I saw George Carlin live in Yakima Washington about 20 years ago while working on a project out there. Some guy I was training had 2 tickets to see him and invited me. It was the funniest show ever. George Carlin is one of the best comics to touch the mic.

I remember discovering him in the early 80s as a teen listening to the Sunday Night Comedy Hour show on the local rock station. It was the "I Used to Be Irish Catholic" routine, having been raised Catholic, it wasn't so much a comedy routine as much as a documentary with laughs.

When I was little I would make any excuse to stay up late to watch his specials, and when that failed I would pretend to fall asleep in a room where I knew they would be watching the show. He’s been gone for a long time, yet I’m just now drawn to the brilliant wisdom and insight that is George Carlin.
George Carlin is a free wheeling pure comedic genius. I have no resonance with the disputes that are made over what Mr. Carlin created to be light, thoughtful moments of joy, laughter, levity. Thank you, sir, for your wisdom, bravery, wit, and hilarious times you shared! Eff the bs this man is always honest and anyone offended can blame themselves.

I saw George Carlin live in Yakima Washington about 20 years ago while working on a project out there. Some guy I was training had 2 tickets to see him and invited me. It was the funniest show ever. George Carlin is one of the best comics to touch the mic.
I love George. He was so wise and put it into humor. What a loss.
He is truly missed and we really need him in this era.

I remember discovering him in the early 80s as a teen listening to the Sunday Night Comedy Hour show on the local rock station. It was the "I Used to Be Irish Catholic" routine, having been raised Catholic, it wasn't so much a comedy routine as much as a documentary with laughs.
About the Blues: “It’s not enough to know which notes to play. You gotta know why they need to be played.” - That is so true on so many levels.

In case you missed it, I love George Carlin and I always have. When I was little I would make any excuse to stay up late to watch his specials, and when that failed I would pretend to fall asleep in a room where I knew they would be watching the show. I think George would like people talking a little smack about him, instead of licking his sack and pretending he was perfect and we liked everything about him
I love it because he doesn't even need a recovery if the crowd really hates what he says. He's just telling the truth and making jokes here and there which the jokes ARE the truth. If the crowd boo's what he says then he just continues his story!
