Makes one wonder why there aren't more bat pokemon. Or beetle pokemon for that matter since they make up 40% of currently living insect species, and 25% of species overall.
A lot of this is a stretch. If making apples into bunnies is a thing in Japanese culture, then Victini probably just draws from the source. And the masquerain/snorunt connection is spurious until the last argument.
Melt probably was removed because turning a steel type into a normal type doesn’t make that much sense, and turning it into ground would jumble its immunities and resistances too much, and turning it into a rock type would make melt a bad option overall for fire types
My theory is that the Paldean professors actually went through the Time Machine and got stuck in their respective time period, but set a timer on the AI saying if they didn’t come back to turn it off, to contact Clive to start the events of the game and by the time we get to the end, have a preprogrammed message to say the professor was “killed”, and that we will end up seeing one or both of them on Legends Z-A, somehow
All things considered, I'm thinking "Scarlet" is the canon game out of the two, where Sada gets locked away in the "Past" but actually just got turned into a "Faller" like Looker, Anabel and Ingo. And the "future" aspect of Turo is him turning obsessed in bringing her back to the "future"; as there doesn't seem to be an instance of Arven talking about both his parents at the same time. The reason why I think that's the case is because most media (Masters, Horizons) seems to be using Scarlet's designs as the canon one, and there's the fact that the "time portal" barely makes sense as it is. All paradox Pokémon entries are about how it doesn't make sense for them to exist, hence the group name, instead of just listing whatever impossible things they do, and even list tabloid info as the only thing ever written about them. Might be a big stretch, but I think it is more likely for the Paradox Pokémon to be some form of Ultra Beast or "conjured up nonsense" via Terastal Energy than actual prehistoric/futuristic Pokémon.
I mean, lets be real, the main reason Sharpedo got a Mega was because it's Archies ace, same as Camerupt for Maxie. Pretty sure they even stated in an interview that they tried to give Mega-Evolutions to signature Pokemon of noteable (non-gymleader) trainers. If the reason for Sharpedo getting a Mega was that presumably it and Mawile both might've been intended to get an evolution originally, they also probably would've gotten their Megas at the same time or with some connection, yet we got Mawile first in XY, and Sharpedo only as Archies ace and as a counterpart to Mega-Camerupt. Also, the TCG-arts don't seem to take place at the same location at all, one is a white dock with cylindrical pillars, the other has brown rectangular ones, while you could still argue it's the same fisher, this clearly wasn't at the same location... and there's a very real chance it might've only been her hat that fell into the water, since none of her other gear can be seen in Basculins art.
Gotta be honest, I always saw Mega Mawile as more of an actual evo to Mawile than just "the original Pokemon but with some cool features to its design", AKA, Mega form. It really looks like it. So it makes sense to be a scrapped evo.
The reason why 'Melt' got cut probably has to do with the fact that in the long term it is a disadvantage. Melt a Steel-type, now it no longer takes SE damage from you and it will also probably have STAB Slam, Double-Edge, Giga Impact or something of the sort waiting for you. Meaning it would only actually be a good thing on a Fire/Fighting or a Fire/Ghost. Same goes for Ice type. Now it resists you, and very likely has something that STABs you. Fire/Electric would only exist on Rotom Oven, and we would be 4 generations away from Scovillain and Ogrepon Hearthflame.
Ik the second miraidon/koridon is there to trade for the alternative version. And it's a nice feature returning from sun/moon/ultra but it pretty wild that it's killed arvan's parents and you can still use it against arven himself.
Imagine if in a future Legends game set in Johto (and Kanto) they make a Johtoan variant of Victini as a callback to this beta Victini we could have got in Gen II.
Couldn't we get that in a Let's Go Johto remake? Having Let's Go Johto slightly alter the story, introduce held items into the Let's Go titles and introduce Johtonian and Kantonian regional variants for some Pokémon. They could even have some of the newer evolutions unlocked during the post game. For example, you can only obtain Peat Moss and black Augerite in the Kanto region in Viridian Forest and Cinnabar Island respectively. Different trainers from different trainers from different regions can trade you regional variants of Pokémon native to Kanto and Johto. A running gag that hints and indicates that Typholsian, Growlithe, Qwuilfish, and Sneasel regional variants are only found in the Shinoh region and this establishing the fact that Shinoh in the Let's go universe is starkly different to the Shinoh region most of us are familiar with.
8:59 I'm sorry, ALMOST IDENTICAL? They share a color scheme and, if we're being generous, a similar vibe. The shapes and details are entirely different. They don't even have the same mouth. I know you said it was speculation but you're grasping at straws here.
I caught Miaridon but I would never ever use it against Arven in battle, he's been through enough with what happens in game, it is fun battling him though and I may have messed up on purpose and gave him the win in the tournament, lol
My theory alot of the mega forms were going to be evolution for the pokemon who meed the evolutions, they just didnt want to expand the pokedex. Or wanted to keep those pokemon useless
Hope you guys enjoy this one!

Already have both! Also I’m looking forward to more pokemon crimson and ivy content!
@ thanks so much I really appreciate it!! 😄 next episode is coming this Saturday!!
Noibat having regional designs like vivillon actually makes a lot of sense considering bats have evolved on every continent except for Antarctica
Makes one wonder why there aren't more bat pokemon. Or beetle pokemon for that matter since they make up 40% of currently living insect species, and 25% of species overall.
Mawile definitely looks like they needed an actual evolution and just a mega.
There's a lot of Pokémon that only got Megas that need evolutions. Megas will only return in Legends ZA. Gen 10 will have a different battle gimmick.
It’s funny how much doubts Hoops has on a Mawile evolution considering I clicked on the thumbnail specifically because it was Mawile.
A lot of this is a stretch. If making apples into bunnies is a thing in Japanese culture, then Victini probably just draws from the source. And the masquerain/snorunt connection is spurious until the last argument.
I imagined Mawile evolving as it's jaw head had potential for growth. To me, Mega Mawile is what the evolution should've been.
The cut Mawile and Sharkpedo evolutions both look pretty cool. My favourite out of the both is the Mawile one
Melt probably was removed because turning a steel type into a normal type doesn’t make that much sense, and turning it into ground would jumble its immunities and resistances too much, and turning it into a rock type would make melt a bad option overall for fire types
12:12 in those concepts, what looks like a proto-naganadel and proto-golisopod are present

I like this!!!
I like that, but I already can hear the fans

But why though?
That would be boring, let people die in pokemon.
Cool to know that Seviper was considered to be a Fire-Type, I would actually really like seeing a Fire-Type snake Pokemon
3:25 Simpsons reference? "And one of the campers was eaten by a bear!" "Well actually it just ate his hat."
I always thought Seviper should’ve been a fire type. Lucy’s Seviper used to burn my team when I would make it to her.
3:20 or you know... her beanie fell in the water.
Couldn't wait 7 seconds?
God some of these "facts" are such stretches. The TCG one, the Snorunt being inspired by beta Masquerain. Even that Arven "fact" isnt really a fact.
NGL, beta Masquarain reminds me of Ojama Yellow from Yugioh. 😆 Melt and the connection with Noibat and Vivillion was very cool.
Wow great find regarding Ojama, didn't notice it LOL
Mawlie is one of my favorite from Hoenn so it’s interesting to know to know that it maybe was going to get an evolution
Tbh, every pokemon, minus legendaries, should have at least one evolution

9:15 bruh... what? Are you high?
For real, what are you smoking

Hoops and Hoppip lets gooo

Idk how he could have come up with this conclusion, a complete stretch on his part
@@MrJay1026 That feels like a lot of the "fact" videos he does
@@kagarisa1426 I've been noticing that too lately
The victini one feels like a stretch
Mawile honesty does need an evolution. Unfortunately it has a mega, so that dream is kinda dead.
I caught Miaridon but I would never ever use it against Arven in battle, he's been through enough with what happens in game, it is fun battling him though and I may have messed up on purpose and gave him the win in the tournament, lol

Water/Normal Alolan Sandslash after Melt
The beta Masquerain looks more like Shelgon. I thought Snorunt's beta was that sabertooth wolf looking thing.
there's a possibility that a pkmn having a mega can still evolve like mawile since duralodon having gmax but got new evo in gen 9.
1:52 that's not the sprite from the leak. Did you make sure to credit the artist?
5:00 ….. WILD
The story begins with a innocent looking typhlosion card is what you meant
👍👍👍👍
Not wild anymore I caught them
