Yes it would. What happened to high gloss, high shine end lots of clearcoat? That satin finish just looks like crap! Like no one has waxed their car in yrs. Just disgusting
Notice there was no close ups? Cuz it's not flat. This dip stuff isn't paint. "Satin" hides blemishes. Gloss would show how bumpy this stuff comes out. These aren't full paint jobs, kinda like chicks color their hair for a few weeks. Meant to peel off and dip again. But different strokes for different folks
High gloss over a white base and little bit of white mixed in to brighten it a bit. For trim colors, white, brass, copper, bronze, navy blue, charcoal black, or even pink.
Can you do a video about why you don't paint every color over a white base? I've always wondered about that as I assumed a white base would be best for showing the color in its truest form?
Wow that is a nice color the lines are perfectly matched it is just so clean looking I really enjoy your Channel I never thought I would until my son and my nephew got me hooked on it and I enjoy watching each and every video that y'all have created I really enjoy keep it up thank you
That's what I was thinking, when it was wet and gloss. Then they show it dried and matte. Not always a fan of the matte finish, plus people mistake gloss dip for paint it done right
This man changed my life, he put me on painting cars & I’m making my money because of him , I learned a lot of stuff from his videos big love & support for you man 💪 keep doing what you doing I hope god bless you
As an art student I can tell you a 50/50 mix of yellow and blue does not make that bright vibrant green you’re thinking of. Yellow is so light in color compared to blue, it will be over powered by it and give more of an emerald to cyan to sea foam color depending on the original shades of the two colors
AudibleVisible sort of. I learned the various properties of mixing colors in class, but most of it I learned hands on by mixing various colors in attempts to make more variety in my art works
Honestly love the color but it is almost spot on to a Turkish blue, i do know it would look dif in person but i took a snapshot on pc then color matched it and it came right in to the Turkish blue :) sharp looking and all the other colors you could come up with if you was to use less of the yellow or less of the blue are almost endless! keep up the great work guys!
The color looks really cool! I recently dipped my car.. it was my first time spraying an actual gallon of dip and it is such a cool and user friendly product. i sprayed a total of 4 gallons. 1 black, mixed 1 black and 1 gunmetal grey and the last gallon was matte clear with pearls mixed in. For a beginner it came out pretty good lol if you want to check out the results they are on my channel. but if i could do it again (which I will at one point), I would say 5 gallons minimum (for a jetta sized car) to ensure proper coverage and a respirator (I will never spray without one again). I was surprised at how fast the product ran out which caused some mistakes from me rushing and spraying less so i didn't miss any spots.
Awesome vid Blue and yellow make green. But it seems that when you use auto paints it makes an unusual unique blue is greenish teal shifting blue-green If you buy a kit, the video says to use all the paint the kit goes with. Does that mean if you have left over paint to do more coats?
Hi awesome video! I’m just curious though but doesn’t the car look weird once you open the doors and see the unpainted trim inside? And Is there any way to paint the inside panels as well? I feel like it would look unfinished without it. Thanks!
I’m looking at the blue and yellow, while painting I saw what I thought were streaks in the lines of painting,my question to you was I just seeing things or was it there and then flattened itself out while it was in its drying stage? Thanks Mike
You're awesome! Just discovered the channel yesterday and I'm hooked. I have a question on this video. After you poor the color into the other one, do you have to blend them? If not how do you think it'd come out? Keep it up 👍
Hey. Could you mix that same blue with the wicked wine from other video. I would definitely like to see what color shade it would be (I know a type of purple).. but that color (I'll call it " Sea foam Emerald) and the chocolate, is great!!!
Couple things, first: you can probably send that EVO to the Guinness book of world record to have the most, a car, had been painted and repainted. Secondly, do you have some sort of chart where we can see the proper application of paint based on a combination of basecoat colors, primary colors, and paint color combination?
The vlogging style is nice. It makes the video more personalized :)

@@TheHottwhyrd you should check out some of their gloss finish videos they look very smooth and clean

this looks like car from GTA 3 on low settings :D
Adding a third pearl, a very deep indigo blue, all equal parts. I feel like it would be the most beautiful teal/turquoise.
So much this.
Nice
You guys like the new Vlog style talking sections?
DipYourCar yes sir!
DipYourCar try making a purple
Kinda looks like a Mint Green. Sweet color tho
Can you do a video about why you don't paint every color over a white base? I've always wondered about that as I assumed a white base would be best for showing the color in its truest form?

This is way better than the brown Mustang.
Mr. Sideburns idk. That was a cool brown
@@omnimediagroup5761 agreed, I wish he used about 60% red though
Nope its definitely not
@@shake4259 yeah I liked the brown, extra red would of gave it a rust brown which would look nice I agree.
Nope
Great Color.. You guys should do a red and blue mix to get a nice purple.!
I'd put that on a 60s challenger
@@T0YCHESTslxl
@@jayhornbuckle5560 what

So copper with bird poop 😂

Oxycopper 👌🏼
That’s why I couldn’t place the shade of green! It is oxidized copper!

Damn did you learn that in art school?
AudibleVisible sort of. I learned the various properties of mixing colors in class, but most of it I learned hands on by mixing various colors in attempts to make more variety in my art works
The quality of your spray outs are always so clean and even. Nice work!
Wonder how long these coatings last, how well they hold up for daily driver use.
I think it depends on the amount of clear coat you put on. With a few coats I have a feeling it would last as long as a normal paint job
Long! I've had it on my rims for like 5 years (just regular matt black) and it only got damaged last week when I had new tyres fitted to the rims.
The DYC website offers straight-forward explanations as to durability and longevity of each of the different calibers of DIY and pro dips.

Stunning satinized teal end result... ❤ it😍😍
Looks almost just like the Honda Tahitian color from the 90s! I love it!
You should mix a dark red with a blue for a crazy purple color next time. Love the vids..
Celadon to me. Almost green gray bluish, some would say torquois. Northern lightish blue green. Love it

High gloss with a yellow or white pearl would look amazing with that colour!
Boy that's pretty. What is that sprayer, and is it connected to a shop vac?
You guys definitely need a deep Teal color. I dig the results you guys got with the experiment. Keep it up.

Dark Yellow. *_Obviously_*
The fact that you did this with one hand so effortlessy
That's a great color. I bet it would look great as a candy too. Do you guys make kits for motorcycles as well?
Now to experiment with mixing sulfur yellow with other blue tints. Hopefully you'll have a video for all. Cool color.
That right there is a beautiful color
Love the videos. Thinking of doing this I hate my wrap. Do you have gloss black with a flake in it? Thanks keep the videos coming.
What would you have that would look like an antifreeze green
Love the color. This is my fifth or sixth video I've watched of yours and you definitely have my sub.

Joaquin Valencia ........my color seems to be on back order .........so............ I'm waiting to be excited too..😅
Tubular teal is what I'd call it lol. How do u get the tape off without pulling the plasty dip up. I always have problems when doing strips.
Awesome awesome awesome…
Look at how he rips those paint lids of with his fingers. What a BEASTTT!
Is it lacking detailing/clear coat? I personally just don't feel the glat vibe I'm getting. I love how you guys experiment.

Does the kit comes with the car to ?
We said owww at the same time lol fire.!
That’s a BMW color👌🏽.
Do y’all have a marine paint kit
Midnight mint! That's what comes to mind when I seen this.
Thanks for sharing, I like that blue on its own. what is the name of it please?
You painted over the indicators and reflectors? Is that legal?
wonderful work
can you do a performance series on rims or is it only by the gallon?
Wonder if a 2:1 yellow to blue mix would give you a brighter green
CVJordan it would, i was screaming inside to not put all the blue in or add even more yellow. Still like the colour though.
That defeats the point of these videos. 1:1 ratio of whatever colors are chosen
More yellow would make a yellowish-green... while white would brighten it
Love this color!
Awesome!
that jawn is fyaaaaaa
Trippy color!
It looks pretty
@DipYourCar Could you showcase royal with cheese on the mustang? I am curious just how close it looks to the OEM grabber orange paint.
Nice color!
