I would love to have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, recently I have been lacking a lot creativity due to some personal problems. I have always used Apple products and I love to take pictures, and long story short I take a lot of photography grade pictures. My grandmother just recently got diagnosed with cancer, and when she sees me taking pictures, she gets really happy. We upgraded our test devices and got a bunch of iPhone 14's / pro and regular. One of the most solid releases, the dynamic island looks amazing. Personally I upgraded from the iPhone 11 Pro Max and it's a world of difference if not for anything else for Pro Motion. Always on display turned off, way too much battery consumption.
I did the same as far as upgrading from the 11 pro max and turning “Always on” display off😂

Hi Greg I always watch your videos before I purchase a phone or any technology.. then when I buy it I go back and watch the tips and tricks .. your videos are easy to understand very helpful to find out more about the product you have purchased and leading more about your iPhone watch or laptop.. I find you hit the nail on the head with honest reviews and stick to the basic of what people want to know about technology.. I’ll keep continuing to watch your videos before I make decisions if I change keep or wait for another update version of laptop phone I buy .. 5star reviews for you . Have iPhone pro max but with the lack of change in design made me stay with the phone currently thinking of iPhone 14 and waiting for new iMac or just to jump and go for the iMac out know

I just got mine today (coming from the 11 pro max) and love it so far. Gotta test out those cameras. I do listen to music a lot so that can be used to test out the dymnamic island.

Hello Greg, and thank you for this honest review. I previously had the iPhone 11 Pro. I’m not one of those to upgrade every year because usually the upgrades are not that much more significant to go through the upgrade just to say I have the latest and greatest etc. etc. So I waited for the iPhone that was going to turn my head and say “hey, this is worth it!” The iPhone pro features are what I need for my daily career, and this one just astounded me by reading about it leaps and bounds. I too have reservations about the size coming from an 11 Pro model and the weight but like everything else that gets bigger you just get used to it. The camera features are good and I do agree with the three times zoom option. It does seem to be a little redundant. The only thing I’ve been waiting for Apple to perfect or to at least catch up to the competitor of Samsung is action pictures. To this day I had a Samsung galaxy three that had the best action photos with clarity ever. iPhone still has yet to meet that but I digress. I am a Mac user for life. All of my technology in my home is Apple products, and I love the way that they speak with each other. This phone is definitely a great upgrade from an 11 series Apple iPhone, or even a 12 as I’ve read the other comments before. I’m very happy with my purchase, and I do not regret it, and I will grow with this product as I have all of the Apple products I’ve ever owned in my life. I don’t know if anybody else’s iPhone 14 pro max is a little glitchy at times? My screen seems to do the old Max headroom screen glitch as if it’s refreshing 4 or 5 times in a row intermittently, but it doesn’t happen all the time and I assume that Apple is aware of this and they will fix it eventually in an update.

I would love to have an extra phone for my son who is very very tech savvy and currently has an iPhone nine but I just can’t afford to upgrade his phone currently. Plus he’s 14 years old and what 14-year-old has the same phone as their parents? I guess only if you have a lot of money. Lol. Got my 14 Pro Max just last week. Quite the change from iPhone 7. I was surprised how much better the cameras are and how much nicer the screen looks! Battery life feels like it can handle a weekend with me without recharging without even using low battery mode. There’s many things that are and feel better, but my biggest gripes are the weight, thickness and no USBC. 4.75/5
I had the 7+ mat black, what color did you have and I literally got my iPhone 14 pro max today and just in awe in how fast and beautiful the cameras are.
Also new 14 PM owner, one week for me. Agreed on USB-C. My gripes are no SIM slot which caused a store visit to set up eSIM. Weight is fine. Thickness is fine. I like the size of the screen and case but the slippery case feels like it is easy to drop. I don't like the camera bumps, phone wobbles on flat surfaces. Last two issues were resolved with 360 case.

@@encinobalboa EU owner, so I don’t have the mmWave 5g, but I do have physical sim still. Well, I only have 4G connection, because it’s 20€/month unlimited calls, SMS and data up to 200 MBs (or 300).
Yeah the camera bump is there even with a case and I feel a little paranoid scratching/breaking the lenses. Heh, weight and thickness are ok in hand, but I feel the it’s designed to fall down from pants pockets. At least I’ve noticed that I need to be more aware of it compared to my old 7.
You have great spec reviews and some real life use. If I wanted an iphone 14 I would get tags. Use them for my son, he's disabled and I'd really like to put it on him because he runs away and doesn't know he shouldn't run off. It's small and I could find him, hopefully easier.#gregsgiveaway
Hi Greg, I really want to upgrade to the iPhone 14 Pro for one main reason-I am is still using an iPhone 6S plus! My family and friends say I should be embarrassed but I’m not! It is still useful- as a phone, sending texts and FaceTime but more and more I am aware of all the limitations of the phone too. Thanks for your review!
Got mine a few days ago, honestly compared to my 12 it’s definitely an improvement and it’s also my first ever pro max phone. I do enjoy the large screen and all of the new features. Definitely gonna have fun with this one.☺️

This is one of the first videos I’ve watched on my new iPhone 14 Pro (not the max) we got them instead of Sony a6400 cameras to create content with. We definitely wanted the smaller firm factor. Only thing I’m concerned about was not being the 1TB version…
same here, for content , especially outside the form factor is a big issue, the max isnt practically at all

I have the 14 Pro Max in Silver and I love it. Definitely an upgrade over my 12 Pro Max. If I would have had a 13 Pro Max then I would not have upgraded this year. The 14 series is a great upgrade from any in the 12 series and phones from further back.

Thank you--I'm considering an upgrade from my 12 ProMax 256GB to the equivalent 14 ProMax. I hadn't expected such a positive accounting of the interface difference as yours. Are the cameras just as much improved?
@@daizyduke12 I have both the 12 pro max and 14 pro max , I don’t think the 12 pro max screen brightness is too bad , however I do agree the brightness sweet spot for seeing the screen out in bright conditions or in the sun is a little above what the 12 pro maxs capability .
The 14 pro max brightness is definitely a noticeable feature that makes owning the 14 a better experience when out in the sun .
That being said, I still love my old 12 pro max , and in hindsight I could have gone easily another year without upgrading , I put both phones side by side , and in my day to day use I find very little in speed difference , except on very very occasional times, and the 12 is still pretty fast.

Hey, thanks for the wonderful video! I'm really wanting an iPhone pro max because it's been a rough year and I deserve something nice for once. First off my car was totaled out in April then a month later my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. The cancer was removed but has left her in a lot of pain which makes her very unfriendly. Lastly I'm going on 11 hears watching my father deteriate with Multiple Sclerosis. So it's been a rough year if not life! So a great gift would be wonderful!
Good morning Greg! I have been a long time android guy and am using an aging Note 9. My kids, college freshman and HS sophomore, both started using iPhones about a year ago. So, being able to FaceTime my son would be a very useful feature for me.

Hi Greg, the 3 reasons I would like to upgrade to a iPhone 14 Pro Max would be the Extra screen real estate that would help me to read more and the extra battery that would help me to achieve more productivity on the go + the camera setup for crisper quality photos.

I personally upgraded from an iPhone 11 to an iPhone 14 pro max and honestly I love it! It took me a while to decide because I felt like there was nothing really wrong with my phone to change but now that I have an iPhone 14 pro max I’m honestly so happy I got it !

The camera is insane... As a "pro" photographer, I tested the RAW capabilities of the iphone 14 pro max, edited the photos in lightroom and posted them on social media. Everyone believed my landscape photos to be from a dslr :o For my portrait shoots I wouldn't even consider a phone to shoot with, but for casual landscapephotos, u can get amazing results with a bit of editing.
I can hand bokeh in post better than any lens, LMAO.
Moment and RAW work just fine for the last set of graduation pics I charged them 5 schools for, ROFL.
As for general use... Eh, I generally ask what people think about mobile photography; If they get snobbish, I charge them more but still 100% sell them edited ProRAW shots over DSLR.
In fact, I've been selling RAW as DSLR since the 12 PRO and Moment, LMAO.
Even "pro's" can't tell the difference, after I've used Moment, Lightroom, Apple's built-in editor, and then imported to a high-end PC for polishing in Pixlr.
Remember: One good editor is worth a thousand "good" camera's.

@@The_Eldest_Millenial I know that editing is the key, but I do notice the difference. No editing can create the depth and smooth clarity that dslr provides. And trust me, I have done professional editing (photoshop, lightroom) for years so I do know. No matter how you edit the photo, you just can’t aqcuire the same level of natural sharpness and depth with a phone, not even with my 14 pro max ProRAW photos.
What’s your camera setting? I have the 14pro but I’ve noticed Everytime I take pictures it just turns overly sharp or looks so bad. Even the front camera it’s terrible. My 12 never did those things
@@Ogochuxy I’m so upset. Spent hours today trying to fix this and then called apple and was on the phone with them for over an hour. It seems non fixable and I’m over my month period to return. I wound have returned right away had I realized this. I take pictures for a living with my camera of jewelry. The auto correct ruins them. I went my 11 back 😢

@@forestberrie3330 trust me, get the pro max. It's really not that big and uncomfortable and I don't use my phone one handed anyways because I have small hands but the battery alone is worth it. I also got a popsocket wallet that has magsafe so I can take it on and off and use to to support the phone with one hand if I need to

Thanks for the review! My son has been stuck in iPhone 7 land and he aspires to be a photographer, it would be awesome to upgrade his phone.
I want the 14 pro b/c of its having;
1) 48 mp prime camera
2) 4K cinematic mode
3) much better results from its front camera,
4) Better results even from its 12 mp shots due to having larger sensors,
5) Smaller size than the max version and still getting the very same results and feel much more comfortable to hold and carry,
6) Deep purple color :)
7) Having the dynamic island not b/c it looks more beautiful than the notch (I have never seen the island in person even though i have seen the notch but since using ths samsung phones for years never experienced the notch either)
These are the reasons I can list for why I want the 14 pro. The most important starts from 1 and the keast ends at 7. I really did not care for the AOD.

I am normally upgrading every 3 years, so I was using my 11 pro (256 gb). So I purchased the 14pro (512 gb) in space black and played with it for 2-3 days. The result is I decided to stay with my 11 pro and see what Iphone 15 will have to offer. Main cons from my point of view: 1) much heavier than my 11 pro 2) I didn't have wow-effect like I did when I got my 11pro. 3) I felt a bit weird about the cameras, the selfie one was not sharp in the room at cloudy weather; the outdoor images look weird after taking pictures -- keep getting some sharpening filter 4) I wasn't impressed by battery life (with very average usage only lasted me one day: started at about 10 am, a bit of facetiming and social media, then museum with some pictures, then some maps. I got 30% by 7 pm. My 11pro with 86% battery capacity does a little worse, but it's a 3-year-old phone... On the bright side, I can't not notice 1) screen is brighter 2) night mode on all cameras and better images at night 3) all new bells and whistles -- though can't say I am impressed with dynamic island or found it useful for me needs. AOD -- not sure If I'd use it (for the battery sake). I was considering getting the Max, but glad I didn't, as I can imagine how heavy that might be. I want the iphone14 pro to experience the always on display and that 48mp camera. I’m not sure I will like the dynamic island seems distracting but I guess I’ll have to experience that. The battery life on 14pm sucks compared to the 13pm
Got it at launch. With the iOS 16.1, it really made the phone better for me and made the dynamic island useful like launching apps quickly
I currently have an iPhone 7 Plus. It’s been hard to let it go because I like the home button. Well I’ve seen iPhone upgrades and none have been more enticing then the iPhone 14 pro max. I LOVE the color purple and I think the dynamic island is so cool! I have been watching reviews and unboxing videos and I’m ready to upgrade now. I hope I win!

Luckily a dear old friend was kind enough to give me their old iPhone SE in the mean time but it is really not doing what I need to do with it, and my eyesight isn't what it used to be, so the tiny screen is just so frustrating. I was pretty much out of work during covid as most venues were closed for health reasons, and now I have been living in the Ft. Meyers, Fl area and was unfortunately in the direct path of Hurricane Ian and it was total destruction, so things have really been hard lately but I am moving forward and writing some great songs about my experiences. Due to this I am presently without a home and living in my van and truly would just love to get a new iPhone as I feel it would be such a leap forward for me and my future career and a great way to learn and keep in touch with the world. Greg, great video as always. I'm debating on making the "switch" from Android to iPhone this year. My wife just picked up her 14 pro this month (also switching over), so I'm doing way too much research. Appreciate the honest feedback.

Thank you Greg. I am new to Apple iPhone, coming off of Samsung Android. I am choosing to go for iPhone 14 Pro Max because of all the write ups recommending it as the number one camera.
Your video has helped me to feel good about my decision as well as I had no idea what to buy for keeping the phone charged.
I will be using the phone to record videos for Ananda Meditation Retreat's social media. You might wonder what we'd record since people meditating, well doesn't require a lot of action. I think it will be more about the clarity of the photo shot and the audio of guided meditation and music.
You didn't say much about the quality of sound or how to get the video off the phone and onto a different non-apple device. That would be cool to know.

I have an XS max and I am on the fence to upgrade I don’t have issues with my phone but the 14 pro max is a nice screen. I’m sure the camera is better as well. Can I get some opinions?

I also had an iPhone 13 pro then as soon as the iPhone 14 pro came out and after a few months I realized people and I'm still wondering why I didn't know the iPhone 14 pro Max version I've never had one but I highly recommend it no problems and it's stupid they solve the review as well as this one and get advice from someone just like that, it seems like forever... After all, everyone understands best for themselves what suits them best and what they like, etc. etc. you understand... I don't understand people when they thank you for a review of the device and choose accordingly whether they want the version for or for Max or the basic classic version. Everyone has to know that personally according to the feeling that fits better, whether in the hand or in the pocket, or the overall impression. I don't have big bananas at all, more of a classic average, smaller hands, I don't have huge hands, massive, hello, Phone 14 for Max is completely comfortable to wear, the weight is almost identical to classic variants for. I don't know the difference even the classic iPhone 14 Pro Max is quite heavy when I used to have a classic iPhone 12 so I could really feel it and feel that it is very light and very pleasant in my hand that it felt too light as if it had an empty interior haha... And when battery life so it can't even be compared iPhone 12 battery or iPhone 13 pro or iPhone 14 quickly for quite weak endurance when consuming videos - youtube, Facebook... Taking pictures, filming videos, these classic variants are dead in a moment as far as the battery is concerned, the percentages are very low. But the iPhone 14 pro Max has quite a surprise, it is very difficult to discharge it. You have to give it a big bump so that it goes down faster in up to two days, I've seen rapid and if you really decide to choose the difference and buy the iPhone 14 for Max, you certainly won't regret it, you'll just be happy that you're not a classic advice for but rather Max is completely cool and can be stored even when you are wearing it, for example, going out hiking without any problems
