  • Going into the Holiday season, Walmart is offering $300 bonus workweek extensions. Every time you extend your week by 1 day you get a $300 bonus. So essentially for the last day, you could earn your PTO plus $300.
    My goal is to help you get on the right path to a great career in trucking!
    If you are interested in driving for Walmart, please consider using me as a referral. It will put you at the top of the list to get a callback sooner! The info is below.

      Yep it's amazing what those taxes will do. Definitely anti-capitalism because it doesn't incentivize working extra if you make less. That's part of the reason why I don't do the bonus I just work extra.

    The extra 300.00 is great and with the extensions our ADP gets a boost!

    What DC you out of? I drove out of Marcy, NY (6038) and being in the northeast, we never make that much in a day. Not with going into New England and Jersey. I eventually left and went to local gas tankers.

      6826 Red Bluff California Yeah I heard a lot of that same story out that way. I know they updated the pay so maybe that made a difference but I just don't know with out there in the east. I'm just speaking About my experience out here on the west coast.

    Do some drivers just drive from DC to DC? When I was in the Army stationed in Germany I was assigned to the 106th Transportation Battalion. It was the highest milage battalion in the whole US Army at that time. Some of those drivers if they were away from their home unit for more than 10 hours they got paid TDY pay. But then they changed the way the drivers drove. They would drive from Trailer Transfer Point to Trailer Transfer Point. That really cut down on their TDY pay. The 106th was a unit under the 37th Trans Group (Red Ball Express). I was a truck driver for the first 8 years I was in the Army. But they had so many truck drivers that the cut off scores to make Staff Sgt. were very high. So I changed MOS's and then came down on levy for Germany and got assigned to a real Transportation unit. But I wasn't a driver any more. Ironicly the very month I made my Staff Sgt. rank, the cut-off for my old MOS dropped down to where I would have made promotion by 29 points. I was a whole lot happier as a truck driver than I ever was under the new MOS.

      As far as I know we don't have anybody that drives exclusively from DC to DC. Although we do drive to a lot of different DCs in are work week but along with that we're also delivering stores and picking up backhauls.

    Hi Don, can you do a weekly breakdown of pay/miles at the end of your week?

    • @20plustrucking
      @20plustrucking  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      About 2 months ago I did about 30 days worth of miles and pay at the end of each day. I don't usually talk about exactly what each activity pays specifically because I know management may not be fond of that. Usually my miles are between 2000 to 2700 each 5-day week. Right now my ADP which stands for average days pay is $451.92. Like I talk about in my videos that could vary from season to season but at the end of the year it works out to around $100,000 a year working a 5 on 5 off. The reason why that is high is because I volunteer to work a lot of extra days beyond my schedule between June and December.

      That's great If you can make $200,000 a year pulling a tank I would stick with that.

    Hey Don, including the layover, wouldn’t you start your day off at $342?

    • @20plustrucking
      @20plustrucking  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    What is the starting adp?

      I'm not sure exactly what people are getting for a starting ADP but I would have to guess it's in the upper $300 range.

    applied last week and used a driver referral, haven't heard back since. Any sense as to how long the process takes?

    • @20plustrucking
      @20plustrucking  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Did you use me as a driver referral? You may not get hired if you used me lol I'm just kidding. I believe I've heard a lot of people say they got a call back within a week or a little more using a referral. Although if there's something on your application that they believe disqualifies you I suppose you would never get a call back.
