It didn't have too much of an effect on the warm colors but def looks good on the Nardo, Flex Blue and Pure Purple.

I really can't decide between the Nardo Gray and Pure Purple. I love how the gray has all the greens and blues showing up, but the purple also shows a lot of that. The rest of them had some subtle stuff going on, but didn't really do much for me. I expected the white base to do something similar to the gray, but I was actually pretty disappointed in that one.
Definitely the nardo grey. I thought for sure I was gonna like it over the purple best, and it did turn out nice over the purple…but, it looks amazing over the grey!

The gray and blue are both phenomenal choices as well. Over the warm colors it gets lost, on the red it showed up best for the warms, like a lava shift.
Nardo Grey #1, Pure Purple #2. None of the rest do much for me. Interestingly, a hint of the purple in the pearl did show through on the white base. Nice video, can't wait to see what you go full scale with.
I wouldn't mind seeing what 10 grams per gallon over the white would do

Yep.
Blue is the color that brings out the most purple. Purple base is already purple so that's what you're seeing there. Probably could have put a lot of things over it for the same effect.
As expected, most people agree that the gray and purple are spectacular, which I agree with. But they are doing exactly what you would think they would do.
I personally would love to see the red, but like a few comments before me, up the pigment a little bit or an additional coat.
It’s got that shift but subtle, I think it would look wonderfully understated full scale.

Still wanna see what it does over different shades of green . Green may sound crazy but if black turns it green maybe green will do something like the pure purple or the nardo🤷🏻♂️

Man this is totally insanity aaawweeee. Definitely one of the coolest color shifts I’ve seen yet. If your wanting something that’s gonna turn heads & make anyone drool over your ride. It’s a tie to me… PURPLE & NARDO GREY in full scale is going to just be mind blowing & sexy as hell. Thanks so much for doing this 😍 ugh those colors
I like how it turned the red into a fire opal sort of effect. The blue and purple got the best results imo. would be absolutely stunning on a darker blue, I think.

The red really popped, as did the purple. It would be interesting to see tests done on blurple, red wine and hunter green too. 🙂
That pure purple would go good on a 64 slammed impala with some sick pearl white and gold pinstriping...

I feel a missed opportunity to redo the black with lower saturation, and possibly a green. But such an awesome pearl to work with 👍 for me personally it has to be the blue, but the red could look really sweet too!
These type of videos are propably a lot of work but THANK YOU! I wanna see more of these! For us "regular customers" it's very hard and mostly very expensive to try combinations thus making us not try anything but rather use "well known/approved" combinations
I'd love to see it done with Winter Green, Grabber Blue, Dessert Tan, Force Teal or Fresh Mint!
Seeing how different hypershift pearls look on a transparent surface would be interesting.
Definitely the purple. I had high hopes for the white, I think in a higher concentration maybe it would work. Still looking for that magical combination.

Not what I expected at all. That nardo grey looks awesome and gets my vote. The effect on the blue is insane and that purple pops. Can't wait to see it full scale!
The Red turned out to be my favorite, and has some awesome highlights, but I also like the Nardo Grey, and the pure purple. What an awesome experiment 👏
I was thinking the red would look great on an old hotrod.
#1 was red. #2 very close was nardo grey. #3 was pure purple. #4 was orange. none of the others even came close. plus id say black was even with the pure purple.
The grey red and purple had the best effects with that powder to mix ratio in my,opinion. But that red though. Damn looked like fire. Red with the yellowish golden tints and color shift.The purple is really nice too.
My vote for full scale goes to Red, though I think it needed 1 more coat of pearl on it. Actually, most of them needed 1 more coat - only the Grey and Purple looked right at the 3 coats. I kind of like the purple one, but I think Red with 4 coats would be awesome full scale. 😀
Purple, red and grey came out awesome. Now I want to see it over a maroon like wicked wine 👍

You guys able to do a before and after outside 360 shot? I’d love to see the car with just the base and then fade into the after with the hyper shift added onto it.

Well worth the wait. Very unique color results. The Pure Purple 💜 imo would be an opportunity to see something truly different. Im loving the Nardo Grey as well however you guys have done a few combos with that Grey and got similar results in the past 2yrs of a Fonzie's shenanigans. Thks for the hard work guys.

The Nardo gray was the most impressive, I also like the look on the red a lot even though it was a lot more subtle.
That nardo grey was shockingly pretty! Like a disco easter egg, I LOVED it. The red was very nice, the white was subtle but also nice and the purple was just so damn sweet. Gray though, that was amazing!
For me it’s a tie between Pure Purple and Nardo Grey considering the shifting effect, but Red is also awesome in its own more subtle way.
Loved the video today. Being able to see how the pearls change based on the underlying colors was great. One of my favorites in a while.
CANT DECIDE NARDO GRAY OR PURE PURPLE
Primaries, 2 secondaries, white and grey?!?!? So boring. I want to see some awesome base colors...aqua, lime, cantelope, fushia, periwinkle, violet, Oh my!
For me it's definitely pure purple 💜 😍 purple is my favourite colour anyway but it helps make all the colours pop and nardo grey is a close second. perhaps one day maybe even on a pink base would be interesting 🤔
Grey is by far the best, followed closely by the purple. I really like the the red and orange as well with the yellow transitions.
Ok imo the grey and purple were the top colors which seems to be the consensus but id have to go for the grey#1 and the purple #2. Can't wait for the next video to see what you went with full scale.Dip it good!❤😂
This is four months late, so probably nobody will read this and there's no point in voting, so just for fun I've come up with names for the different color combos. At least it might amuse the computer heyokas.
Nardo Gray--Elvencloak
Mandarin Orange--Quench
Flex Blue--Lake Otherworld
Yellow--Goldenfruit
White--Angelglow
Red--Neon Fire
Pure Purple--Futuremage
Truly awesome display on each base.. Some more subtle than others, for sure. Most “POP” goes to the #1-Pure Purple, and #2-Nardo Gray.. Red did have a “Live Fire/Molten Magma” type of effect. Perhaps a wicked Half/Half Base Coat split on Full scale?? Purple/Gray.. Someone earlier mentioned a C8..?.. With all those angles and curves, think wud really show off superb. Split Base or not. Awesome Video.. Once again, you did not disappoint!!
I voted in the pinned comment, just wanted to say that my favorite was the purple, second favorite was gray and third favorite was red just because it really made the gold pop.
The nardo grey looks kind of spacey to me, the purple is beautiful and reminds me of flowers. The mandarin orange looks juicy, the red would look cool on a dragon sculpture.
It would’ve been cool to see a black tester in there to see if the pigment change was achieved by lowering the ratio per gallon because I personally like the black base the best but would’ve liked to see what it looked like with a different ratio
Not letting me post in the vote so I'll post here.
I prefer the colors in this order:
1) Nardo Grey
2) Pure Purple (go 5 coats at 5g/gal or 2 coats at 7.5g/gal)
3 Flex Blue (go 5 coats at 5g/gal or 2 coats at 7.5g/gal)
4) Red (go 5 coats at 5g/gal or 2 coats at 7.5g/gal)
For the White, Yellow, and Mandarin Orange; I think you might need to go to 8g/gal.
The purple was by far my favourite, and I guessed right from the start it would be. Looked mad! The nardo grey came in second, and then the flex blue.
Red, Orange, Yellow, and White (IMO) were all kind of bland. The Purple was ok but definitely the Nardo and Blue both POPPED really well with the ZGP 😁👍
I would also like to see ZGP over Force Teal, Fresh Mint, and Fusion Pink
I actually liked the orange... It looked like a flaming astroid, the purple was nice and the red was a little to deep and let more green shine... Of course on Video vs Naked eye is always a big difference, nice work Fonzie 👍😎👍
The RED looks like it’s on 🔥 FIRE.
That’s away from the ‘normal’ purples/greens/blues.

Nardo grey followed by white and purple. It is absolutely amazing how the same coating can have such different effects - thx a lot for these tests/ demos
Gray= NO, 1.5. Mandarin= Meh, 2.5 . F Blue= NO, 1. Yellow= Meh. 2.75. White= NO, 1.25. Red= Yes, 4. Purple= Meh, 3.25.
This pigment screams for a special base- CAMO
I say an H2, with a large camo pattern mapped out on it. (12-24 inch sections?) Fill sections with a medium green, dark green, and black. Apply this pearl over that.
I think an 8 or 9 gram pigment load would be better.. only the grey and purple have any real good look to them.. the others are pretty lame...
Bigger load... and BTW the BLACK looks the best... that car looks AMAZING... and I would vote for black all day...
Looks like you could do a combo undercoat of purple and nardo grey... the effects are similar on both colors
Pure Purple, out of these, for sure. If you’re doing second place preference voting or something, then the red next. Blue is just the purple but weaker. Grey might look cool if it was a slightly darker shade; the mid-grey lacks punch imho. The orange doesn’t have enough contrast with the overall look, while the white and yellow almost look like you sprayed pure gloss topcoat with no pigment.
That said, I’d really love to see this over that black-blue shift you showed off recently.
Nardo grey and pure purple are the only 1s it really works with.

Wow I can’t believe that I just saw the M3 spray with this a couple of hours ago while I was on break at work and y’all asked about what could be some color combinations that we would personally use to try and see which is best and I called the Blue, yellow, Nardo Gray, or Fuscia which y’all chose purple instead, but totally forgot about like the orange colors, and honestly I thought the m3 being sprayed video was actually released today lol but guess I was wrong because here I am watching this and realizing that the m3 being sprayed was released about 4 weeks ago and THIS current video released 3 weeks ago, guess you could say great minds think alike. But damn I’m so curious on what Grabber Green or LIME green would look like with this hypershift. I’ll be the guinea pig and plastidip my truck. Y’all wanna help me out? Lmao. I’ll even drive down to you guys, I think it’ll be cool to use my truck as well as a tester because then since it’s so big you can REaLLY see everything in detail
Hyper car: Purple.
Súper car: Blue, Red.
Muscle car: White.
SUV: Grey.
Honda Civic: all of ‘em
I really like when you do multiple speed shapes .It let's me know how good it reacts to different base colors, and not have to guess how it would of looked over a different color. Thank you. One thing I would love to see in the future is Florence yollow ,gold's, silver, crom,hot pink, bright green speed shapes all get hit with color shifting powder .
I always wonder why you never see these types of videos go over gold! So many gold cars out there, champagne gold colorshift would be awesome to see
I feel like the white with some ZGP on top with some more coats or a bit higher pigment load would look just like the inside of a seashell with that beautiful color shift. Even with this slight effect in the video it already looks amazing! I'd pick white with a higher pigment load!
So you have a black spoon, it it looks gold. But on the black based car, it was green?🤷♂️
It looks like you're brewing up some magical unicorn power potion. I want some, for my dream car of course. It's not murder-matte-pearl-hombre-camo, but it will do.
My first choice would be the Nardo Gray, it looks like the Northern Lights or the aurora borealis, and i just do not like gray, but this interference mica just turns it beautiful, stunning. Then it would be the blue, the purple, the white which looks the colour of an opal gem, perhaps even the red which has fiery orange flames shining off it just like fire opals. The black car that you did i thought looked spectacular, absolute knock out even if it didn't turn out purple but greens and blues glinting off it. Thank you for sharing these videos with us, as the daughter of an old time mechanic, qualified in panel beating, welding (a member of the Institute of Master Welders), and spray painting, a very talented artist in his own right who always did the right thing by his customers. I like the red best, but I do think the orange would be good with a higher load of like 8-10g.
Flex Blue, Red, and Pure Purple are my votes. However, if I had to choose just one, Flex Blue, hands down, it looks incredible.
For me nardo gray, red, purple. But I have to say, I'm tired of all that purple,green, gold mix. I literally hate that combo/shift. I simply don't think that looks good. 🙈 and most choose that color.
Gray is my fave, followed by purple. But I’m surprised how much I like red, it looks like it’s on fire! I expected to like the blue because it’s between green and purple on the color wheel, but I feel like it gets swallowed up by the blue, and is too subtle.
The red looks like Iron Man with the gold highlights. The purple seems weirdly elegant. But the nardo grey is amazing! It looks like a spaceship or some metal from Sci-fi. Super cool depth of field in that combo, too.
But what happened to the green effect from the gunmetal job? I think different bases need different pigment loads to show the real potential.
Only worked well with the grey and purple. Everything else it just slightly enhanced the base color
I am not sure I am convinced by your 5 gram theory.
Or your speed shapes may need an extra 3-4 coats...?

The purple was just faintly showing in the yellow, probably bit more pigment load or another coat on the yellow would look spectacular!, however by what is shown The blue or purple base full scale would be a winner either way!

Actually I think the red could be amazing on curvy car like an old mazerati? I feel like we've seen video's where the colour seems similar to the grey or purple? Maybe it's just that it seems easy to imagine? Wait no just saw the fireball over red, which would be similar.
The PURE PURPLE & Nardo Grey came out the best! Perhaps if you added more powder it would've made more of a difference.

It's hard to choose between the Nardo Grey and the Pure Purple. I'd choose the Grey first and the Purple second. I think this Hypershift would look so badass over Honda's special edition Sonic Grey Pearl!
I had a horrible experience with autoflexing my car years ago and never looked at doing it again. Watching these vids tempt me, but Id probably only ever get it done by you lol
Nardo Gray and Pure Purple looked the best to me.
I’m kinda shocked that you could barely see it on the white. I Really thought it would be AMAZING in white.
I wasn't really impressed by any of them to be honest. Nardo Grey and Purple to me were the best followed by red. Honestly, I expected a much bigger impact overall and just did not see it. Kinda surprising.
The ZGP is crazy. It's a solid copper mixed with an aquamarine green w/highlights reflecting. Fuckin crazy.
I have a project for my Crown Vic.
My plan is Hot Rod Black base.
Then a thin coat of Deep Purple Micro Flakes from DYC.
I have 15g of it.
And on top Brandywine Candy High Gloss..
Honestly I have no clue how it will turn out.
Is it possible you can replicate that on a A4 template?
I would really like to see if it's a good idea.

Y'all should do this with the "mystery bag" ... Mix ALL of the pigments together and put them on a bunch of different base coats
Nardo looked the best for showing of all of the colors it made. Similar to the Black, though, I'd like to see the black with this thinner cover of this color.
Yellow, White, and Mandarin didn't give the shift a more pearl look, but no true hypershift.
Red and blue gave the best gold. With the pearlized look. Red enhanced the gold while giving the blue-purple a hint on the angle look. Blue enhanced in the other direction.
Pure Purple gave the lavender and teal highlights a good showing, the green gold shimmer was very awesome.
I do agree that the most visible is the cool colors, plus the red.
Definitely purple 💜 😍 What's crazy is the 2 biggest changes were Grey and Black was bananas all of the other colors weren't really even noticeable in my opinion 🤔
I'd say grey or purple. The rest didn't really have much effect or appeal (for me). I also want to point out you didn't try a green base coat! After seeing the results I kinda doubt it would have done much but come on, you have all the other colors :P
First pick: Nardo Grey. Second pick: Pure Purple. The rest were far too subtle but the blue would have to be #3.
I had done a purple pearl over plumb crazy purple base several years ago and even though i personaly just loved the plumb Crazy base. Left over from the late 60's Road Runners. Still love that color today. The purple pearl really washed out the deep color of the base. And almost made a fucia color. Looked odly good on the Hybusa very similure to your purple base test.
Purple, gray then blue and red are my picks- purple was incredible change, grey looked like mother of pearl afterwards, then the other two had enough noticeable changes that made the enhancement quite gorgeous!
It looks amazing on nardo or purple, but same effect that it had on the black. I like how it looks on white, very subtle but not ‘just white’. I would go for that on big scale.
Nardo Grey or the Flex blue are my favorites. I couldn't pick between those two. (Tried to reply to your pinned comment, but it wouldn't allow me.
for me it's a toss up between the Nardo Grey and the Red. The most dramatic in my opinion was the Nardo Grey. But I think the Red would look amazing full scale
Nardo grey looks the closest I've ever seen to true opal fire. That shift is amazing.
But purple pure looks like a f-ing spaceship. And I'm here for that.
I think you should base the bottom half of the car yellow, and the top purple. (Minnesota Vikings) with the purl over all.
I was thinking copper orange when I watched that video,but was actually disappointed that it didn't do more with the colors unless they're too bright that it canceled out... definitely the first one but the black is still my favorite outcome
