Short battery life, ugly notch dynamic island who does not make any sense, too much small screen and too much heavy weight for this overpriced shitty garbage iPhone 14 Pro!
Also the camera sucks and is the worst camera from all the flagship phones!
Too much expensive, here in the Europe the price of this garbage is 1450 euro for the 128gb, no charger in the box, no case protection etc!
Will be much better for you to buy other android phone like Oneplus, Pixel 7 pro or something else million times better than this overpriced shitty garbage 14 Pro, a big mistake from you buying this piece of crap!🤧🤧🤮🤮

Ella has more detailed review than the others,
no one mentioned about 48 mp can't shoot at normal mode (non-RAW format).
This information really helpful for people who don't understand any photography knowledge.
Me as an iPhone user also don't want to use RAW with big size data as daily basis.

Her reviews are thorough but it’s not true that no one else mentioned this….it’s common sense the RAW format takes up a lot more space, so it’s better to not to keep it as default…
Android fanboy: holdd the data of my 200mp photo (not same as 200mp resolution of real cameras…just that file size is big and Pixel photos at 12mp are still much better)
The things I love about this channel:
-No overhyping. It is becoming unbearable to watch most TH-camrs because of too much hype, especially negative ones
-Comprehensive coverage. Most creators just state the obvious or just parrot company brochure.
-Smooth delivery. No repeating yourself, jarring jumps or contradictory assertions.
-Balance. While Ella clearly has preferences, which is absolutely OK and makes her more trustworthy, she does a good job of delivering neutral views.
-Knowledge. She clearly knows what she is talking about.
And keep in mind I have only known her channel for only a month and a half but this is all clear (after binging).
the overhype one always turned me off because its personally in their own expectation fault and not the device they reviewed. they were talking about gaming and such while apple never invented the gaming purpose in their models unlike android phones that claimed and sponsored for gaming purpose. iphones are made for profesional reason such as business since it has tight security but people still talks about gaming 🗿 fortunate enough it can still handle high end games eventho its not made for gaming.

Starting off by calling the 14 Pro the most different in years sounds like overhyping to me

This channel deserves more attention, these days popular TH-cam channels are either focused on publishing sponsored content, reviewing an item that they received in mail rather than one that they researched and looked forward to review, and most channels fails to mention things that might help a Normal consumer to make the right decision, most times they end up with a device that their favourite TH-camr adviced rather than one that better suits them.
Either way most channels publish min 2 videos for a device, so i think they should include every detail in the final review. It's painful when you buy a device based on reviews only to realise that it's not a perfect fit for you, so it's always better to have all issues pointed out by someone before they decide to buy the device.

I don't disagree. I have watched a LOT of reviews of this phone and I think this one is probably the best and most objective I've seen. The subs will come over time.
Yeah kinda true, but gotta support Canadians in tech! ✊🏻🇨🇦 But the only one slight thing that needs improvement is her thumbnails, I'd rather see smile on thumbnails than a reaction face, not a fan of that, her smiles are much better for TH-cam thumbnails

i love the dynamic island. i think it's so cute how the sound waves match the album art, and in a phone call the sound waves react to your voice. it's those little details i just love. i do think it sucks how it kind of cuts into videos though.

I actually used my iPhone daily for taking pictures and videos now (instead of lugging around a dslr) for information sharing in the company I work for. The iPhone 14 Pro was a big jump up from an iPhone X I was using for the last 3+ years. Certainly a big improvement on the photo quality. I'm still learning the abilities and limitations about it, but yes, the 48mp camera really needs to be able to switch file formats or they need to change the ISO so the picture taking is snappier. The sensor is definitely large enough to draw enough light in to take an f2.8 shot. Feels more like it's been stopped down to a f4. I've almost convinced myself to get a filler light to help it out. (instead of buying a new dslr instead of my 10 year old monster I've been using).
I watch A LOT of reviews and this was most certainly one of the best I've seen. You answered questions, no other review answered and even talked about things I didn't know (converting 48mp pictures to save space). Also the many tests and graphs were quite interesting. I could certainly tell that you're very knowledgable and passionate about tech. You got a very detailed, yet quick to the point approach thats suitable for enthusiats and non-tech people alike, keep it up!

I ended up getting one in purple and I’m super happy with it! I love the “dynamic island” personally and hopeful apps will implement it soon enough. That and the improved front and rear cameras were enough to sell me plus I love the color.
You gave such a thorough perspective on a lot of the commonly covered topics (ex. battery drain, camera comparisons), as well as on some more unique topics (ex. file size, phone heat, and ProRAW). First time seeing your channel, your attention to detail is phenomenal. All the popular tech channels I've seen never went into the detailed regarding the AOD on Android vs iOS. I'm not going to bother watching the other tech channels reviews in the future. WOW you even mentioned the black wallpaper for the AOD same thing I was thinking since it was announced, that it would display the wallpaper, it's like you read my mind😉

Thanks, Ella. The small detail about the HEIF conversion is really interesting and kinda makes sense once you think about it. I am pretty sure Apple locked the 48MP mode to ProRAW because it is the pro iPhone. I agree with you! It seems to be due to the rolling shutter situation.

going from the 11 pro max to the 14 pro this weekend- this video made me excited. i’m a photographer but i can’t always have my camera on me so having a decent phone camera and battery that can last more than 3 hours is gonna be so refreshing
Was considering the 14 Pro mainly for what I thought the cameras did .. but your detailed comments helped me (as a not very expert photographer) see I would not be gaining advantages I had expected. I’ve watched a number of videos about the iPhone 14 pro model and I have to say, your video is very detailed and thorough. You definitely earned a new subscriber here.
Using the 14 pro max I’ve noticed I noticed the macro auto focus completely gives up when the lighting gets a little dimmer and RAW images with tough dynamic range conditions will have super aggressive smoothing in some parts of it
Like it genuinely looks like a game area didn’t load correctly
Edit: Idk if it’s completely gone but I haven’t seen it do that in a long while

Hi Ella I just want to say that this was a great review/overview of the new iPhone 14, so detailed an precise with lots of information, awesome job 👏 the one thing I am wondering is using that heif shortcut, I have it set up just like you do in shortcuts but I can’t seem to convert proraw photos to heif for some reason, I keep getting the prompt “there was a problem running the shortcut Convert to HEIF” how did you adjust it in order for it work on proraw? Thank you so much for this review… As someone who switched from a 8 plus to a 14 pro max there is a MAJOR difference in the image processing. I strongly dislike the over sharpening that you were describing that is a result of the over-processing in ‘deep fusion’. Hoping they come out with an alternative setting to turn this off or adjust it manually without needing to shoot in pro raw
You dont need to do it if you dont activate the raw mode and yes you can activate or not in your screen while taking pictures with one click

You have become my favorite tech reviewer, and I watch a lot of different ones. You are the best. Your videos have evolved quite rapidly over a short period of time in production value Well pointing out all the things that really matter and not typing the ones that don’t and giving me a true or a more accurate idea in one video of work ownership experience of a device would be. You have more value in your videos and I get more useful information from your one video than I do spending excessive time cross-referencing from other reviewers. Thank you for making your videos so useful and so stylish. You have a real organizational and articulation ability and produce a very polished Thoroughly informative video. The time that you put into it makes the time that I spend watching it very valuable. I got all hyped up from Apple‘s introduction of the phone and thought about unnecessarily upgrading from my iPhone 13 Pro Max, but I am definitely moving forward with a more level head and holding off to see when Apple will have a phone that makes enough difference to matter. I suspect, and hope, that the iPhone 15 Pro (and Ultra?) will be that phone for me, and many. I’m looking forward to more of your good work because I do want to get a watch or a tablet a little further into the future, so I will be watching and enjoying all of your videos on anything.

I just got my iPhone 14 Pro Max last week & I’m loving it. With the always on display if you go into setting - display then click the always on you can turn off wallpaper as well as the notifications. Then you will only have the always on display ( clock & widgets) on black screen. Saves on battery life too. I’m impressed with the battery life on this phone. I had a S22 Ultra prior to this iPhone & the iPhone battery is way better then the ultra.
The details with the information in this video are a chefs kiss, though I'm not too crazy about specs I'm definitely more on the customization side of things and seeing how iphone is making their products more customizable is great! And tempting! All they need is a theme store and more interactive apps/widgets and I'm on my way to buying an iPhone xD amazing video as always ella!!! 💖💖

When you're using the Dynamic island the "island" will extrude enough so you don't have to touch the hardware or smudge the camera when you actually need to interact with it.

So far this is the best review of the iPhone 14 Pro ive seen its so detailed and thorough.
It certainly is a big change for me since I had my iPhone 6s since it debuted back in 2015. I’m liking my 14 Pro but I really miss Touch ID. I was gonna go with the SE but I figured I won’t be upgrading for a very Long time so might as well go with the top tier phone of today.
I’m also switching now from IPhone 6s to IPhone 14 pro After 6 years. I hope it will be worth it but I mean it’s a top tier phone so it should be worth it lmao.
I made the same jump from 6s to the 14Pro. Best decision so far

7 your getting a exynos chip so there’s that although it’s a pretty good customized version of it. S23 should be a huge improvement for sure I hope it is. iPhone is meh for me even with iOS 16 it feels boring for me even my older androids I still have feel more fun lol

Great job, it is refreshing to see a tech youtuber giving an honest opinion on phones and not trying to sell them.
I think there are lot of optimization that can be done if you are comparing AOD with iPhone vs Samsung. Perhaps not the best Apples to apples comparison also considering the vast settings that are optimized in Android developer options.
I might not disagree with the results just that they both are not the same software for AOD to compare against. Perhaps using same app on two different phones might give a better perspective
