  • Walk 5000 steps at home with this at home 30 minute indoor walking workout. Suitable exercise for beginners, seniors and women over 50. This workout is challenging but doable and if you repeat twice you will complete your 10,000 steps for the day! Walk for weight loss and to burn belly fat, to get fit and feel good!

    *Notes about this workout*
    We speed up at the very end of the workout and work at 100% intensity, and by doing this we will be guaranteed to continue burning calories well after the workout is complete. This method is very helpful if your goal is to lose weight.
    Recording steps will be different for each person based on the device you use to count The new step trackers account for variants in walking because not every step is equal!. There are many variants in recording steps, for example: If you casually walk from the kitchen to the bathroom you may take 30 steps...But if you dance your way to the bathroom and use your weights too, your device will register more than 30 steps. 30 slow steps is different to 30 running steps, 30 steps on a treadmill with 0 incline, is different to walking 30 steps on a treadmill with a 15 incline.
    The goal is to add energy and a small degree of challenge to your steps. By doing this you will feel energised and reset your nervous system so your body can function more efficiently.

I had a heart attack a year ago today (as near as we can figure) and since then these videos have helped me become the healthiest I've ever been.     I'm 30 and just found this channel. I'm on a weightloss journey to lose 80lbs. I'm down 30lbs so far and wanted to start to exercise. I tried so many other videos but they were just a little too intense or I needed much more mobility so i kept giving up. I'm on day 4 of doing this video and i am a sweaty wreck after it but i feel such a sense of accomplishment. To all you ladies over 50, thank you so much for inspiring me to get off the couch and work towards a better self. Thanks to Schellea for making accessible videos.

    Sweating like crazy. My smart watch calculated only 3336 steps. Highest hr was 161 bpm and I burned 342 calories. Thank you for another AMAZING workout!

    Did this routine AND your newest routine this morning and I asked my 87 year old mom if she cared to join me. She would have been walking for 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours but due to weather it wasn’t an option today. She did fantastic, a little challenging with the hand feet coordination but she still made it through. So proud of her ❤️ thank you Thank you Schellea 🥰

    I did 2,850 steps and was jogging most of the time. Maybe my apple health isn’t counting all my steps? Loved doing this and your other workouts!

      In the 2 years I have been following this workout, I only ever manage 4 thousand steps, and i swear I'm keeping up with shelly .Hey, ho, I enjoy the workout anyway.

    I found this during covid and did it religiously.. Then things got back normal and i forgot about it. Oh am i glad i found it again. Its incredibly good. The music is great and u dont feel its 30 minutes. Works every area and i use 1.5kg during walking parts... Great workout ❤

    First time! I'm 78 with double hipreplacement and back laminectomy andI did it! My weights were only 3 lbs but I lift 8-10 other days.... thanks! I loved the rapid change! I get boooreed!

    Love using your 5000 step challenge along with my exercise routine. I sweat like crazy for 35 minutes then go out for a walk. I alternate Zumba, cardio, yoga, bike and total fitness with your routine. Thank you! So much fun!!

    LOL! I've been doing this 5 000 steps workout since it was published, and for the first time today, I finally managed to get 5000 steps on my fitbit! When I first started, it never registered more than 3500, and I am in pretty good shape... If you look closely, specially at the beginning, you can see that the step counter goes way faster than the number of steps Schellea actually takes (it's like her fitbit is on steroids or something!🤣). So today, I decided to try and catch up with it, and did the entire workout at double pace, no pause. I have never sweated so much in my life, but my fitbit did say 5050 steps at the end! I just love the music on this one❤. Thanks Schellea for keeping us motivated with your great workouts!

    Helen Flint I would like to say a big thank you for the exercises you have created. A while back I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia I was in so much pain sometimes I could not get out of bed. My sister recommended your website to me that was five months ago every day I do four to five of your exercises and I must tell you I have come such a long way. I can get up every morning and move around for me its like winning the lotto. I feel stronger every day and do not have the pain I used to have.     im nearly 70 and still pushing myself with the exercises most days. Iv got a little lazy lately so back to the grindstone, brilliant workouts, my posture and strength has improved tremendously. I never get bored of the exercises Schellea is like a breath of fresh air. 😀

    This one was more than I thought it would be and I loved it!! I'm continuing to do the 5 minute knee strengthening exercises every day and I am starting to see a difference! Those pics in the beginning are so inspiring, too. I love seeing the difference not only in their physique, but in the clothes they choose to wear!

    I am not sure why the step counter rolls faster than the actual steps but when I matched step for step, I got about 4600 steps, which is still a great workout!

    I DID IT. AFTER 15 MINUTES I MOVED TO 30 MINUTES AND THEN TO THIS 5000 STEPS. I FEEL HAPPY I FEEL BEAUTIFUL. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN FOR THE INSPIRATION. THESE VIDEOS ARE JUST WHAT I NEED TO KEEP FIT, HEALTHY AND HAPPY.

    60 years old, 5 months since badly breaking my foot, and I managed to do this today. Overjoyed that my foot is healed and I can move my body again🎉🎉 Thank you for a great workout!

      Hi ! Greetings from Bangladesh. Me and my husband started to the work out from last week and very excited about it. It is really doable and we are enjoying to do this. I am overnight so need to lose at least 15 kg. Hope this work out will help me for that.

    I’m 26 and on my rest day. I still did your workout just to get some steps in. You made me feel really good. Even working out at the gym doesn’t make me feel this good. I love your video. ❤❤❤❤

    Wow! Love how my heart rate gets up, I sweat and you challenge my coordination with some of those moves. Exactly what this 71 year old with 2 knee replacements needs. I feel so great and happy !

    To let you know I had to do day 5 over as I was interrupted by my neighbors house catching on fire. All is well the house was saved from too much damage but I was there for my friends. So I’m back on schedule and completed day 5. Thank you and God Bless

    I’ve been doing your workouts and sharing with my friends for a few months now! I told my husband that you’re my new best friend lol. I love all of your fabulous exercise videos. I found you last year during the height of the lock down. Then got away from it for a bit. I am now back full force, sometimes doing three or four videos a day. I’m hoping to get stronger, improve my balance, tone my body and lose a few pounds. Thank you for having fabulous exercise videos for 50+year olds. You make it fun! Blessings,

    Even though I keep up, my Fitbit only tracks 4,000 steps. What does 5,000 steps equal in miles for you ?
    I do 4 miles = 10,000 steps I know this is correct because I do a 3 mile walk and it’s always 7,500 steps.
    I have been doing your exercises every day for 4 1/2 years. You will never know how much you have helped me mentally and physically. Bless you Schellea !
