it happens gotta get the gf to drive me there and ride it back 😅
please review the cfmoto 450ss🙏🏽🙏🏽
Side luggage racks are included on both models, stock. 😊
About the breaks, J.Juan are recently owned by Brembo, equivalent to ByBre, is a Spanish hi performance breaks, even the Husqvarna Norden use J.Juan
I'd like to see a comfort comparison between this and the Norden 901
OC: I will hold out for the long-term review. I will give a golf 👏🏽 for CFM's foray into ADV; it's a great package and a new challenger that will turn heads.
How's the comfort from the seat? Coz the cushioning looks really thin
Great review. Thanks, Chase.
J. Juan is a Spanish company from Barcelona but does have 2 of their 3 factories in China. Zero uses them and I believe Kawasaki does too, I haven't seen them in many other applications outside of small brands and Chinese bikes like this but I've never felt like they were underpowered and I haven't seen any issues with them.
They are on ktms
I’m sold! My next bike!! 😊
Just put a deposit on mine today! I can't believe the features you get for the price.
How are you liking it?
Really well done ..trully are these bikes in Canada have not seen any
The crash bar should be included on T model if the dealer said they installed it for you no they're lying. It's not included on S model tho.
I have been looking for my next bike. I think you may have convinced me to get the CFMoto 800T. OC
J Jaun brakes, main plant is in Barcelona. Company is originally Italien.
Thanks for your review. Have you heard about the CF Moto 800 MT explorer that has been released overseas. It has traction control and a bunch of other features not on the adventure. I am waiting for that version to get released in the states (if it ever gets released here). What’s your thoughts on that happening.
Hey Chase! i’m looking into getting an adv bike. My current choice is buy the 2024 new of the ibex 800 T or trade in my sportster s for a 2024 pan am special. What’s the right move here?
This OC be loving it, very curious about the maintenance on it
ok but how does it perform in the twisies, versus lets say the 790 duke? :)
Oc. Chase, do you think we can get a comparison video in the future with a tiger 850 sport?
Thinking about buying one.
How are you doing the side video shots
J.Juan are KTM brakes as well
I absolutely love this bike! If I could ride again this is what I'd be buying.
Why are you complaining about the adjustable windshield? At least it's adjustable, and it adjusts just like the one on my Ducati. I probably move mine once of twice a year.
I just got the 650MT. Loving it.
You're not breaking it in?
Great video. What is the ground clearance measurement?
When are you going to compare this to the Bose triumph tiger 900 rally pro? curious because I really really like that bike currently have a 2022 street Triple RS & they share
same engine. I’m going to add an adventure shortly but the CF Moto seems to be a lot of bang for the buck ! so far, but will it last🤔
When are ya gonna do a first ride of the cf moto450ss?
OC, I am definitely interested in that machine.
Own the 2022 650. I have 8K trouble free miles on it.
Was checking out the Adventura 650....dealer has some 22 leftovers at $5200 US. Seems like a good commuter.
@@TheSirhc1975 I’ve owned many bikes. I keep them approx 2 yrs then grab another. This 650 has performed like the Yams and Hondas I’ve owned. Get one.
Awesome bike 👍
Looks like a fun bike. You should just go ahead and push it over though... get that out of the way.
Ive actually thought of doing that to get the shiny toy issue over.
Please! Review the cfmoto 450ss if you have the chance. Great video 👍
Please try the new cfmoto 450sr bro
you ever figure out that whistlin dixie, no way I could put up with that
J.Juan have been owned by Brembo for about a year I beleive.
Chase, you think CF Moto could lend you an 800 NK? That machine looks wicked good
I think the chances are high.
@@chaseontwowheels yes!!!
Man I want one!
I really think it is a good bike for the money.
Did you find out where that whistling was coming from?
Beau says it's a skid plate situation.
@@chaseontwowheels ok good to know. That would get annoying really quick lol
I'm wondering if those are tube type tires. If so it's a deal breaker, no way I'm hitting the road with ancient tire tech.
The tires are tubeless
@@fredwatson2097 According to Google they are tube type, if so rubbish.
I have owned one for a while now and assure you that they are tubeless. The tpu cannot work on tubed tires
@@fredwatson2097 I've had one for more than a year, tubeless with stainless steel spokes, akront rims
Why would cruise control be stopped by the throttle? do you guys not have cruise control in the US? you use it to overtake people and then go backt o speed
Is this brand reliable? I'm not too familiar with them.
This is a wallet bike... It fits my wallet LOL. I want one.
How tall are you?
How would you compare it to a 2019 Ducati Multistrada 1260S Touring? I am asking because I have one and it’s tuned to about 167hp. Would you get the CFMoto 800 or keep the tuned Ducati Multistrada 1260S?
Looks a lot like my 2015 NC700X DCT
Dejavu anyone? 😂
He had to add the part in the beginning saying it's called an "800MT"
Dude no way. NGM is like 10 minutes from my house
is this bike reliable ?
wait? why again?
Bruh the gloves 😂
J Juan is just a brand owned by brembo, so it is good brakes. How are you reviewing bikes for so long ignoring that ?
Do the cfmoto 450ss
Don't know why they gave him that stupid name "IBEX" for US..Its an awesome bike, ive riden it and done Review, got travelled and so on...nice bike indeed...with equipment that comes with it, in that price range, aint no better bike...
Wait what happened to the video am confused
Can we have 800T first ride every day?
Were you too honest about the bike so CF Moto made you cut out the video?
Haha naw, none of the actual review portion of the video was changed.
I think that I heard that the brakes are Italian and owned by BREMBO.
W ktm rerelasing the 790 i wonder who would buy this bike at near the same orice and 50lbs heavier.
make it an Iron Butt summer
Nice video, I have doubts about reliability, maintenance costs, write-off or value retention within a few years.... do you not agree with me that you buy a 2nd hand Jappaner than this bike? Let me know
Anyway keep movie it
Be safe
