Leaving in the takes with "Redudunsparce" and "this took me 6 takes to say" is honestly my favorite part of Wolfey videos, it makes them feel like you're just listening to a friend! I hope your videos always keep that personal touch Wolfey ❤
The tangent at 14:27 about elektross’s 3d sprite is SO REAL. That man had SO MUCH AURA back in the day, it was easily one of my fav gen 5 pokemon back in the day. Now it looks like a floating fleshlight, and I really hate its design when presented like that tbh. Idk, there’s a lot of instances of 3d downgrading certain pokemon, but this truly felt like one of the most egregious.
I absolutely disagree, the movement in the 3d model is what sets it as better for me. It looks like its actually levitating instead of just standing and its movement looks smooth and streamlined
@@Sleepysibling @Sleepysibling I will agree with the fact that the gen 5 design does look like it’s standing maybe a bit too much, but I think what you see as streamlining completely removes the bite from its design. The gen 5 design, at least for me, still very much evoked a slithering design, but the size and pose really sold the fact that it was a predator. It really felt like it earned its 2nd stage evolution status. The 3d sprite feels like they flattened it out too much, back to looking like a first stage evolution. Instead of being completely satisfied with his look, I’m left wanting for waaaayyy more than that. But that’s just me.
Surprised 'Burn up' wasn't mentioned once. Having a pure Fire-type like Arcanine use it makes it No-type, which has no weaknesses. It is a fun gimmick in Showdown to give a Burned up Arcanine Wonderguard and watch those new to the strategy struggle against an invulnerable wall.
17:53 Just a small correction I wanted to point out - Tera electric levitating pokemon are listed as being neutral to Stellar, but they are in fact weak to Stellar.
In agreement with some of the other comments: you've reached such a good middle ground with really high quality and good smooth videos, with a funny touch of the old wolfey! These videos are great.
Now I want a Dunsparce evolution where everything about it remains the same. Its base stats, design, sounds everything and it's name will be Redundunsparce.
4:52 Side note on the Eviolite boost: it's actually slightly better than just multiplying your base Defense/Special Defense stat by 1.5. At Level 50 with no EVs, Porygon2's Defense and Special Defense are equivalent to base 145 and 152 respectively.
There was another strategy like that, used for the same reason, also in gen 5, which was Female Haxorus with Rivalry. Rivalry boosts your damage by 25% if the opposing Pokémon is of the opposite gender, and the 3 genies were all male.
@@lagnuzlocke261 Not in Gen 5 Steel used to resist Ghost and Dark for a while, neutralizing all of Psychic’s weaknesses This is also a big reason why Metagross was so much better than it is now (unless you bring up the mega)

Hey Wolfe! I know you said you read all your comments, and I am the kinda person that never comments on videos but for whatever reason today I felt so inclined. I just want to say THANK YOU for all the work you and your team put in for these videos. I truly look forward to your videos of every caliber. I’ve been playing this game basically since I could form memories and it’s so satisfying to see what you have done for this community. I am not into playing competitive Pokemon myself (I dabble with showdown), but I always find myself glued to every video. I love how you brought so much attention to this community and allowed for Pokemon to flourish in media. Keep up the good work World Champ. I love to see the difference you’re making❤
Every time I hear an Eelektross mention I cheer and point at the screen. Fun fact, even though Eelektross has no weaknesses, during Multi Battles in the Battle Subway, Ingo's Haxorus has Earthquake and Mold Breaker. Because of that, he often uses the move on Emmet's Eelektross. Cain instinct.
My first guess (before watching the video) would be that no weaknesses also means NO resistances EDIT: so there is more to it than just that it seems..
I also wanna shoutout that Tera Shell also includes every hit of a multi hit attack while Multiscale only weakens the first hit but not every other one following
@ahumanbeingfromtheearth1502 I did really well on the Showdown ladder back in gen 5 singles circa 2013 using Sableye as a disruptor amd anti-lead. Bold w/ Taunt, Recover, WoW, and Foul Play. Then it lost it's ability to burn Tyranitar and it couldn't keep up with Megas, Ultra Beasts, or Tapus. But before that it carried me to the 1900s.
Open team sheets also have a massive impact on making weaknesses more manageable, tbh. And while I agree on Ghost/Dark not being the best type combination, I do like using it for pivoting, 3 immunities is great, especially in challenge runs imo.
@ Missing No is weak to fighting though. Its a normal bird type in red and blue and a normal and 999 type in yellow. Also Missing No has trash stats. Worst defense and special stats in the entire Kanto dex on top of having relativly bad speed and HP stats. The only saving thing it has is that is has the best physical attack stat in the entire game (in red and blue, it has different stats in yellow)
